Pulling out my toast, I buttered it, then slipped back into my seat, munching on the toast thoughtfully.
Mom got up and kissed us both on the foreheads, then walked out the door. I sighed, and then remembered that Jean slipped his hand into my pocket. I pulled out a note, and was shocked.
