Wolf Heat: WHAT OF LOVE?

Right. Fourth chapter already, huh? First I was going to let the story continue with Ventus, then I thought that people might want to know how Luna and the pack is doing, so I had the idée to start the chapter with them and then move on to Ventus. Then I realised that it would make a long chapter, perhaps too long. So I'll tell you about Ventus in the next chapter, how about it?
On another note: I seem to write a lot of before-and-after text before and after the actual story (I'm doing it right now) and for that I am sorry. Hope nobody minds because I don't know if I will stop, I just like talking... Here you'll see **** marks meaning that there is a scene change. Tell me what you think of that way of changing scene so I know if it's a keep.
Enough of that and enjoy the chapter.
WHAT OF LOVE?
The sun stood high by the time Luna got up to search for Ventus. During the night she had as usual waken up several times to stretch her muscles, every time considering finding him to talk with him about what had happened between them. But every time she had hesitated, afraid of confronting him, of what it would lead to.
He had helped her with her heat, making her feel wonderful in a way she never had felt before. However it was the consequences of that day, and what might come that had her worried.
Once again she did not know what to do, she didn't even know how she felt about Ventus, or about what they had done. It all left her with a cold feeling, the uncertainty, the fear; it was like icy claws gripping her guts.
Now when she had finally decided to seek him up, she tried her best to ignore that feeling. As she made her way to the watering hole she saw a group of males had gathered there for a drink.
The first thing that hit her was the male's lust-filled stares as she approaches them. Remembering that mating season still lasted for a couple of days she also remembered her own heat that had been forgotten as Ventus had taken up her mind.
Now it was back, but this time she felt it was not as unbearable as last time, and she managed to keep a straight face as she looked around for Ventus.
The males however did nothing, or very little to hide their lusts as Luna noticed when one of them suddenly strike against her rump as she walked by. Twisting around, she avoided the male and turned to him snarling.
'WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!' She barked at the male. Then she flinches as she sees the naked lust in his eyes, on the brink of madness. The wolf was a brown and white wolf named Libido.
'Ehehehe...Don't be so tense.' He laughed; it was a cackling sound as that of a crow. And then Luna noticed someone coming towards her from behind. But before she could turn around she was tackled to the ground, a set of paws holding her down.
'He's right you know. Loosen up; we're just out for some fun. You'll like it.' The wolf above her whispered with a soft devious voice, his cock pocking against her rump.
Luna whimpered as the wolf that had launched at her earlier got up and started walking towards her, his cock hanging unsheathed between his legs.
But before they could do anything more, a yawn was heard and a wolf sleeping nearby got up. In the same motion he turned around and grabbed the wolf on top of Luna between his jaws, and with one toss of his head, sends him flying into Libido.
'My, my. I didn't think we had rapists in this pack.' A deep, soft voice said. The voice came from Pomi, a rather big red and brown wolf that seemed to be a bit chubby.
The wolf that had been on top of Luna, also a red and brown wolf with similar patterns, but much skinnier named Aviditas snarled at him.
'Stay out of this Pomi!' He barked at him, baring his teeth.
Pomi just kept smiling, not taking any notice of Aviditas bared teeth.
'..And my own brother too. And against Luna. My, I wonder what Terra would say about this.' He said smiling towards his brother Aviditas. Luna did not know they were brothers. Even do they share certain physical features, their personalities were so different that it seemed unthinkable.
At the mention of her father Terra, Aviditas and Libido did not miss the hidden threat. Libido left a cloud of dust after him as he quickly dashed away, his tail literally between his legs. Aviditas followed soon after, but not before giving his brother a hate filled glare.
Luna couldn't help but giggling slightly at the sight. Then she remembered what she was doing and got up, turning towards Pomi that smiled his usual smile. It was a calm, warm smile that gave Luna a comforting feeling. And it made a smile slowly grow onto her own face, despite the serious situation she had just been in.
'Thank you Pomi. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't been here.' She said, giving his snout a thankful lick.
Pomi turned his head, blushing slightly under his fur.
'Aww chucks Luna. If I wasn't such a heavy sleeper nothing would have happened at all.' He pointed out smiling.
Luna smiled at the gentle creature in front of her. Then she came to think of Ventus and asked Pomi if he had seen him.
'Ventus, that old trickster? No, I'm afraid I haven't seen him all day. Do he might be away on one of his trips. He has the most amusing stories that boy.' He said chuckling.
Luna stood in shock, the possibility that he wouldn't be there had never come to her. Then panic started growing in her chest, an horrible feeling of hopelessness, like a black void dragging her down, as if she was drowning. Until that moment she hadn't realised just how much she needed to see him. She needed to talk about what had happened, and she needed to know for sure how she felt. And how he felt, she added.
Pomi had stopped chuckling, and was looking at Luna, her reaction had not gone pass him.
'Luna...Why did you ask about him?' he asked.
Luna feeling that she just couldn't talk about it with anyone but Ventus, dashed away, leaving the worried and somewhat baffled Pomi behind.
Luna ran blindly. Her paws taking her to the place where the river flows into the lake. Her favourite place and also where she had encountered Ventus. Well there she throws herself down on the ground, lying motionless, breathing in the scents from the river, and watching the wind blow through grass in front of her face.

Silvia looked after her daughter Luna, which she had just seen running towards the lake. Silvia could tell something was wrong and turned to Terra, her loving mate.
'Terra, I think something is wrong with Luna. I saw her running towards the lake.'
Terra flinched at first, but then quickly got calm.
'Silvia, she goes there whenever she wants to be alone. If she needs us she'll tell.'
Silvia frowned. She was not satisfied with the answer, but decided to listen to him this time.
'I hope you're right....' She said before walking away.
Terra however did not believe what he himself just said. He knew the reason for his daughter's troubled mind, and somewhere in the back of his head he cursed Ventus for leaving with her heart.

Luna still lay on the grass, feeling the soft straws against her fur. The night had come and a beautiful full moon reflected in the water surface. Normally this would be her favourite moment, to gaze at the moon and its refection. But now she was busy trying to confront her feelings.
Is this love? She thought. Then letting out a small whimper she asked herself, if this was love why did it hurt so much? It was like starvation, an unreasonable hunger that left you with but one wish; to satisfy that hunger.
Luna however, did not feel hungry, nor did she feel like sleeping. And for the rest of the night she lay on the grass by the river, looking at the moon as she thought about her love.

And there it is. Perhaps a bit short and not too many events. But that's the way it tuned out.
As for new character name they have the following meaning;
Libido: desire/longing/wish/fancy; lust, wantonness; will/pleasure; passion/lusts
Aviditas: greed, covetousness; keen desire, lust/passion; appetite (food/drink), gluttony
Pomi: fruit, apple; fruit-tree
