Silnis

Silnis

*****

I had just finished breakfast when the doorbell rang, going to answer it. I brushed myself off, even though I had just woke up, and opened the door to see Markus standing there with a bouquet of carnations.

"Markus, I wasn't expecting you to come this early," I said, leaning against the doorframe.

"I was just excited to see you so I got up early and bought these flowers for you," he explained, handing me the flowers. I sniffed them and smiled at the smell. Carnations were my favorite flowers, though I wondered how he knew that, probably Garrett or my mom.

"Thanks, they're beautiful and smell nice. You can come in while I go and get changed," I welcomed him in, grabbing an empty vase from the kitchen and filling it with water before placing the flowers in. I brought the vase up into my room and placed it where my lamp was before, opening the shades to let in some sunlight. The carnations looked magnificent when the sunlight hit them, like jewels on an open field. I went over to my closet and dug through my clothes, looking for something nice to wear today, until I pulled out a long-sleeved white shirt and a pair of jeans. The shirt had a bunch of Chinese characters that I couldn't decipher and the traditional Ying-Yang symbol. I decided this looked nice enough and laid them out on my bed, slipping off my shirt and shorts until I was wearing only my briefs. I heard a whistle come from the door and turned to see that it was Markus.

"You got a sexy body. I wouldn't mind staring at it for a few more minutes," he said, ogling my physique.

"Like what you see?" I said, playfully swaying my hips from side to side. I could tell he was enjoying this, as I smelled his arousal already, but I needed to get dressed. I could hear a groan as I put on my jeans and shirt, giving him a sly grin.

"Why'd you stop? I was really enjoying that," he asked. I chuckled and went over to him, licking him on the cheek before looking down at the tent in his cargo pants.

"Yeah, you sure did enjoy that," I muttered, taking his hand as I lead him downstairs. My mom and Aaron had just finished clearing that table as I announced that we were heading out.

"Where are you two heading out?" my mom asked.

"I'm taking Silnis out on a date Mrs. Hearthglen, if that's all right with you," Markus told her. My mom looked like she wanted to scream in joy and faint, but she just gave a smile and nod before shooing us out.

"Have fun you two, especially you Silnis!" she shouted before closing the door behind us. I guess she wanted us out of the house or she really wanted us to get going.

"So...where to first?" I asked Markus.

"Oh...I don't know....maybe Jagged Mountain?" he suggested, playing with me.

"Really!?" I haven't been to Jagged Mountain in such a long time that it felt like forever! "Can we go, please!!" I was begging like a pup as I jumped up and down, saying please constantly.

"Sure, anything for my little sexy puppy," he joked, patting my head.

"I'm not little...," I grumbled, crossing my arms. Markus chuckled as he kissed the top of my head, licking it lovingly.

"Sure you are, but let's get going, shall we?" he said.

"But Jagged Mountain is like ten miles away! You expect us to walk there?" I pointed out.

"I knew you'd say that so I asked my dad if I could borrow the car for today," Markus said, pulling out a car key as he walked me over to a convertible that was parked out of sight from my house. It wasn't anything fancy, but it was my favorite color, blue.

"You're parents actually let you borrow this? Did they ask why?" I asked, running my hand over the smooth metal.

"Nope, they already knew," he simply said.

"Knew what?" I asked, getting curious.

"Well...I told them last night that I was gay, and they were cool with it. Your mom even sent the pictures from earlier to my mom," he explained. I had wondered why my mom kept giggling when she had her phone last night, now I knew. "I've never come out to them before so it was tense and kind of good at the same time,"

"I'm proud of you Markus, coming out to your parents like that. Makes me like the fact that you're brave," I told him, pecking him on the cheek. He smiled at me warmly before clearing his throat, opening the car door for me.

"Let's get going. Don't want stand here all day now do we?"

"No we don't," I agreed, getting in as Markus started the car.

On the way to Jagged Mountain, Silnis had his head resting on my shoulder as I drove down the highway, occasionally giving him a kiss or two. The wind would always bring his sweet scent to my nose, making this day all the more special. Silnis' little tease from before would always creep back into my mind, making my pants jump from the thought. Damn, he was just so sexy. Some part of me wanted to take him right there and then but I knew that would shatter the trust and love he had for me. I had to control myself or else everything that I've been working for would go in vain.

"Hey...Markus," I heard Silnis say, snapping me back to reality.

"What?" I asked, turning to make an exit.

"What made you fall in love with me in the first place?" he asked, looking up at me with those gorgeous eyes.

"Well...that's simple. I love everything about you," I simply put it.

"That's not a good enough answer. I want specifics," Silnis demanded, looking at me sternly.

"Gosh...did Luke have to go through this?" I muttered, Silnis hearing it.

"Yes, I asked him the same thing and he was very specific about why he loved me. Now I'm asking you the same thing. Can you tell me specifically why you love me?" he explained. I only sighed, wondering what kind of things Luke "specifically" said.

