I really liked creating this story. It gave me something to think about outside the box. I am also going to try to increase my stories to about 3,000 words per story so I may not be releasing stories every few days. :3 I have been busy with high school and I already got a project for English D:. Oh well, I hope you enjoy the story! :D Please leave a comment or send me a message so I can figure out what I need to work on :3.

Jungle Fever

The boat rocked back and forth rapidly as the waves lightly cascaded onto the boat. Austin Starboard stood at the end of his beautiful white cruiser. It was small enough to fit only 4 people, but elegant enough to be worth $100,000. Him and a bunch of college friends rented the boat for spring break for a very small price since Austin knew a friend in the business. They felt like they needed a vacation.

Austin could feel the salt water fly past him by his cheek. It felt like a kiss. Sailors say it is good luck. A cool ocean breeze flew past him, filling his lungs with an air so pure and untouched.

The blue water shimmered as the sun poured light down in silence. The waves splashed up against the boat, splashing water across the bottom. It sounded wonderful; the peace of the ocean was unbreakable. The sun was setting, the atmosphere was getting colder. Austin could feel a strange presence. The smell of rain made its way to his nose. A storm was coming.

Austin quickly shook the thought away. He did not want to worry the others.

"It was a good idea to come out by the Caribbean." Austin told himself. "It is a wonderful place to visit. Nothing will happen...."

Austin jumped as he felt someone grab his shoulder, breaking his trance. It was Alexis.

"Whoa, don't scare me like that." Austin said; he smiled warmly toward her. But his efforts were in vain, she instantly saw his worried face.

"What's wrong Austin?" Alexia said curiously while massaging his shoulders playfully. "Oh, and don't worry. I mentioned to Rick to do nothing stupid if that's what is bothering you." She smirked. Her pink tank top, sunglasses, blond hair, and shorts gave Austin the impression of someone VERY laid back.

Of course, that was what they were there for in the first place. Austin's black hair blew softly in the breeze. His light blue eyes looked like the water they were in awe of. He was wearing a tee shirt with baggy pants. He was athletic so his muscles were defined very well in the clothes.

"It's not Rick. It's just..." But before Austin could finish, a loud bang rang out in the cubical behind them. The boat had a housing area like a home with a kitchen, washing machine, and seats perfectly housed by a roof. A TV was placed nicely in the kitchen for using if you needed it. If you went up the stairs, you would be at the rooms were Austin, Alexia, and Rick sleep soundly. Each room is separated by a door. The rooms were pretty spacious and each room also had a TV. A window overlooked the beautiful ocean in each room. The loud bang sounded like it came from in the kitchen.

Austin turned around quickly to see Rick stumbling in the kitchen clumsily. He managed to knock down a few plates.

"Sorry guys, I am still getting used to this boat." Rick said while trying to keep his balance by holding on to a counter. Another wave hit the boat, tilting it. Rick then fell over on his back. Austin and Alexia could not help but laugh at his misfortune.

The sun started to set lower, and he looked up to see the night sky. The stars shined very brightly, they reflected light down upon them. It felt like they were their only for them. But the clouds also looked like they were looming closer, their dark presence were revealed when a warm and cold tropical wind circled around them. Even Alexia and Rick could feel the unbalancing act.

"I think something is coming." Alexia said while Rick was still trying to balance himself. Rick finally got himself upright.

"I think we need to get off this ship." Rick said stammering as he found a wet spot on the deck, almost tripping again. Austin chuckled as Alexia tried to help Rick up.

"You don't have sea legs do you?" Alexia joked.

Rick shook his head.

"Maybe it's best if we go back into the kitchen. We can turn on the TV, and watch the weather." Austin suggested. Rick and Alexia nodded. Austin walked with the gang into the kitchen, sitting down in the bar chairs with a table that separated them. Then Austin grabbed the clicker.

Sure enough, as they clicked on the TV reports a reporter said very briskly,

"Anybody outside on this beautiful night beware. A storm is expected to cross the Caribbean ocean, and make its way to the islands.

Austin looked over to see Alexia biting her nails furiously. She hates storms with a passion. Rick was busy clutching the table for support while watching the reporter move around, pointing to each symbol on the TV. Austin saw enough, and turned it off with a click.

