Fara shifted in the seat uncomfortably. First class for a rag doll... She thought, trying to find a way to sit in the cold seat. I bet it's more comfortable on the floor, She thought. She jumped down from the seat and curled up on the hard floor. She looked up upon the other pokémon around her. None of them seemed to be comfortable either, but they definitely weren't complaining out loud. This is what we get when it's free for us. I should have expected this. Whenever anything is free, it's terrible quality...

"Well," Skeln started. "Any luck finding a comfortable spot in here?"

"The floor is more comfortable, I promise you that," Fara said, swinging her double ended tail onto the ground. It made a thumping sound every tim she hit the floor with the ends of her tail. Lucky walked in and closed the sliding door behind her.

"Cozy?" She asked, causing Fara to groan. "There's only about an hour left, don't worry. I brought some... food like things from the front." She showed little brown balls in her hand.

"Nuts?" Fara asked.

"I don't know," Lucky said. "They aren't too bad, though."

"Gross, you don't even know what you're eating!" Fara looked disgusted. Eww...

"Want one?" Lucky asked.

"No!" Fara yelled. "I will not eat that! I don't know what it is!"

"Yeesh," Duce said, flattening his ears.

"Ever heard of trying new things?" Ches asked.

"Yeah, Fara. Try something new!" Skeln exclaimed.

"There's a difference when I don't know what it is."

"That's why it's new," Lucky said.

"But I don't know what it's made out of!"

Lucky sighed. "Whatever..."

~Ding, Dong~

"We will be landing in a few minutes. Please take your seats and make sure you are secure," the intercom said.

"Well, that's our cue. Everyone back in your seats," Lucky said.

"And I was just getting used to the floor..." Fara groaned as she hopped back onto the seat. She could feel the plane descending to the ground and watched through the small, circular window as the pavement grew larger. The dark gray colour expanded until she could see nothing else outside of the window.

"Lucky, are you sure that was first class? That seemed kinda low class to me," Fara said.

"I don't know, but I can't say I didn't like the free ride here," she answered in a positive tone.

"Well, I guess you're right about that..."

"Don't worry too hard about it, I bet they meant the cruise was first class, not the plane ride."

"Or maybe they lied."

Lucky chuckled. "Of course that's a possibility."

"I wish it wasn't," Fara mumbled, taking her first step onto the cold metal ramp down to the pavement. She cringed as she set her other paw down for the chill. "C-cold!"

"That's your first welcome to Snowpoint!" Lucky joked, adding on more thick garments.

"I might now understand why you weigh yourselves down with clothing..." Fara muttered, causing a cloud of carbon to float in front of her eyes for a second. She took a glance over at Lucky's feet, enveloped in black boots. They're so creative...

"I would give you a pair or two, but your feet would slide out too easily."

"So you're reading my mind, now?"

"Just a guess. That, and you were staring."

Fara sighed and looked at the ground in front of her. It was painted in white, she couldn't see any grass anywhere. She's seens now before, but never an amount so large that she could only see white for miles. She took her first step into it and her paw sunk down into it, chilling her arm.

"Sure you don't want to just ride in your pokéball like the rest?" Lucky asked, watching Fara have trouble getting her paws out of the snow.

"Where's the sightseeing in a pokéball?"

"Oh... I guess I didn't think of that."

"Speaking of things we didn't think about... where are we going?"

"Of all the places that I could go, I chose to go to GOldenrod, of all places. This is the center of the police forces... Why am I so arrogant?" Jupiter scolded herself quietly. "I have to get out of this place... and fast."

"Ma'am, if you're being chased, why don't you come with me to Kanto? I'm going to Lavender..." An unknown and shady man from behind her spoke.

"Lavender?" Jupiter smirked. "Perfect. I'll go with you... Mars."

"No map!? Lucky, we're going to get lost! And in the snow, of all places..." Fara whined.

"We won't get lost, Fara, don't worry. I'm land marking," Lucky answered.

