Part of The Dream That Turned Real story series

Earlier...

Putting my wolf-vision to good use, i scanned the wall facing us for damage. In fact, there were no holes in the wall for them to get out of. Were they attempting to climb, or jump over? The top of the walls were curved inwards, like an igloo without a roof. A third option was flight, but we've not seen any with wings yet.

Pole-vaulting? Stacking? Forming a living pyramid, or staircase?

"I'm gettin' some really bad vibes from this place. I don't know how they're doing it. Let's head back, then."

-=:|:=-

We flew back in disappointment at how those things were getting over the wall.

"Man, flying gives me a headache from concentrating so hard. Ugh.." i said as i plopped on the couch.

"I'm surprised at your flying skills, it was like you were doin' it your whole life." Ryan told me as he lay on me on his chest, my package aimed at his rump.

"As much as i'm enjoying you on me, i'm not gonna bone you yet. At least, not until someone finds us a way out of here."

"I know, i'm not feelin' it either. But that's a good thing, 'cause your body is still in me."

Dan was watching the door when he piped up.

"Okay, this is getting boring real fast. Where's Gorn already?"

"Lemme see if i can Link with him." i said. I scanned the surrounding area, then around a hundred miles out. Nothing came to me.

'Gornak, this is Mike, Where are you?'

After a minute...

'Mike, This is Gornak. I'm running around, looking for something entertaining.'

'Well, get your bovine butt back here, and take us with you.'

Gorn grumbled at the term before replying, 'Fine.'

'I'll teleport to you, and zap us back to the house, okay?'

'Do it.'

I flashed over to Gorn, who was clawing at a boulder for some reason.

"Dude, what're you doing?" i asked.

"Making a way-marker, like a trail to return to should we lose our way."

"Seeing as you're physically strong, why don't you carry those boulders to your place, and build, like, a giant pillar that can be seen for miles?"

"Hmm... You make a valid arguement there."

"Eh?"

"You have a point?"

"Better idea: I'll move them. You can rest."

With that, i flashed him back to the house before doing the same to the rock and myself. Unfortunately, i flashed under the boulder, and got squished under it.

Ryan came outside to investigate the rumble, finding me under the rock, and freaked out.

"Oh, my-- MIKE!" he screamed as he went feral and lifted the boulder off of me and chucked it as hard as he could, sending it flying before coming to my side. He picked me up and cradled me in his arms as he cried walking back into the house.

"What the-" Dan asked before seeing my bloody, flattened form in Ryan's arms. "Did one of those demons get'im? What 'appened to 'im?"

"I found him under a rock, flat as a pancake!" Ryan blubbered as Gorn stepped in.

"He miscalculated his trajectory when he teleported back here. I'm assuming he tried to land over the boulder, but teleported too early." he said, scratching the back of his head.

"I can't believe i lost him again!" Ryan sobbed.

'Not quite...' i Linked with Ryan, sounding like Cortana from the Halo games, twitching my eyelids before blinking. Ryan's eyes opened wide having seen this, as my wounds closed, my skeletal frame reform, and the spilt blood was absorbed back into my veins.

"Oh, my whatsisname, you're still alive!" Ryan happily said as he hugged me as my form filled out.

"Of course. One of the few benefits of living in Hell: you cannot die. But you can be absorbed by Demons to replinish thier life force, and your powers will become theirs." Gorn said.

"Not now, Gorn, we're having a moment."

"I'll be out back when you need me."

"Out back. good one." Dan told him as they went into the backyard.

"I'm gonna have to keep a close eye on you, Mike. I don't wanna keep losing you."

"I don't wanna make you cry either, Ryan."

We hugged for a long while before Ryan suggested hibernating. I declined, as it was rather a bad idea to sleep down here.

"Wanna have a race, then?"

"Pillars."

"Shoot. Hunt?"

"Pass."

"What else?"

"Build something?"

"Like what?"

"Anything we want."

"What do we have for building material?"

"Rock."

"Okay, what do you want to build first?"

"I don't know. A house or two?"

"One for us, one for Dan?"

"Unless you want to build a whole neighborhood."

"Let's start with one house, first."

"Cool. But i'm the only one who can teleport, so you'll have to wait here."

"You two startin' something?" Dan asked.

I told him what we were planning, and the dingo's face lit up.

"Can we pretend to be Master and Ser- uh, Slave?"

"No, fuck that." Ryan snapped at him. Dan explained his idea, which got shot down by the werewolf.

"Actually, we could do that, Ryan. I don't mind the idea, it could actually be a good one." i told him.

"How?"

"Well, if Dan lands a sucessful hit, i have to go faster."

"Like the Egyptian slaves?"

"Y-yeah, something like that."

