Phoenixs story
Bienvenidos my name is phoenix at least that is what my friends and family know me as. Every one els knows me by my alias of Dialga or Dialga the traveller. They call me that because i travel a lot but i'm not liked very much because strange things keep happening where ever i go. I also have other names given to me by towns folk.
They call me the Black Wizard, the Dragon Rider, Palkia the psychic, Lucario the Powerful, Riolu the Bringer of Death. My partner through all this is Saphira, she is my dragon familior, only i know her as Saphira every one els calls her Mesprit the Gentle or Mespirit the Wise, they also call her Mismagus the Dangerous, Misdreavus the Cheaky.
However that is enough about me and my partner's names. The year is 4080 AD and i have been alive for 2092 years, my partner has been alive for 2072 years but as an egg. She lay dormant for 2968 years, that is a very long time to remain dormant, a little too long to be exact.
Dragon eggs are only supposcd to remain dormant for one throusand years. That means she lay dormant one thousand, nine hundred and sixty eaight years more than she was supposed to. But this is not a story of that this is a story of how i found her as an egg.
My story takes place in 2008, i was 20 back then. I had not yet found Saphiras egg so did not yet know of the adventure about to unfold.
I awoke to a cool spring morning and thaught of how best to spend my spring vacation. I started the day with a good breakfast of bacen & eggs then set off around the house tending to various things. Like makeing my bed, doing the dishes, doing the laundry, the ironing, feeding my pet snake Nagini and putting the washing out (now i know what it was like for my mum).
I decided to spend the rest of the day with Nagini in a national park, keeping Nagini around my neak at all times (so she dosen't slither off n eat some pore animal getting me in troble with the national park rangers). While on one of the trails Nagini started to get very restless. She was moveing around more than she usually dose on our hikes and on the odd ocoasion she would hiss or give my shoulders a squeeze.
To try and calm Nagini down i let her slither on the ground, that was a mistake as she slithered off into the trees. I waited for her to come back but after eight minutes i began to worry that she might not come back (gotten caught, attacked or gotten me in troble by eating a native animal). I walked a short way into the trees where i spoted Nagini waiting for me to follow her (but i didn;t know that is what she was doing at the time). As i got closer to her she uncoiled and slithered off. This time i didn't wait for her to come back instead i followed her.
Nagini led me to the very centre of the forest where none had ever been befor. Here we found a huge waterfall, behind the waterfall was a very big cave. It was so beautiful and had an eerie glow, its roof was high and had a few stalactites hanging from the roof of the cave.
The cave also had the odd stalagmite on the ground. I told Nagini to come over to me (as she had started exploring by her self) and that we were going home. Nagini gave me a very dissaproving glare and did not move untill i told her that we were going to come back and i just had to get a few things first. So we left the cave and forest and went home, i grabbd a few things we needed to explore the cave, a torch, camping gear, sleepingbag, food batteries and an explorers helmet, then we set off for the forest and the unexplored cave.
It took a while to get back to the forest because i walked back and that's not easy with a boaconstrictor around your neck, especially when it's hot and Nagini is 300 kgs (not to meantion all the camping and exploring gear pluse supplies).
When we got to the National park and i had put Nagini down to slither we found the road had a chain across it but that was the easy part. The hard part was trying to find the cave in the dark because when we were out of sight of passing cars, the sun had begun to set. We were also slowed down by the fact that we had to stop every now and agen so Nagini could warm up other wise i would have had to carry her too! and we wouldn't have got to the cave till three in the morning.
When we got to the cave we set up camp, being an inventer came in quite handy because some of my invetions were used to make camp, eg: the portable house with the essentials, bed, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, also instant food where you just put the powder on a plate or bowl and wack it in a microwave and viola instant cooked meal of chicken and vegie, steak and vegies, lamb and vegies, pork roast, steak and chips, and fish and chips. That is just some of the meals you can get, it also had a protable generator powered by rats and that is just some of the things i have invented.
After camp was set up i let Nagini explor the cave while i tinkered with an experiment. while tinkering with the experiment some thing went wrong an almighty explosion occurred. The explosionhappened with such force that a few stalictites broke the cave ceiling (compleatly missing Nagini as they hit the ground). When i regained contiousness i found the device that i had been working on was compleatly wrecked and my hair was on it's end and i had a black face.
I heard this strange hissing noise, i turned around and found Nagini rolling around an the ground laughing at how ridiculous i looked (with my hair sticking straight up and my face all blackened from the explosion). While Nagini calmed down i went and got cleaned up. After i got cleaned up we had a good meal. After the meal Nagini and i explored the cave together.
While we wxplored the cave we saw some beautiful cave formation, but we could not find the thing that made Nagini restless, the cave was just too big to explor in one night so we headed back to camp so we could get some sleep. I awoke at five in the morning and made breakfust i went and woke up Nagini so she could get warmed up and eat. After i finnished feeding Nagini i packed up camp and we went to explor the cave some more.
While exploring the cave i found an area of the cave i had not yet been in and found some evidence that the cave had indeed been explored befor (along time ago judgeing by how old the things were) but that did not diter me in the least for i was ditermined to find to find a part of the cave that had not yet been explored yet.