"When I first saw you in Art class, I had an immediate attraction to you. I didn't know what I felt at the time but when I saw you perform in the club room for the first time I knew that I was starting to develop feelings for you. Your voice was so angelic and clear that it was like some message that was telling me that you were the one for me. And when you performed on stage in front of the whole school, I was so captivated by the song and your voice that I found myself in my dream world with you. We were completely in love with each other and everything was suddenly clear to me, I loved you. That's when I enrolled myself in the Student Aid program, wanting to watch and be near you in your classes. You may not have liked me being there every time, watching you, but I had the need to always be there when you needed me, just like when you almost fell on your face in gym. I didn't care if I got hurt, just as long you were safe. Well...what I'm trying to say is that...I would do anything to make you the happiest wolf in this world. I would sacrifice anything I had just so you could be happy and love me. I love you because you make me feel like I have something to protect and love, and that's you,"

I looked down at Silnis and saw tears falling from his eyes, moved by my words. I hope I didn't say anything to make him upset. I was honestly pouring out my heart and soul into that speech I made, hoping he would feel it. Maybe I over did it.... Suddenly I felt him press his lips up against mine, his tongue sliding in and tasting my mouth. I panicked for a second and swerved to the right, receiving a few honks from behind. He stopped and gave me a grin before snuggling closer to me, nuzzling me under my chin.

"That's the best thing anyone has ever said to me. You don't know how much that meant to me, hearing it from you. I can't believe I'm going to say this but...I love you too," Silnis confessed, giving me a small smile as I stared at him with loving eyes, happy to hear those three words. I leaned in for a kiss and was gladly met with his lips opening for our tongues to embrace each other. Things were starting to get even better and our date had only just begun.

I fell asleep after my confession to Markus, getting tired from the long drive, but was soon awakened by Markus' wet tongue playfully licking my cheek. I groaned as I slowly woke up to the sound of roaring rollercoasters and screams, Markus' face right in front of mine.

"Hey darling, we're here," Markus said, giving me a few more licks. I softly pushed him away, stretching as I got out of the car and looked at the amusement before me.

"I haven't been here since I was eleven. It's going to be a blast!" I said aloud, thinking about all the extreme rides I would get to ride on. I felt Markus' hand slip inside mine, locking the car before heading out.

"It's going to be more of a blast now that I'm here with you," Markus added, giving me his dazzling smile. I giggled and gave him a kiss, totally agreeing with him. Markus paid for our admission fee and we were soon walking through the park, deciding which rides we should go on first. I spotted a ride that I remembered from the last time I was here, The Twister. It was a rollercoaster that had a lot of twists and loops, things I loved on rollercoasters.

"Let's go on that one!" I said, pointing to it.

"Sure, why not," Markus agreed, me jumping in joy as we made our way to the entrance. We waited in line and soon our turn was next, jumping into the front seats. I was ecstatic as the bar clamped down and we clipped on our seatbelts, preparing for the ride of our lives.

"Welcome everyone to The Twister! Please keep your arms and tail inside the vehicle at all times and enjoy your stay at Jagged Mountain," the speaker crackled and the ride started, the clanging of chains exciting me even more. As we rose higher and higher, I looked over at Markus who was having as much fun as I was. The ride soon got to the very top and we got a moment's look at the park before plunging down. I had my hands up and was literally laughing as the ride took us through two loops and five twists, having the time of my life. The ride soon came to an end and we got off, me still laughing.

"Looks like someone had fun," Markus said.

"Didn't you? It's been forever since I felt my adrenaline running through me! That was awesome!" I exclaimed.

"Of course I did. Everything's fun when it's with you," Markus said, pulling me in for a kiss. A few passing people giggled or ignored us, the both of us being completely lost in our kiss. The rest of the day was spent riding all the rides the park had to offer, both us having the best day of our lives...so far.

It was already 5pm and I was hungry from all that walking and fun. Luckily, Markus also had our dinner planned, driving us to a well-known restaurant in town, Star's Place. It was a good-sized restaurant owned by Star Puma, a puma of course. She cooked up dishes that were equally as good as any five-star restaurant. Also, she had a variety of foods from around the world such as South America, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.

The place was packed to the brim and I had doubts of how we were going to find seats, but smart Markus had made reservation for us. We were seated at a booth and our menus given to us. Markus sat across from me as I browsed through the Asian part of the menu, looking for anything new that Star had added in.

"Find anything that you like?" Markus asked, already chosen his.

"Well...I wanted to try the Spicy Red Curry Noddle Soup, but it's a little pricy," I said, kind of disappointed.

"Nothing's pricy when it comes to you. How much is it?" Markus asked, waving around a credit card.

"It's $14.95, but are you sure you can use that?" I asked, worried that his parents would yell at him.

"It's mine, and besides I'm treating you tonight. It's a date after all," Markus clarified, waving the credit card in front of me.

"Are you trying to say that you're spoiling me?" I asked, not sure where he was going. He just gave a small nod before the waiter came to take our orders.

"What would you two gentlemen be having this afternoon?" he asked, waiting with this pen and notepad.

"I'll be having the lasagna with a side of garlic bread and he'll be having the Spicy Red Curry Noodle Soup," Markus told him, giving me a glance as I just smiled at him. "That'll be all," The waiter gave a nod before heading to the kitchen, shouting our orders.