"I will go close the windows, and doors later on the boat. You two can go off to bed if you would like."

Alexia nodded while Rick stumbled across the floor to the refrigerator to grab a soda. Then Rick asked quickly, "Hey man, you look tense. You want anything?" Rick said smiling.

"Sure. Hand me a coke please."

Rick threw Austin a coke, and pulled one out for him. Rick clicked open his coke with a hiss, drinking it heartily. Then Rick asked, "You enjoying yourself?" While putting a hand on Austin's unoccupied hand. Rick's hand felt warm and inviting even when he was holding an ice cold coke.

"Ya, but the storms are an annoyance. Plus Alexia always freaks out at the word "storm." Austin said while taking a sip of the ice cold soda. It felt good after a long day swimming in the ocean, fishing, and parasailing.

"True I know how much Alexia hates storms." He laughed loudly, his blue eyes were the most noticeable, and his blond hair waved back and forth.

"Well I am going to go watch the storm. Catch you around Austin." Rick said while winking at him. His bright orange eyes were the things that stand out to Austin. God how much that made Austin want to confide his feelings to Rick. Everything about Rick made Austin just want to walk up to him, and tell him everything. But Austin just waved back at him. Something about Rick was not right though. Austin swore that one night of a full moon; Rick would walk past his dorm in college and walk outside in the middle of night. That gave Austin the creeps. What if Rick was hiding something from him? Austin then saw a flash outside the window in the kitchen. Then Austin remembered that he needed to close the windows. He quickly got up.

Austin quickly closed the door leading out towards the deck. Then he heard several loud cracks from upstairs. Alexia and Rick were closing windows quickly even when Austin said they did not have too. "They are too nice." Austin thought.

Austin shivered as the cold air from before seeped through cracks in the wall. It was haunting. The cold air wrapped around him like a blanket, warning him of the impending storm ahead.

Austin checked the time again to realize it was almost 11:00P.M. He sighed heavily, and yawned, walking up the creaking stairs toward his door. Alexia and Rick were already in bed. Austin closed the door to his room, wanting to be secluded from the sea. He changed quickly into briefs and a tee shirt. Austin felt his fatigue finally weigh him down. He plopped down on his bed like a heavy rock landing in a puddle. His eyes felt like 100 pound weights, and drifted into a well earned sleep.

Austin stood up in rose petals, each one a different color, and Rick was standing their holding out a hand. He wanted to go and spend time with him, but he could not reach him. He stretched out a hand, but it lightly touched the air, floating back down. He wanted to show him his love, and how much he cared for him then before Austin's eyes, there was a flash then nothingness, a dark black nothingness that seemed to curve around his body. He was alone.

No one to care for him.

No one to love him.

No one to...

Austin woke with cold sweat dripping down his cheek. He started to shake. He could not tell Rick his feelings for him, not yet. Austin looked over to the window to see rain drops hitting it with force. Lighting lit up the sky in a spectacular shade of white and blue. The clouds reflected with every strike, floating in the sky like airplanes. Then Austin saw it. A shadow fluttered outside the window, putting an eerie black around it. It looked like a wolf.

Austin was interested in the shadow, provoked by its presence in such a weird place. He wanted to get a closer look. Austin changed into a jacket with baggy shorts. At night, the Caribbean was a different place. The sea water made the atmosphere cold and wet. Thanks to the moon, the sea's tides were larger and more powerful. It gave Austin a sense of how powerful nature can be.

Austin walked quietly down the stairs, though the kitchen, and outside to be acquainted with the cold air that was brewing. But something was not right. When Austin walked by Alexia's and Rick's rooms, their doors were closed. Maybe the shadow was not even them.

The moon was covered by large, thick clouds, but the beautiful light that shined through still reached Austin's eyes. Austin could easily tell it was a full moon. The sea buckled and churned like it was living. Austin looked around to see something hovering lightly over the railing. It looked exactly like the wolf Austin saw outside the window before. Austin could see glowing orange eyes peering at him in the darkness. It looked exactly like Rick's eyes. He wanted to reach out, and touch whatever it was, figure out why it looked so much like Rick.

