Chapter Seven

Regal, who made his way to Natasha's room to give Alex the scoop of what happened yesterday, he had only been here for a week and all of this is happening... Regal laughed to himself thinking on Alex's behalf. "You have just the best luck kid..." speaking sarcastically; then taking deep breaths as he walked down the hallways to slow down the rate of the water flowing through him. "I can't make Alex panic, Luxa had already reached her limit; we do not need another person stressing out over this..."

Standing before the door, knocking on it with a closed fist, at 0445 in the morning, Alex was to be up an at work at 0600. Hearing a shuffling sound from inside the room Regal took a step back on his heels then leaning forward with his hands behind his back, waiting for Alex to answer the door; it then opened with a slow hiss.

"Ah! Alex, I am sorry to wake you this morning lad... but can I speck with you for a moment?"

He was a mess, his hair was unkempt and messy; he had a little eye dust around the inner corners of his eyes; which Regal belived came from the heavy dust and iron satuation in the air at the Armory.

"Y-yeah, sure come on in" Alex yawned completely unknown to him of the situation; and sat down on Natasha's bed.

Regal stood looking at Alex who began rubbing the bridge of his nose and eyes with his left hand, taking away the eye dust.

"Alex... I ha--"

Regal suddenly froze, he looked at Alex who looked at him with his lively green eyes. He felt terrible for the news he was about to tell him.

"Oh man... Alex, I might as well say it; there is no easy way to say it" Alex snapped from his tired state and stiffened up. "What's wrong?" as Regal tried to rub what would be the back of his neck. He could feel Alex peering into his soul; his face was worried and quickly feeling with suspense,

"Ok...Alex, Natasha is in the hosptial in a critical condition, she went on a mission two days ago during her off-duty time..." Alex stood up and rubbed the back of his head and then turned around and put his left forearm to the wall. His worried face grew angry, his brows arched and he stiffen up tightly. "How did she get in the hosptial?" He asked with a quiet and stern voice. "It must be a trick... Natasha is the most toughest person I know; she could not be in the hospital" he thought to himself.

"She went on a simple scout mission during her off-duty time; a distress beacon was sounding on a planet that was very very young. And this planet should have no such thing on it; she investigated and that is all we heard from her for a day; we assumed it was radio silence... then she called for help with her GPS and we did not get to her until two hours later...I found out she is out of critical; but is still pretty messed up and may not make it out of this; she is in the medical bay under cord IV's and a statis tank."

Alex turned around with his fists clinched. Regal was surprised how well he was taking it.

"Alex... you should go see her" He nodded his head yes in response. "I guess she really is in the hospital" were the thought on Alex's mind. He quickly grew concerned for her health and decided to leave immidatly.

"Ok... I will do that, thank you Regal; you can leave the room now"

"I understand" Regal turned and the door shut behind him. He felt as he had broken what happy energy Alex had left in him to the situation.

Cleaning himself up with only a blank stare on his face, what would he do when he saw Natasha in the statis tank? Clinging on for life...

"Natasha was attacked... I bet I know who it was, it was when I first met her, I heard her having a large space-fight with The Clocks, I am putting money on this that it was them who had attacked her; for they were the only group that really were a threat to her... but that is really gray; and anyone could have done it; any group...she is Federation and techinqually; kinda of like a Space Cop; no criminal respects cops" He left the room with a bottle of water in his pocket and a towel over his right shoulder.

Inside the Statis tank, feeling only cold physically...her mind free and being able to wonder; she was a lucid dreaming state; having no real control over her body as this point.

"I can't belive this! Jeromy... your were the last person I would explect to see! With the Clocks...it is safe to say for myself my own brother is now offically my enemy; even out of the blur; I recognized that horn pattern anyday, Damn you!! If I make it out of this I am going to break your spine and crack open that fucking skull of yours!" Her body jarred violently in the statis tank; her thoughts channeling to her body as energy, she felt the cold move across her skin for that moment.

