Leaves

Story by Kayais on SoFurry

Hello, this is my first yiff story and my first fictional work in a VERY long time. Please leave constructive criticism on the forum topic that this post generates --thanks in advance! UPDATE: I since changed my mind and made a few changes (more or less cleaned up some English towards the end. I thought about making this story more explicit, but it just didn't feel right. I'd rather keep it more romantic than cheapen it with some arbitrary money shot. That said, sorry for posting in the M/F section if that is not the convention here. Thank you for your support! * * *

Round and round the little leaf boat drifted, caught in a tiny tempest behind a rock. Come on, go around... Kayais thought ideally. The leaf completed another nonchalant lap around the pool, teasing past the current line. Its not going anywhere, its stuck. Kayais slowly stood up off his haunches, his calves prickling in protest. At a half-glance he noticed the leaf teasing the current too brashly and abruptly was swept along. But the brash little green captain, anxious to reinstill his defiance, prepares to execute the most magnificent nautical maneuver ever to grace this side of... well... the rock. An abrupt left narrowly escapes the deadly draw of the shoot and catapults the leaf into the rock. The outraged current presses on, but the leaf stubbornly wedges up against the rock, refusing to slip by. Stupid leaf... Kayais's brow furrowed as he turned away from the stream. In arms reach, a maple branch promised several fresh candidates wavering and whispering in the cool summer wind. Extending his arm he reached to retrieve the nearest recruit. "Kayais! Hey!" The familiar feminine voice violently tore away the muffled comfort of his fantasy. Seven hours after noon. Cool reality rushed to ripple through his naked fur. Kayais hastily plucked the leaf from the tree and clenched it in his paw. She trotted through the little brush barrier separating the bank from the mud path running alongside it, her delicate paws effortlessly parting the tall grass as it swayed back behind her, whispering over her sensuous ears. "How's it going?" Kayais tightened his lips and cleared his throat. "Oh, hrm, hey. Um, nothing. Just..." he gestured stiffly towards the stream "...How about you?" "Oh, nothing. I was just, um, taking a little walk and I saw you. So I figured I'd stop over and say 'hey'". "Oh." The fox femme tightened a corner of her mouth and looked at the ground. Her interest over a weed poking out of the mud satiated, she slipped the stem between her toes and gently rolled it back and forth, appreciating its coolness on her sore feet. Kayais, relieved at the excuse to end the award dialog, settled down onto a rock, his feet hanging barely above the water. With an affirming glance that the femme was distracted, he quickly readjusted the tightness in his pants. How embarrassing.. and frustrating. He ripped the corners off the leaf and watched them flutter into the rapids below. She was so beautiful. The tightness in his pants was making him sore. I should be able to control myself better than that, he glowered, shreading a leaf piece into smaller and smaller pieces until the pieces were lost in his nails. Soft pawsteps behind him approached. She smelled so... how do you describe a scent? It made his heart melt. Words, such crude contrivances, contrive to convince us that they alone can paint the landscape of our sensations, but besought by the most vivid of our memories, they pale to reveal their true desaturation like the rocks whence the rational minds that conceived them. She sat down. Moments stretched. The rushing of the water seemed to roar. "Would you like me to rub your feet?" Kayais winced at his brash request. Idiot... he muttered in his mind. Rub her feet... lame. He cleared his throat and pretended to notice something interesting float by in the water. The femme stopped flexing her feet, taken a little by surprise. He could feel her pondering his awkward overture, rolling it back and forth in her mind as he watched a leaf drift past the rock. The self-consciousness stuck in his throat. "Kayais, that would be lovely." she finally said, lifting her gaze to his own. Her eyes were so lovely, so dark and clear. She lifted her outstretched legs and swung them around towards Kayais, keeping her toes pointed towards him. Without any other options, he gingerly placed her right foot onto his lap wrapped his paws around it, placing his thumb on her sole-pads and his fingers on top. With moderate pressure he rubbed her foot up from her toes to her ankle in little circular intervals so as not to disrupt the lay of her deep, red fur. Her feet were so soft, yet so defined. Kayais couldn't help but notice how toned her calf felt resting on his legs. The femme murhred in satisfaction, leaning backward to lie on the rock. He watched bottom of her breasts rise and fall as he began to kneed the muscles with his thumbs. Over and over he repeated the massage, periodically rotating her ankle until all the tension melted away. Gently moving her right foot aside, he placed her other foot onto his lap and repeated the procedure. She seemed lost in a trance, though Kayais was too fixated on rubbing out all the tension to notice. Except for the occasional coo she may have been mistaken for indulging in pleasant dreams for her closed eyes and blissful smile. Suddenly a new pleasant sensation caused her to stir. Kayais, content that all the tension in her body had been worked away, had leaned forward and placed a light kiss above her ankle, firm lips parting her fur. He felt her tense as she prompted herself up on one paw. He stopped. "I'm... sorry, did I do something wrong?" The magic of the moment was precariously balanced between here and gone. Kayais flushed at his own impetuousness. He searched her face. Her eyes were open but relaxed, her expression content but almost... bemused? She seemed to have noticed something that she was keeping to herself. Kayais looked down at himself and realized that his pants were bulging. Embarrassing. Flushing deeper he began to turn to the side a bit and readjust himself. She interrupted him. "Don't." she told him softly, her eyelids growing heavy and propping herself up on an elbow. Kayais's thoughts took a while to reorganize, but he smiled as he gently placed her foot back onto the rock and maneuvered around her to lie on his side facing her. He gazed into her deep brown eyes and she gazed back, both lost in each other. Kayais stroked the top of her ear as she pressed her warm flatness against him. "I love you." "I love you, too." With a flick of the tail she knocked the Kayais's leaf off into the stream below. Off it went, swept away and into the distance.