Austin reached outward, but then felt something sick to his stomach. The boat was moving along with the waves. It was slow at first; Austin could not have noticed it. The boat tilted sideways, moving Austin over. Austin tripped on the wet surface of the dock, flipping forward into the railing. His stomach hit hard, and he instantly felt his breath leave his lungs. He was found with his pants down. Gravity took its course and pulled Robert into the water. A splash rang out, and the boat tilted back into stability once more thanks to the waves pushing it back into place. If it stayed tilted a little bit sideways, the boat could have hit Austin on the head, knocking him out instantly. Austin tried to shake the thought away as he fought against the waves that tried to submerse him. They were his enemy; he will not give in so easily.

The water was surprisingly warm, and the cold rain falling down did not lower the temperature of the water. Austin could feel the water washing over him, submersing his head in the warmth of the ocean. This was not like a swimming pool.

There were no lifeguards to save you.

There was no laughter to be heard.

And especially, you cannot touch the bottom of the ocean without consequences.

Austin saw his clothes grow heavier, the waves grow stronger, and the boat moved further away as the waves pushed it further down the ocean. Austin was taught to swim when he was about 5, but this compared nothing to the kiddy pool. The waves were huge, and the ocean stirred like a monster waiting to be released from the chains that bound it. Another thought then crossed Austin's mind. A rip current could be underneath him, waiting for the right moment to pull him away completely or pull him into a wave. It was a swimmers worst nightmare. A rip current is basically when water is pushed sideways from wind and waves. This causes the water to go sideways. It can be very dangerous if a swimmer is exhausted. The best thing to do is float if these happen or swim sideways away from the current.

Austin started to panic as these thoughts entered his brain, and started to become exhausted. His adrenaline kicked in, and his brain started to pound which made his ear ring. The rain fell steadily, not worrying about the survival of a teen that just went overboard. The bitter taste of salt water entered Austin's mouth but he did not care. He just wanted to survive. His arms and legs started to cramp up and lock, not wanting to put up with the waves. Austin felt himself starting to float below the water, into the black nothingness of the ocean. The lightning reflected off the water, giving him two seconds of site. Soon the water will suffocate him. Soon he will have a coffin under the sea. Austin started to move wildly, but that had no effect. It just made him more tired. Austin watched as the precious air bubbles left his mouth and floated to the surface of the ocean, wishing he could take them back.

Austin's vision started to blur as the air left his lungs. He decided he should just close his eyes. It felt actually peaceful. "If this is dying, it's not so bad." Austin said as his last air bubble left him. He started to drift into a sleeping state. It felt like a dream, like he was floating. Then he heard it in the background. A splash and a swimming sound. Was this Rick or Alexia? Did they hear him fall into the ocean? Whoever it was, they felt warm, and especially fluffy. Was this a dream? Austin did not know. He fell into an unconscious state of mind.

Austin heard the sound of waves hitting the shore, and he could feel the sunlight on his back drying the tee shirt and pants he was wearing. Austin could feel the hot sand stinging his face, and around his pants. He could feel humidity. He opened his eyes. Austin quickly realized that he was not on his boat, but an island. Austin's light blue eyes survived the landscape. It was very tropical, and a jungle stood in front of Austin's main line of vision. Birds fluttered in and out of trees while bugs clicked sounds to each other. He was far away from the boat as anybody could be. The jungle trees were a very green color, and the sky was a forget-me-not blue.

"Glad you're finally awake. I was worried that you would not make it." The voice sounded exactly like Rick's but that was impossible. Austin leaned forward, and looked over his shoulder to be face to face with a wolf crossing his legs and writing letters in the sand. The wolf had a grey coat with a white chest, shoulders, paws, tail tip, and muzzle. His bright orange eyes stood out the most. The wolf's ears flicked a fly away and it immediately caught it in his paws.

Austin started to back slowly away; afraid of what the wolf might do to him. But if he took care of him then what would he do that is bad? Austin immediately realized that the threat of the wolf doing anything to him was low. Instead of scared to, Austin was more shocked to see a wolf able to speak, and seeing that he is crossing his legs, can walk. He wanted to ask a ton of questions.

Austin then looked up to the wolf eyes. He has seen those eyes somewhere....

"Rick?" Austin said while looking over the wolf's features.

The wolf nodded and smiled. "You probably never expected you best friend to be a werewolf huh?"