Fara rolled her amethyst eyes. "I'm holding you to that."

"That's fine, but as long as I can hold you to your promise of getting to know the others. By the time we get to Olivine, I expect no tension between you guys."

"Yeah, I pretty much g-got that," Fara shivered. "Damn, stuttered..." she muttered under her breath.

Lucky turned around and lowered herself, holding her arms out. "I can carry you if you want."

Fara thought about it for a moment. She looked down at her snow socks, then back to Lucky. "Just this once..." She prodded over to Lucky and prepared herself to be lifted.

With a grunt, Lucky rose her up. Fara saw some of the snow melt off of her paws, and whimpered at the cold, wet draping fur down her paws. Lucky laughed at Fara.

"Not my fault that you don't have fur," Fara whined.

"I'm jealous. You don't have to think of what to wear every morning, but still you're going to look beautiful. Oh, but now you're wearing snow."

"Humans and their clothes," Fara muttered.

"You know, they make them for pokémon, too," Lucky said. "But I don't want to give you any."

Fara looked at Lucky with an unamused face. "Why not?"

"For one thing, we're only in Snowpoint for a day. For another, it would limit your movement in case I need you for a battle."

"That's logical, I suppose," Fara sighed.

"Look, we'll be out at sea for the next couple of days. You won't need them for any other time than when we're at Snowpoint. You can live for tonight, right Fara?"

"Y-yeah... I'll be fine."

"Remember that it was your choice to stay out of the pokéball, not mine."

"You don't know what it's like inside of those wretched things. All you can do it sleep. Nothing to look at, nowhere to go, nobody to talk to. It's like a pitch black solitary confinement."

"I've never thought about it. Pokemon just seem to come out all happy when they're removed."

"Because they've been let out of the unlikeable place. Makes me sick, especially when the trainer doesn't feel like walking in good posture..."

"I'll be more careful, then... I honestly didn't know that inside the pokéball is such a bad place." Lucky scratched Fara's head and she closed her eyes to enjoy it.

"Oh, here it is," Lucky said. "The, er... Toasty Tove Inn. What a corny name..."

"Sounds nice," Fara smiled, thinking about a heated, warm room. "Can't wait to get inside."

"Don't rush me..." Lucky said, making her way over to the door.

"Hurry up, it's cold out here."

Lucky sighed and opened the door to the Inn. When she opened the door, the feeling of warm air passed across them, causing Fara to purr quickly.

"Toasty Tove, may we help you?" The woman at the counter asked.

"One night please," Lucky said. "One bed."

"Got it, one bed, that is ?700 for one night."

"Okay." Lucky put Fara down and swiped her trainer card, paying for the night.

"You're room 3, just at the front of that hallway," the woman said, pointing to the left hallway.

"Let's go, Fara," Lucky said, motioning Fara towards her. Fara walked down with Lucky, the red carpet with brown diamond designs felt good on her paws compared to the cold snowoutside. The walls were painted beige on one side and red on the other, matching he carpet. Lucky took the key card out that the woman gave her at the desk, and inserted it into the reader. When she took it out, the light flashed green and she opened the door.

Fara took in a quick view of the room, the carpet was burgundy, the bed had a soft green colour, and the walls were beige like the hallway. The bathroom had a white and tan marble flooring, the porcelain bathtub, toilet, and sink matching. "The colors match the name, for sure..." Fara said, appreciating the expenses Lucky paid to get in here. Lucky put her case down and tested the bed.

Fara hopped onto the bed with Lucky and rubbed herself against her.

"Hungry?" Lucky asked.

"That's right."

"There's no food in here yet, we'll have to go out and get some, first. You coming with me?"

"Sure, there's nothing to do in this room other than lounge around anyways."

"Well, alright," Lucky said, getting back up. "I just sat down, too... I'm not carrying you this time."

"Fine..."

Fara followed Lucky down off the bed, towards and out the door. After Lucky finished lockng up, the door of room 2 opened.

"G-Georgia!?"