"Why did the Clocks want the documents for certain? I only wish I knew whose pages they took, it does not help me any not to know who those pages belonged to...NO, I think I got it; a infant human planet? It makes sense...those were human personell files!"

"But... Oh my god! Alex! They belonged to Alex, they must have, The Hardy Express was a Criminal Operation Front, the pieces are coming together, They took Alex's files so they could use him; or his information; they are studying something... but what is it? The good news here I am getting they do not know we have him in the Federation, otherwise they would just go for him instead. But there are major questions unanswered. Why Alex? Why did the infant planet have those documents? What are they studying and why? Oh Alex... Damnit! I need to get out of here! I must protect him! This is much bigger then I thought, it has to be! Let me out!!!"

Natasha knew she was in a Statis Tank upon feeling the coldness move when she yelled in her mind, her thoughts were channeling her body energy to her joints and limbs and she was thrashing around in the tank; and broke loose one of her tubes from the right side of her neck; her eyes opened and she could see only a blur. "Yes! I am awake... let me out of here!" She screamed producing bubbles from behind the mask that her mouth was on for oxygen, joints were not being used at all... but she was indeed still very injured. The liquid as long as she was in it was at full health; for in the tank there was no real gravity, just large amounts of fluid resistance.

"I only need attention... Luxa! Alex! Anyone! Please!" She was now in control of her body; she pulled free her hands and sank to the bottom of the tank with the mask still on her face. "Aww... are you kidding me!?" She looked down at herself and noticed she had be stripped of all her clothing but for a blue bra and pantys; shaking her head left and right. "Damn you Luxa... just have to check everything don't you!?" Approaching the glass and putting her hands to it, there was no-one in sight... She began to hit the glass only to hear soft plats against the glass.

"Hang me upside down and sideways! There is no-one out here!? What the hell man!?" She looked at the the tank to her right, and noticed that her oxygen was going down at a quick rate by a large needle she recognized from the outside. "Oh man, what did I do to sever the oxygen flow? Fuck!" She then saw a black blur walking across in the hallway. She hit the glass as hard as she could, her movement slowed by the fluid; yelling hoping to make any sound possible to attract the figures attention; only to make gurling sounds from the bubbles pushing out from behind the mask.

The figure stopped, and seemed to be looking straight at her, and quickly ran to the glass and put hands on it. "Alex!?" She shouted, the hands were a non-hairy peachy white color, and those were the only set of hands like that on this ship that she knew of.

Alex, who on the outside of the glass, he could see her perfectly in the fluids; he was astonished to see how quickly many of her wounds healed; she could not have been in critical condition... he gave a long hard look at her; looking for any outstanding injurys, or anything that had not fully healed; even though he did not know what injuries she did obtain during the mission. She could only see him as a blur...

Her bruises had leveled, her swollen eyes had reseeded and were normal once again, her fangs were still broken and busted out from her head and the rest of her body had been stripped down of its clothing; He could see her talking at him; but could not hear anything she said. "What!?" She then pointed to the oxygen tank that was lowering down. "Oh! Hold on!" He ran to the side and flipped a switch, and the amount of oxygen to the mask increased. "Oh...thank you so much Alex" Natasha thought to herself as she let herself sink more to the floor.

"There has got be be a mic in that mask...Dad told me all about these tanks...where is that switch?" Natasha watched him go to a control panel and hit a button. "Natasha? Can you hear me in there?" She nodded her head yes and gave a thumbs up. "Ok, I am going to try to turn on that mike in your mask, so at least you can talk...how did you wake up from that lucid state anyway?"

She crossed her arms and legs; floating in the fluid as her tail swished slowly back and forth. "Is that something you should be asking right now?" She muttered under her breath.

