The Last Human Part 16
Everyone was shocked at the fact the man they unmasked was another human when they all thought Raito was the only human left of his kind. The other human was waking up and they all knew he had many things to tell them.
"I say we give him a good kicking to his butt after we get what we want out of him." said Flintheart.
"I say we just put him in jail." said Scrooge.
Both Scrooge and Flintheart started to disagree and almost got into a fight but Raito stopped them before things got crazy.
"Can't you two just get along?" asked Raito sounding stern. "You two really need to make peace, you two will live better lives that way and all that anger is bad for you, I know it may take a while but you two need to just bury the hatchet."
Both Scrooge and Flintheart knew Raito was right and they stopped fighting, now all of them knew they had to find out what the criminal knew that they didn't know.
"Who are you?" asked Raito looking serious.
The other human had long red grey and green eyes, he appeared to be around Scrooge's age or maybe older, he seemed to be a little taller than Raito by four inches.
"They call me Mantis." he said in a high yet haunting, scary voice that sounded like he was a ghost.
"Why did you break in and try to take my- I mean why did you try and take Bentina hostage?" said Raito with a hiccup.
"It's a long, crazy story." said Mantis with a slight crazed giggle in his tone.
Raito pulled out a knife that was a little over a foot long and held it to Mantis' neck in case he refuses to tell them anything they want or need to know.
"Start talking." said Raito in a deep, demonic voice.
"I work for the one who burned down that building in Duckberg, he's after the one person that is the only one who can stop him." said Mantis with a look of fear in his eyes.
"Whose he after?" asked Webra as she was taking notes.
"He's after him, Raito Iwamatsu." said Mantis with an evil grin.
Everyone started to think that this was a shock to the system or just an evil thing that a criminal would do, they all started to wonder what this man wanted with Raito.
"What's he wanted with Raito?" asked Magica crossing her arms.
"Raito was the one who exposed him to the public for everything he's done, he wants revenge but he has a plan." said Mantis starting to breathe in and out like he had a gas mask on. "He wants to eradicate all who know him and all who know Raito so he can try and make it seem like he doesn't exist, he thinks if he does that, than no one will know who he is or what he's done."
Raito started to feel fear welling up inside him but he didn't show it on his face, he than sucker punched Mantis but luckily for Mantis, no bones were broken. Raito placed the knife at his neck put at the jugular.
"That bastard, why are you working for him?" said Raito sharply in his normal voice.
"I used to work for him." said Mantis shaking his head from a chill. "Why don't you tell everyone here what your hiding from them, they don't know why you left Japan, they have no clue what you did during your travels to parts of the world and the people you've taken down or how you got your powers. Why don't you tell them everything."
Raito's face turned from anger to depressed, he knew one day he had to tell everyone everything about his life and he lowered the blade away from Mantis' neck and put it back in the holster.
"Raito hasn't done anything." said Webby.
"He's been innocent since the day we met him." said Doofus.
"No, I haven't been telling you guys everything." said Raito grimly. "There's some things I've kept secret from all of you."
Everyone turned to look at Raito, wondering what he meant by what he said if he hadn't told them everything about his life or anything about him.
"Since I was a baby, my whole family died, they couldn't find out their cause of death because their bodies showed no signs of being killed. I was placed in an orphanage and my life was hell." said Raito sadly. "No one wanted me, everyone thought I was an ugly, hideous monster just because I was human and different from everyone."
Everyone started to feel his pain. Raito expected them to be mad but they were'nt mad at all, they were all supporting him and made sure he didn't feel worse.
"I was called many mean names and descriminated for my race, a lot of people would beat me up sometimes. But when I was eight, my powers kicked in, when I was five, I got into an accident with unstable chemicals that fundamentally altered my DNA and once I was eight, my powers kicked in. With such powers, they were without limit." continued Raito as he was getting deeper into the story. "Once I had those powers, I started to find out that everyone who made my life difficult started to get into an accident, I never found out what happened to them since everyone aid they were never seen again. My guess is that they moved, but I think I know what really happened to them, your much happier not knowing that."
Everyone started to understand everything about Raito and his life, but they all probably wondered what happened to everyone who made his life a living hell, they started to wonder if they all died but they knew it was better not to know.
"I was eight years old when I got into Toho University and I was ten when I graduated. After a few months after that, I ran away. I knew I wasn't going to get adopted so I left Japan behind, I've been to many places all over the world for years. I met many nice people who were good to me, even if I was human, I've put many criminals in jail and for some, lets just say some of the convicts I fought had to be...taken down personally, your much happier not knowing." explained Raito as he went on. "When I came to America, an old man from Germany flew me here, he was an old war pilot who had a passion for planes since he was a kid, that man is in his seventies now."
"What happened after that?" Huey curiously.
"Well, I'll admit, I didn't go through customs and I didn't take the standardized test to be a part of this country. I was afraid they'd refuse to let me be a part of the united states and send me back to Japan. The border police, the border patrol and immigration don't know about me being an illigal immigrant. I've erased their memories of everything about me from their minds." admitted Raito blushing.
"I'm very sorry about that prejudice remark I said those weeks ago." said Flintheart kindly.
"It's alright." said Raito. "After all them travels, I've seen many gorgeous women but none of them were my type and I've found a gorgeous lady in Duckberg, maybe I'll introduce her to all of you one day."
Everyone was surprised to hear all of that, they all understood everything now. Bentina blushed since she knew that the gorgeous lady he was talking about was her.
"Maybe when this is all over, we can make sure you become a part of this country." said Scrooge.
"But what if they won't let me and they send me back, I don't wanna go back to Japan, there's nothing left for me there." said Raito looking nervous.
"Than we'll be with you all the way and make sure they let you become part of America, they have to let everyone go through customs in order to become part of America, they have to by law and they can't say no if I have anything to say about it." said Scrooge proudly.
"That makes everything better." said Raito with a sigh of relief.
"How touching, people willing to help a human." said Mantis as his smile faded away. "There is one last thing I have to tell you."
Everyone now turned to Mantis as they almost forgot about him this whole time. They all wondered what he had to tell them all.
"What's that?" said Raito curiously.
"There are more humans in this world." said Mantis now looking serious. "They're all in hiding in many parts of the world because the man I'm working for wants to use them for his plans but since non of them want to be a part of it, no one is on my master's side."
This was a total shock to everyone, even Raito. Now Raito grabbed his chin and faced Mantis' face to his direction so they can face each other face to face.
"Where are they?" asked Raito seriously.
"Many places all over the world, there's enough humans everywhere to populate half the world but they're all in hiding, they won't come out until my master is dead." said Mantis sounding tired.
"Where is your master?" asked Gyro crossing his arms.
"He's." Mantis began but he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest and he felt his heart going crazy as if he was about to die. "Ahhhhhhhhhh."
Raito quickly felt his hart and Mantis' heart was beating like crazy. He found out that Mantis is having a heart attack.
"Call a doctor." said Scrooge looking terrified.
"My master.....he's coming to Duckberg.......he's going to kill everyone.......it's too late for me.....I'm a dead man for telling the enemy anything." said Mantis between heavy breaths. "I'm already de...."
Mantis didn't finish his sentence at all as his body stopped moving all together. Raito felt his heart and Mantis had no pulse.
"He's dead, it was a heart attack." said Raito grimly.
Everyone was shocked at what they saw. They called an ambulance to retrieve the body of Mantis. Everyone knew a lot of things that were going to happen and things they knew will change the world. Raito isn't the last human, there are other humans all over the world in hiding from Mantis' master and Mantis' master is coming to Duckberg to kill Raito but Raito knew he had to be ready for the final battle against his greatest enemy.