"I see you're into Italian food," I observed, playing with my spoon.

"And I know that you're into Asian food," he pointed out.

"Let me guess, Garrett told you didn't he? Or did you ask him?" I assumed.

"I asked him. He seems to know a lot about you though. Why's that?" Markus asked, wanting to know more.

"We were friends from all the way back to Kindergarten. Some people thought we were going out together but we saw each other as nothing else but good friends. We're still good friends, so if you were thinking that we once dated then you're sadly mistaken," I explained.

"Plus, he's straight," I added, taking a sip from my glass. Markus just nodded his head, understanding our relationship together.

"Too bad, with a guy like him you'd already have a boyfriend now," Markus said, me nodding my head.

"Yeah, I sometimes thought that. He's a nice guy and all, but like I said, we're just friends," I said, leaning over the table, "Besides, I have you don't I?" Markus chuckled before giving me a kiss, quickly sitting back down when the kitchen door opened and our waiter was carrying our plates.

"Here is your order of lasagna with a side of garlic bread, and here is your order of the Spicy Red Curry Noodle Soup, enjoy," the waiter left us as my mouth was like a waterfall, smelling the wonderful flavors of the noodle soup. I immediately grabbed my fork and starting digging in, getting a little kick from the spiciness. I noticed that there was some bamboo floating around in the soup, nibbling on one to taste how it was. I found it delicious and started picking at the bamboo, eating those first before going back to the noodles. I was busy stuffing my mouth when I heard Markus start to chuckle, watching how I was eating the whole time. I suddenly got red, realizing how inappropriate I was eating as I grabbed a napkin and wiped my mouth, the fur around it stained an orange-red color.

"You're just so cute when you eat. Makes me love you even more," Markus said, leaning over and licking at the stains around my lips. I rolled a ball of noodles around my fork before reaching over to give Markus a bite, adding a small piece of bamboo on top.

"Come on, try it!" I said, Markus opening his mouth as I let the noodles slip off the fork and into his mouth.

"Not bad, I can taste a little bit of spiciness from the soup and the bamboo is pretty good too," Markus critiqued, scooping a piece of lasagna and garlic onto his fork before doing the same thing to me. My taste buds were dancing as the sauce and garlic bread complimented each other, bringing a new view into Italian food for me.

"That's good, really good," I said, wiping my mouth as I pushed away my bowl, finished. Markus was finished with his as well, gesturing for the waiter to take the plates away. As the waiter was about to leave, Markus whispered something into his ear, glancing at me as the waiter gave a nod before heading back into the kitchen.

"What did you say to him?" I asked, getting curious. He put a finger over his mouth, signaling that it was a secret.

"It's a surprise," he simply said, a big grin on his face. I groaned, wanting to know what he had in store for me. Suddenly, the speakers playing the music were suddenly interrupted by a familiar voice, Star.

"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, a young man requested that he and his date for tonight would perform a song for us. Please give your applause to Markus and his date, Silnis!" A spotlight shined down on us and I was suddenly blushing red, not expecting this at all. I had forgotten that Star loved it when people would perform on stage for diners. Markus offered a hand to me, smiling confidently as he helped me up, leaning into my ear.

"Don't worry, just act like your normal self when you sing and you'll do fine," Markus reassured, leading us to a small stage in front of the room. Our waiter handed us mics before quickly leaving the stage, the music already starting to play. I recognized it as Never Say Never by The Fray, looking at Markus who gestured me to go first. I quickly got myself composed as I had the lyrics in my head, trying my best not to mess up in front of all these people.

Some things we don't talk about Better do without Just hold a smile We're falling in and out of love The same damn problem

Together all the while You can never say never Why we don't know when Time and time again Younger now then we were before

Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go

I heard a few cheers and claps as I finished my part of the song, now transitioning to Markus as he held the mic near his mouth and sung the following lyrics.

Picture, you're the queen of everything As far as the eye can see Under your command I will be your guardian When all is crumbling Steady your hand

You can never say never Why we don't know when Time and time again Younger now then we were before

Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go

I was taken away as Markus sung that part of the lyrics perfectly, giving me a smile as I watched him. The next part of the song was coming up and I saw Markus gesture to both me and him, saying that we should sing it together. I agreed, it only made sense that the two singers should sing together near the climax, singing in perfect harmony together.

We're falling apart And coming together again and again We're coming apart But we pull it together Pull it together, together again

I was suddenly taken by surprise when Markus grabbed my hand and held me close to him, dancing slowly to the music before the last lyrics came. I heard a few awes and whistles from the audience, cheering us on as Markus let go of me, giving me a wink before we sang the last of the song together.

Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go, Don't let me go

I was caught off guard again as Markus pulled me for a kiss this time, our lips meeting passionately as the audience cheered and clapped for us, a wonderful performance by us. This was the first time I've ever performed in public, besides school, and it felt amazing as we were showered with praise.

"I love you and always will, I promise you," Markus whispered into my ear, making me cry as he kissed me again. Those words were like music to my ears as I deepened the kiss, letting everything around me disappear as I was with the one destined for me, my soulmate. Little did I know that someone was watching from the crowd, trouble was only just ahead.