Unfortunately, Dan didn't think his idea through, and pulled back his idea, much to Ryan's amusement.

-==()==-

A minute later, everyone was outside as i came into focus with the boulder next to me this time, before flashing around in different places with more rocks, some, if not most, being at least twice my size. So far i had collected at least fifteen equal sized boulders, and the same number of odd-sized boulders.

"Where's he getting all these rocks from?" Dan asked before they turned to see a pillar in the distance crumble to the ground, the sounds of crashing rock following almost a minute later, before i flashed over with a piece of the stone pillar.

"That was you?" Dan asked. I nodded, holding up a clawed hand as i stared at him with a dark smile, before charging at him, teleporting around him to make it look like i ghosted through him.

"Don't think about doin' that again, mate, you almost gave me a... Well, like a heart attack or something. Still!"

I walked toward him with a Feral look in my eyes.

"Ah- hmm." Dan smirked before playing the submissive card. "P-Please, don't kill me, mister Werewolf, i've so much to live for! I don't wanna die yet!"

Dan's little act sent Ryan into a laughing fit, rolling around and holding onto his sides as i backed away and did away with the act, watching the two.

Dan moved as if he were going to kick Ryan for laughing at him. I gave the dingo the look again, and he pulled away, ears and tail down as i resumed flashing back and forth with the rocks.

By now i had found fifteen hundred rocks from at least a hundred giant pillars. I had tried to move a few boulders that were bigger than me, but i had to split them in half and move them.

As i flashed back to the house, i felt myself lose a bit of power during the teleport, and stopped a short walk away, and passed out a few steps away from the house.

"Oh, no, not again!" Ryan said as he carried my tail back into the house. Ryan felt me; i was steaming hot from teleporting too much. Dan used his whip as a fan to cool me down. After awhile, i came to.

"What just happened? I was teleporting, and all of a sudden, i pass out."

"You overworked yourself teleporting. Add to the fact you were zipping rocks back and forth, which uses more of your energy."

"How much stone did i carry?"

"Way more than i can count."

Gorn was still outside, but he was picking up where i left off, testing his strength with the boulders i had brought over, while Ryan and Dan were tending to me as i regained my energy.

"You should take it easy for now, Mike. Don't go past your limits." Dan said, his eyes and whip glowing a light blue.

Grunts of labor could be heard as Gorn struggled to push a boulder to it's final place. The boulders i had taken, i had shaped into rough eight by three slabs of stone with the claws.

I had regained enough energy for one last teleport before i had to recharge, and flashed over to Gorn.

"Nice work." i complimented.

"When you're here for eternity, you have to do something to stay busy." he replied as we looked at the stone house.

"Mike? M-" Ryan called out before seeing Gorn and I in front of what would be our place. "Let's check it out."

We entered through the front, and looked around.

"Place needs some decor, don't you think?" Ryan asked me.

"Could, but where to get some..."

Gorn was just about to tell us something about him when i cut him off. "Let me guess? Jack of all trades?"

"You guessed it. How do you think i got my furniture?"

Ryan and I looked at each other, thinking the exact same thought: We gotta kill up more Demons for their bones and hides, using them as furniture.

"Looks like we got no other choice."

"What're you guys talkin' about?" Dan said as we exited the stone house.

"We need some chairs in there, maybe a loveseat, and definitely a bed, but we need to figure out how to make leather out of those Demons." Ryan said.

"You're looking at one of the best hide-tanners around. I know the original, tried and true methods for turning animal hide into leather. I kinda came close to saying 'Cowhide' there, but i remembered Gorn was here, so..." Dan said.

"Okay, let's see that method of yours. The one for.. lets say, Bearskin." Ryan said.

"Wish i could, but there's no demons around to demonstrate it."

Ryan sighed, holding a palm to his forehead.

"Wait..." i said as i detected something running around. "I'll be right back."

Luckily, as a werewolf, i recover my energy in seconds, not to mention my sexual stamina.

I sensed the creature over by the pillars, and found a spot to hide while spying on it.

'hmm... appears to be a dragon of sorts. pearlescent blue, about as big as a T-Rex. Perfect.' i thought as i sized it up before it looked in my direction.

'oh crap!' i thought as i remained hidden. The dragon looked away and resumed it's lumbering stroll as i linked with the others.

'Guys, i found a dragon! It's scales would be perfect, don't ya think?'

'A dragon?!' Dan and Ryan asked at the same time.

'Yeah, the fucker's huge! A Macro, even!'

'Mike, whatever you do, do NOT let it find you. They have a sense of smell that's superior to yours.'

*Snort!*

Suddenly i was blasted with hot, smelly wind from above. I looked up, and...

"Ohh, shit."

