"Mage hand is line of sight," Luna calls back, "But I need to concentrate.

While the three ladies are enduring the bad science of the derros a black furred grizzly in a chain mail shirt with black leather pants is taking on a purple and green octopus with an almost human face and ten arms wielding a halberd with crescent moon blades on either side of the shaft. The decapus tries to cling to the stalactites above and lash at him with its tentacles but the bear will have none of it as chops at the monster with his weapon. As the thing finally drops down to impale itself on a stalagmite he can hear the call of the beacon.

"Did the rabbit have a blindfold on?" Kody asks as he follows the fyzbyng.
"She did actually," Wheezer replies. "You know her?"
"Yeah, that sounds like Cassandra Forsaken, an oracle and former nun Father Benedict threw out of his church when she lost her sight but gained the ability to channel divine magic. The skunk is probably Yolanda Pasteur, a local alchemist of no small ability and the she-wolf is Luna Stone, a sorceress and secret agent of the council. They are all good friends of one another although Luna can be a bit of a wild child at times."
"They were getting awfully friendly in that chamber," Wheezer reasons. "Then they took a nap and the derro had their morlock slaves cart them away."
"Speaking of morlocks, we just crossed into derro territory," Kodyaz states as he starts hiding behind sizable stalagmites. "Be careful where you float."

Kodyax says nothing as he comes to the fyzbyng's defense. The morlocks never knew what killed them as the bear strikes from cover and makes very efficient chops with his weapon. "Fyzbyngs are not out to do us harm," Luna explains, "They actually help us fight off the other aberrations."
"They are the exception that proves the rule the Guardians live by." Cassandra says matter of factly. "Fyzbyngs are the only weird manifest stations of the darkness that have proven time and again to be helpful to the guardians with warnings and advice."
"So in other words, those things are friendly abominations," Yoda inquires with some understanding "So we have come to trust them?"
"Exactly," Luna says when the ground begins to shake. "Now what!?!"
"Hurry! Dire Digger is taking offense to these mines!" Wheezer yells.
"That's a new one on me," Luan admits. "And right now I'd rather not find out."
Fissures open up before the floor collapses to form platforms floating in lava.
