Pumpkin's Beginning
The scowl Pumpkin wore was impervious to the gravity of the situation she was in. Chained before her kind, she snickered as her father, the King of Demonic Lupines, snarled at her.
"Pumpkin, I told you that you were not to leave the premises!" he growled. His voice was just like an evil villain from a cartoon that Mortals watched. The thought of Tyrantus as someone like the Joker made her laugh even more.
Mistake.
Never laugh at the king. That was one of the foundations that she and her kind had lived by. Tyrantus was over a millennia year old - one would assume his maturity would also be better. But still, he became enraged and the senseless scarlet of searing rage invaded the irises and pupils of his usually golden slitted eyes.
Growling, Pumpkin spat at the king's clawed feet. "You know what? You can keep me here all you want, Father. I. Cannot. Die. You yourself know this. You should, at least." She stopped and laughed grimly. "You were the one who created us all.".
"DO NOT underestimate me, Daughter." He retorted, his nostrils flaring. "We are a hidden race from the Mortals. And you...you...proudly gallivanting around drunkenly and sleeping with them?! Exposing us?! Daughter or not why should I show you mercy?!" he snarled, staring straight into her eyes with her frighteningly lifeless ones. "Then again. I should show you mercy. Your mother was much like you, Pumpkin. Stubborn and thoughtless with no inkling of the implications her actions can cause..."
"DO NOT SPEAK OF HER!!" she growled in response. She remembered quite clearly how the Mortal wolfess had suffered at her tiny paws. Conceiving her had been delightful. However, carrying her had been agony. Birthing her, had, regrettably ended her life.
Pumpkin whined a little. Tyrantus, seeing he had hurt his daughter enough, sighed, grabbed her neck and tore her from the chains. He tugged her close to his maw, enough for him to mutter in a rough breath "Get out." Before chucking her toward the portal leading from Lelh.
"FINE!!!" Pumpkin snarled. She turned and left.