I had taken my eyes off the dragon to talk to the guys, and it found me. I tried to reserve my energy by not teleporting, and ran just as it's head dove down in an attempt to grab me in it's jaws.

"Let's see if my arial combat skills can help me own this dragon!" i said as i flashed into my feral form and took off, running way faster than it could sprint, and flew away.

Looking behind me, i saw it take to the skies as well, as it chased me. In flight, i noticed, dragons have the upper hand, so i tried a few maneuvers, flipping this way, hanging a u-turn that way, even bailing from the chandelle trick because the dragon blocked me.

I headed straight for the house, zig zagging through the pillars with the dragon still behind me.

"All right, fire-breather, taste this!"

I nailed a direct hit between the eyes, making it fall back a few car lengths before resuming the pursuit.

'All right, guys, i'm leading it to the house. Just look for a big blue dot and a small brown dot flying around!'

'Got it-' Gorn said as we flew past them at around Mach one.

"WHOA!" i heard Ryan shout, as he cringed.

"Jeez, what the fuck did you get that thing all pissed off for, Mike?" Dan asked.

"Gonna turn this guy into wolf chow, and use it's scales as a bed!"

Just then, as i turned around, i saw Gorn, his eyes and right hand glowing red, blocking the dragon, and holding him back somehow..

"Dude! I was just about to-"

"Mike, listen to me well. We can use this being, in a different way."

I paused and hovered in mid-air, stroking my chin fur. "How?" i asked.

"It's power is greater than ours combined. It can help us defeat the Demons."

"I'm listening..."

"Well, you should have enough knowledge of these beings to know of their firepower."

"Okay..."

Gorn then brought the dragon to the ground as i revolved around it, checking it out.

"What a beauty!" Dan said in awe.

"How are we gonna make it fight for our side? This ain't exactly 'How to train your dragon".

"Easy." Gorn growled in his deep voice. He raised his left hand, pointing at it's ear, and a stream of energy flowed from his fingers like tentacles, as they wormed thier way up and into the dragon's ear.

Gorn made a few weird hand gestures as he chanted a dark spell or something, i couldn't tell, but after a few minutes the dragon finally calmed down and went into a trance-like state, and fall asleep.

I landed next to the others, and stared at Gorn as he worked his magic on the blue dragon, before looking at Ryan.

"So... you brought us a weapon. Not bad." he said, patting me on the back.

"Aw, i was gonna say 'it followed me home, can i keep it'."

Ryan giggled as we watched the dragon wake up. I went into my fighting stance, and my wolfie hid behind me.

Gorn chuckled. "Not to worry, he is now under our complete control, ready for battle whenever they come."

"Cool, we got our own pet! What should we name it?" Dan said. "Anyone who suggests Charizard's getting whipped."

"How's about Narok, short for Ragnarok?" Ryan said.

We agreed on the name, seeing as this dragon would be a doom-bringer for those demons, especially the Flamers, like the one that hit me earlier with it's fireball.

The dragon's tail swayed a bit in happiness, before grimacing.

"I think it's hungry." i said.

"Hey, look! Lycaon's here!!" Dan shouted before blocking Gorn's backhand with his whip, snapping him on the shoulder.

"Dude!" i angrily shouted at Dan.

"What? If it's hungry, it's gonna eat us first. Give'im sumthin' else to snack on."

I sighed as a new wave of Demons appeared, scrambling towards the house, toward us.

"Prepare yourself, Narok. Your stomach shall soon be silenced." Gorn said.

Narok turned it's head toward the mob, and opened it's mouth, unleashing a hellstorm of fire on them, killing them instantly. Except for the Flamers, which, strangely, were absorbing it's attack.

"It would seem that fighting fire with fire is not feasible here." Gorn said, stroking his chin.

"Hmm..." i said. "Ah, i'll just slice'em, then."

"I would advise against doing that. The area in which a dragon unleashes it's fire will still be hot enough to vaporize you." Gorn warned me. "Wait until - Huh?"

The dragon was batting the Flamers away with it's tail, and stomping on them, and crushing them underneath it. Dan started drooling.

"Uh, Dan? You're drooling?" Ryan said.

"Ding-ee hung-ee."

"Aw, jeez." i said, facepalming. Narok then swatted a demon towards us, and Dan whipped it into a fine puree as it entered the spinning rope vortex, and into his mouth.

"Nice one." Ryan congratulated the dingo giving him a high-five.

Narok then smacked one at me, and for a few seconds, i was a blur of wolven frenzy as i pulped the Demon. After i stopped spinning, i licked my lips, holding a goblet made from it's skull.

"Bravo, Mike. Inventive." Dan said.

Narok really cleaned house on thier butts, gulping down each and every last one, belching out a fireball as it's hunger was sated for now.