Austin was taken back. It all makes sense. The full moon, the wolf shadow standing outside the window, the random full moon leaves during college, the fluffy feel of the person diving down to save him from the storm, everything was making more sense. Then Austin felt like asking a few questions.

"How long are you a werewolf for?" Austin asked while looking at how well Rick looks with a more defined muscle core. No wonder Rick was able to swim him to a nearby island.

"I will be in this form until 7:00A.M then I will change back." Rick then looked up toward the sun. "It's about 6:30 right now."

Austin then asked him several more questions like, how hot is it in the fur? Do you have to shed? How did you become a werewolf? The third question was a stupid question to ask. He was obviously bitten. Austin looked closer to see a scar on Rick's shoulder. It looked like a bit mark. By that time it was already 6:45. Then out of the blue, Rick says,

"I have been noticing you are checking me out a whole lot during our break, and college."

Austin was blown away. How did he know? Austin instantly grew red, and felt like he wanted to disappear. Contrary to popular belief, Austin was actually kind of shy. He never was well at expressing his feelings. Rick got the hint.

"It's ok, I like you too. You're cute." Rick said while grinning and leaning over toward Austin. Rick started to stroke Austin's cheek very lightly while a deep throbbing sound came from his muzzle. Austin could tell he was enjoying it. He was so close; Austin could feel his breath against his nose. His grin made his fangs show. Austin could finally tell how muscular Rick has gotten with his transformation. He had a very broad chest with muscular legs and arms. Anybody could tell because Rick's fur goes over it like mountains.

"By the way, if you want to come into a relationship with me, there is no going back. You will transform, and stay transformed with me during night or day forever." Rick said while looking into Austin's eyes.

"Anything to be with you." Austin said back. Rick smiled and kissed Austin on the mouth. Austin could feel their tongues intertwine; their hot breath of passion for each other was relevant. Rick then leaned over, wrapping his large arms around Austin, keeping him safe. Austin could feel his large muscular chest inhale and exhale breath. His fur rubbed against Austin's ripped shirt. Austin took his hand and started to stroke the wolf's large arms and legs, making sure to run through the fur smoothly. Austin could feel a low vibration down in Rick's muzzle. Rick's muzzle was almost two times as big as Austin's mouth but it was enjoyable nevertheless. Austin and Rick disconnected the kiss, and Rick said one word to Austin, "Mate."

That was when Austin started to feel himself change. Austin felt Rick get up and watch while smiling as Austin changed into a werewolf. Austin looked down in surprise as fur started to make its way up his ankle and legs. His clothes were no match for the fur forming and ripped into pieces. Fur quickly covered his most secretive parts, creeping up towards his face. Austin felt a burning sensation as muscle started to form more. His chest grew in strength while his arms and legs grew outward. Austin yipped as ears started to come out of hiding above his head, and moaned as a tail became present. His nose started to grow outward into a muzzle like Ricks and by that time the transformation was complete. He was now a full werewolf. Austin got up from the warm sand and started to flex his arms. He enjoyed his new form, and nothing was going to stop him from enjoying Rick's presence. Austin then looked over his fur more closely. His fur turned a more brown color, and he had a white chest, paws, and tail tip. Austin started to wag his tail back and forth, moving sand everywhere.

"How do you feel Austin?" Rick asked as he surveyed his new partner from head to toe.

"Wonderful. I won't ever change back will I?" Austin said but instead of sadness in his voice it was delight. He wanted to stay in the werewolf form forever with Rick. Now he can finally express his love for him.

"Yes, you will stay like that until you die." Rick said sadly. Rick did not get the fact that Austin was happy just being able to stay with him.

"Rick, it's ok as long as I am with you." Austin said while walking up to Rick, putting a hand around his waist. They were extremely close. Rick smiled.

"Good. I don't want this to be a burden to-"But before he could finish, Austin pulled Rick into another passionate kiss. Rick was taken by surprise, but he closed his eyes, enjoying the sensation of his new mate loving him.

"If it was a burden to me, I would have run away." Austin said hugging Rick.

Then something popped into Austin's mind.

"How are we going to tell Alexia about this?"

"I think we can convince her to join us." Rick answered back smirking.

Austin and Rick walked off hand and hand to tell Alexia the good news.

Hopefully she will not mind being transformed either.