After eight hours of searching the cave i began to luse hope that i might find an unexplored part. I almost gave up when i leant agenst a random part of the cave wall and fell through it Nagini chuckled at my shock of suddenly falling backwards and followed me. This concealed chamber was the most strange thing i ever had seen at that point it was like i had just fallen through a wall in time. I slowly came to realise that i was just staring at a bunch of paintings on the cave walls.
I explored the entire chamber examining the paintings as i went till i came across a painting of a beautiful city, the painting was at the very back of the chamber, it had to be there because the painting took up two thirds of the cave wall. I examined the painting and came across an odd symbol init, i reached out and touched the symbol and the entire chamber began to shack makeing Nagini hiss loudly in anoience.
I didn't know what was happening i thought that the cave was collapsing untill a split appered in the painting and i realised it was not just a painting of a city it was a huge door concealing the entrance to the real city. I walked through the doors with Nagini around my neck as i had picked her up while the doors opened. When we were through the doors they closed, i noticed that the city was a huge fort and it's gets were garded noot by people but by empty suits of the strangest armor i have ever seen they were purple and covered in strange markings around the neck was a black cape and at their side was a sheathed sword and in one hand they had an axe.
I had moved closer and lefted the visor of one of the suits of armor when it spook and i jumped back in surprise it said "none but the dragon guardians my pass!" i said "what is a dragon guardian?" it replyed, "a dragon guardian is a being that is one with dragon... now we shal see if you are a dragon guardian..." The armors helmet eyes begain to glow red and then the red glow became like a blinding spot light, i put my right hand up to shield my eyes as the light scand me, it was then i felt the burning sensation on the palm of my right hand.
When the blinding light had gone i looked at the palm of my right hand and saw a strange glowing red mark on it like i had just been branded with it, the empty suit of armor then said " you have the mark of a dragon guardian you may pass". Then the other one that had not spook the first time said " you must go to the armory, then you must find your partner hidden in this fortress, good luck to you DG" and they feel silent as they steped aside for me to pass and moved nore spook eney more.
I walked past the suits of armor ( Nagini hissed at them as we passed but they remained still and silent) and the gate befor i realised i didn't know where the armory was so turned around to ask when i saw one of the suits of armor looking at me it chuckled and said "follow your snake she knows where to go" with that it faced forward and fell silent and motionless once more.
I looked back at Nagini and was surprised to see she was no longer around my neck but on the ground and she was already slithering off not waisting eney time i followed her she seamed to know where she was going. We were moveing for 30 minutes befor we came to a building the size of a gymnasium, above the door was a plaque depicting armor being made this clearly was the armory.
We went through the doors and inside we found in the very center of the room a red suit of armor, this had to be for me because it was the only fully assembled suit that did not start walking away the moment i entered the room. It looked exactly like the ones guarding the gates except it was red while they were purple and the cape on mine was violet while their capes were black. I walked right up to my suit of armor and noticed that it had a strange mark right in the center of the forehead of the helmet, i extended my hand and touched the strange mark, the moment i touched it my suit of armor sprang to life and started danceing on the spot, eagerly awating me to give it some instructions.
I staired opened mouthed untill it stopped danceing on the spot and stood with it's arms crossed tapping it's foot impatiently as if saying it's very rude to stair you know. I looked at Nagini and she looked back at me with a giggle and gave me a nod of the head and slithered over to the door, i looked back at my suit of armor and beckoned for it to follow us, i turned around snd walked out of the armoury door, once out side i spoted Nagini slithering off up the street.
I went right after her and heard the suit of armor following very noisely going clank, clank, clank of the flagstone path as it walked, it took us six hours the building in which Saphiras egg was kept, the building was bigger then a church and above it's double doors was a stone plaque with the picture of an egg in a nest carved on it. We went through the double doors and found the whole place was covered in little arched shrines with straw in them, some where empty but still had the straw nest inside while others had what seamed to be enormis egg shaped rocks in the straw nests or at least what i thaught were egg shaped rocks, i walked up to a certin section of the wall and found to my surprise that one of the egg shaped rocks had started to glow brighter with every step i took towards it.
When i was level with the wall i had to crane my neck to see the brightly glowing rock, it was up so high i had to stand on my armors sholders to reach it, up close it nolonger looked like a rock because it was very smooth too smooth to be a rock and was a metallic blue in colour, no rock that i have ever seen is naturaly metallic blue in colour or even naturaly blue in coloue.
I picked up the egg and jumped to the ground just as my armor colapsed, i toook the egg to the center of the room where there was a table with a little ring of rocks in the center. I placed the egg in the ring of rocks and stood back, after a moment the egg begain to crack and in an other two minutes the egg had compleatly hatched.
Out tumbled baby Saphira, she was a very cute baby, she was metallic purple in colour and had bright blue eyes, she had the energy of a young puppy and was a bit af a handful at first but after a while she settled down and i took her Nagini and my suit of armor back home at night so as to not draw atention that i had not only a big snake with me but a very cute baby dragon and a liveing suit of armor. How did i know her name you ask? well i'll tell you now she told me her name, she told me not exactly in words but her being a dragon made her psychic and that's the story of how i found Saphira. I'd tell you what it's like to have a dragon grow up with you but that's an other story.
