Ch-1 Suffering
Outcast, that's what they called her.
She was unwelcomed by her own clan, a misfit, purely because of the color of her fur and eyes. A black sheep to her own Mother and Father. Cast out for something she had no control over, and left alone to die.
How could they let their own kit wander off to die alone? Weren't they supposed to love their child? Like they loved all the other fox kits in their den? Why...?
Slick with rain and mud, she lay curled up under a blossoming sakura tree, her heart beat slow and irregular as she watched lightning flashacross the darkened sky, wondering if her family even realised what they were doing to her. Wondering why they didnt love her as they did her siblings.
Her body and paws sore, covered in mud, bloodied, she couldnt move... her body too weak from running through the forest away from all the hate and pain.
It wasnt her fault her fur was black, where her familys was that beautiful red, or that her eyes were like liquid pools of silver. She hadnt asked for this....She didnt want this...all she wanted was love, to be loved, to feel love. To feel....wanted.
"Poor thing...poor little one." She had not even the strength to look towards that melodious voice, but knew it wsnt a human or another creature who spoke to her. It was warm...kind even, and gentle as it lifted her up from the mud slicked ground under the Sakura tree. "Come now, nothing more will hurt you, you are special." Special? But she wasnt normal...she was a monster, different.
As darkness slipped her smoothly into the land of dream, she felt safe, caring arms enfold hr and carry her away, changing her into something new...somthing unseen in over a thousand years. Altering her future forever.