What happened after he digested them, well, we knew what was gonna happen. What to do with it? We'd figure something out.

We went inside our respective houses, Gorn in his, Ry and I in ours. Dan was still outside, waiting for the inevetable to happen.

"Ohh, we forgot about the stuff..." i said, looking around the room as Ryan sat on the stone couch.

"Next time, then." Ryan told me.

Gorn had fallen asleep, leaving the three of us with the dragon. We thought of stuff to do, but settled on long make-out sessions for now...

"Man, you are such a good kisser!" Ryan said as he looked into my eyes.

"I can say the same for you. We were made for each other." i told him before we smelled something awful. "Wasn't me."

"I think we both know who it was." Ryan said.

We stepped outside, seeing Narok had done his thing, before finding Dan rolling around in the giant pile.

"Jump on in, while it's still steamin'!" the dingo hollered.

"You're kidding." I said.

"I sh-" he giggled. "I shit you nawt. Come on, it's somethin' ta do, ain't it?" Dan replied, making a scat angel.

"He's right, but... Dare we throw away our dignity?" Ryan asked.

My mind said 'no', yet my baser instincts didn't give a damn about dignity.

We stared at each other for a long while, before Dan came over.

"If you're not gonna join me, i'm gonna chase you guys around and try to touch you. You know your inner beast wants to roll around in it..."

"If, by that, you wanna play Tag, you got another thing coming, dingo." Ryan said, holding his fist like he had a nine-mil aimed at his head. Dan looked at me; I flashed him the feral look.

"Aw, you guys are no fun to play with. Very well. Toodles!" Dan pouted before running full tilt into the mountain of dragon shit.

"Mmm, uhh... What's going on-" Gorn said, yawning as he came out of his house. "Who's in charge of cleaning up after it?" he asked, looking at the dragon's mess.

"Dan." Ryan and I said, pointing at the dingo.

"I did not mention this, but it is, unfortunately, another source of sustainence, and we have not eaten anything since Narok ate most, if not all the Demons in that wave."

"Correction: Dan had one, I had one." i said. "Although, i feel kinda bottomless, 'cause i'm still hungry."

"Your kind are known to be ravenous, hence the reputation of your kin to eat Humans." Gorn explained, making no sense to us.

"How the fuck do you know so much about us? It's creeping me out." Ryan asked him.

"I have eaten your kind here, and their knowledge has become my own. Basically, i know what they know. I have seen so many of you eat Humans more than anything."

"Aw, jeez, i'm full." Dan interrupted, belching in our airspace, reeking of untold horrible rankness. His gut had expanded tenfold; he was stuffed!

We sighed as Dan offered me a handful.

"Dude, i said 'no', already!" i said, growling.

"Don't you dare touch me with that, or i will send you to the next Hell. Human Hell. Christian human Hell. Where Demons eat YOU!" Ryan shouted at the dingo, shifting into his Feral form, snarling in his face.

"Ryan...?" i cautiously tried.

"WHAT?!"

"You need a time-out, Mister." i said as he growled in my face next. "Hon, i'm not scared of you. I'm tougher now."

Dan and Gorn stepped back.

"Where are you two going?!" Ryan turned to them. I tapped him on the shoulder, and in a split second, i teleported just as Ryan swung out at me. Hovering behind him, i popped him on the base of his tail with my heat, making him yelp out and try to jump at me.

"Ryan, i'm sorry, but when you act like this..." i said as i landed on the ground. Turning, i walked away, listening for any sign that my mate would feel bad for his actions.

Gorn and Dan slipped away, back into Gorn's house. Narok went behind our house and took a nap. Ryan was alone now.

'Ryan, i know you didn't mean it. I mean, you must have the worst case of blue balls ever right now.' i thought to myself.

Ryan had shifted back, sitting like a dog waiting for his owner to return. Tears welled up in his eyes.

"Oh, why did i hafta go and do that for? I drove my mate away yet again!" he sniffled. "I need to punish myself."

The werewolf bellied up to the mountain of dragon shit, and flopped down in it facefirst, acting like he were dead as he lay there.

I came back after awhile, seeing Ryan in Narok's crap.

"Feel better, Ryan?"

"Mmff."

I pulled Ryan out of the shit and hugged him. "You were saying?"

"Sorry i snapped at you, Mike. I guess i went a little, um, beastly."

"Well, sometimes our instincts like to get the better of us."

"Aww..."

Narok came over and cleaned us up with it's giant forked tongue.

"Y'know what? We haven't even figured it's gender yet." i said. Narok ceased it's current action to go take a piss on the shit pile, confirming it as a male.

"I guess that settles it, it's a boy." Ryan said.

"I bet he's a badass bootie-bangah." i replied.

We both laughed at my humor.
