"Chapter 1"

"The Beginning and Betrayal"

It all happened in the blink of an eye, the world had been changed. A hole was torn in the sky and monstrous creatures started invading Earth. Their red eyes stared right into the souls of their victims until they fell victim to their glare. Nothing would work against them, bullets, bombs, not even nukes, nothing could destroy the beasts. As humanity fell the governments around the world called for immediate evacuation. All who made it to the safety of the underground bases scattered around the world were saved, the others, well they were taken to a place that only existed in nightmares. A place where screaming never stopped and demons roamed free. For a century humans lived underground, not daring to adventure out into the real world, new generations were brought into the world and older generations died off, going to a much better place. It wasn't until a group of individuals who called themselves the "Humanity Defense Corps" that people started to have hope. They were the ones that were brave enough to venture out into the world and slaughter the beasts, this time with different weapons, holy weapons. Their bullets had crosses engraved in the sides, knives with words of god etched on the blades, and they all wore crosses around their necks to prevent from being taken away by the beasts. It is true that they did protect the people, but the land was never the same. Buildings were now ruins and most of the worlds land was nothing buy a huge desert. The HDC vowed to protect the people as they rebuilt their society, and that they did. The supply of food was enough to hold up, but for how long? The people felt safe, they felt secure, not knowing that they had a guardian angel looking after them, one who wasn't even an angel.

"108 Years Later"

In the pits of hell lived the king and queen of demon kind, both took pride in what they had done to the human race and both regretted nothing. Their son, now a member of the Hell Guard, they had time to focuses on their next prodigy, their other son, eight year old Satam. He would sit and watch as his brethren brought back humans to be used as slaves and souls to be cast into the pits of the fire engrossed sea that flowed below their castle. It was on the third day of November in twenty one twenty when he saw the Hell Guard bring in a old man, one who was dressed in white robes, wearing crosses.

Satam stood behind his mom as he watched the old man fall to the ground, the heat of the rock below burning his hands.

"Were is your god now?" his mother asked with a wicked grin on her face.

"He will return, him and his children, he will see fit that you all are punish."

He smirked and grabbed him by the collar, pulling him to her face.

"Listen here old timer, you have two choices, either you work for us, or you get cast into the ocean of death below us." she said, holding him over the edge.

He hung his head as she threw him to the ground, the guards picking him up, taking him away. As Satam watched him being dragged away he saw something fall from his hands. While his mother was turned around, speaking to the guards, he ran over and picked up the small package. He felt strange power coming from it as he held it in his hands. He jumped a bit as he heard his mother calling him.

" Satam, hurry up!" she scowled.

He nodded to her as he tucked the package away in his top. That night as the fire burned outside his window he laid on his warm bed and started tearing the wrapping off the package. Inside was a book, he ran his finger across the cross on the cover. He opened the book and for the entire night he read through the book, about the creation of the world, about the first two humans, about God and Jesus. When he got to the part about Hell and Satan he realized that it was talking about his kind, by the morning he had finished reading the small book. He didn't want to end up like his father, but he didn't want to betray his own kind and be rejected by his own family. As screams filled the night he started planning on what to do.

"118 Years After Armageddon"

The guards rushed up the stairs of the castle, trying their hardest to reach the king and queen in time. As they bust through the door, just in time to see the king and queen sucking face, they yelled out.

"My lord it's gone! The demons blade is gone!"

He broke their kiss as he got up, walking over to the guards.

"What do you mean it's gone? Who took it?"

They both looked at each other then back at him.

"It was~ Satam sir, he took the sword."

He let out a loud roar as he flung his arm against the guards, sending them out the window and into the fire pits below.

"Guards, fall in!"

As his wife got up all the guards bound in armor reported to his command.

"My son Satam has the demons blade, I wan't that sword found and returned! Do you understand me! Bring back my son and the blade!"

"Yes sir!" they all announced at once.

As his majesty slouched back in his throne the guards spread their wings and flew out the open windows. Meanwhile beside the pits of oblivion Satam kept hidden from the guards. With this blade he was sure he could help human kind in some way. As he peaked around the corner a guard spotted his long red hair and armor that he had gotten after graduating from the Guards Academy.

"We have a visual, we are closing in." the head guard reported through his headset to the kings dragon head receiver.

"Good and get him!"

Satam looked up just in time to see the guards heading towards him.

"Time to hit the road." he said, running off towards the portals.

"He is head for a portal to the human world."

"If those lesser beings get their hands on that blade then we are finished, catch him now!"

They flew lower until they were all flying right next to their target.

"Satam, stop this madness!"

They were expecting at least a response, but instead he smirk and started sliding on the ground. They looked up and saw they were heading straight for a wall with screaming souls reaching out for help. They had no time to react as they got closer. They last thing Satam heard were loud cries as he vanished through the nearest portal.