"Ok, how is that? Try speaking now" "-Lex! Thank god you made it here in time..." "Natasha, who attacked you? It was the Clocks was'nt it?" "Yeah! An- Wait, how did you know that?" "You had a spacefight with clocks, I just put two and two together..." "Smart lad, it turns out my own brother had his henchmen beat the hell out of me, Alex! They are trying to find you; I know this because there were documents taken from that infant planet I was on... I strongly belive that they belong to you..." Alex turned his head and rubbed his chin then snapped his fingers and faced her once more. "No, they were not just on me...they belonged to my entire family; My dad once told me that we all have our secrets; and ours is kept 'were the youngin's and the innocent hide' " "That planet...what all did your Dad do for the Goverment?" Alex shook his head left and right. "I don't know... he would never tell me" "Damn it... this is big Alex, I strongly feel that they are trying to research something, but they need you do it; what other reason would they take your family information and documents?" "Good point...Why did your brother attack you?" "He...went completely evil on me, he was once just a simple mobster and in my service I often had to act as a Police Officer back on planetside; Luxa and I were often dealing with this idiot; but we never arrested him; he is my brother; he looked out for me and I did also for him" "You protected each other..." She nodded her head yes.

"I am sorry he turned on you the way he did, but if they are doing something big; Luxa derseves the right to know as soon as possible" "Yes, she does; quick; drain the fluid slowly; so we can see if I am well enough to walk" He returned to the console and pulled back a lever; an alarm began to blare. "No! Shut that off!" He reached over to a panel on the wall; opened it and pulled wires with a violent jerk silencing it. "Wow kid, you just keep on impressing me" she laughed giving him a thumbs up. The fluids slowly drained from the tank, her head was the first to surface; taking off the mask she took a deep breath and wiped the fluids from her eyes to see Alex more clearly. "How does that feel?" "Good, so far, keep going!"

From outside the hallway, Regal was heading to the Statis tank to check on Natasha. "How does that feel?" He heard Alex's voice from around the corner. "Good, so far...keep going!" "What the hell!?" Regal turned the corner to see Alex draining the tank; he sighed thinking they were making the beast with two backs; but then snapped himself out of it and yelled. "Alex! What the hell are you doing man!? This is dangerous!" "Shut up Regal! I gave him an order! You won't belive what is going on!"

As the tank drained, she told Regal what she told Alex; and Alex told him addition tidbits of the situation he figured out from Natasha. "My god... so your certain they are doing something big? But the problem is, we don't know what that is..." "That is correct" The tank had been completely empited by now, she shook her legs down and Alex opened the tank door. "Thank you so much Alex, I am so glad you came around" she noticed the towel on his shoulder and took it from him and began to wipe herself down from it. "Sorry Alex" she appologized taking his towel, and then noticed the water in his pocket and even took that; quickly unscrewed it and drank it in a couple of gulps and threw the empty bottle behind her, with a few miniutes she had cleaned herself from the statis cell; and then wrapped the towel around her. "I hate that tank...but by god does it work!" "No kidding... the nurses told me your were critical!" "Oh hell no, I have had worse then that; besides! What do those gown-wearing tards know about my body? I ain't no ordinary freaking Soparla"

They followed Natasha to the bridge, and from the bridge with many of the crew looking at her. "Do your work!" Regal shouted and the crew turned their heads back to their screens. "Luxa!?" Natasha yelled as she knocked on the door.

Inside the room, Luxa lit up like a light bulb "Natasha? No...it can't be!" She flung open the door and upon seeing her; Luxa cheered and gave her a big hug. "But! I saw you earlier! You were a disaster!" "Ok ok ok...Luxa, don't worry about that now, things are getting big... I will tell you why" Luxa calmed down and gave her another hug. And motioned for her to come in. "Alex? Come in here please; this involved you to" Natasha smiled at him; he could not help but blush. "Oh- ok" approaching them; Natasha took her tail and grasped his hand and pulled him in with a jerk.

The door slid behind him and Regal posted outside with his arms crossed; where was Beast? He had not seen him at all since...
