The Last Human Part 14
A whole week went on and Raito's days at school turned out to be the funnest time he's had in years, he's made friends at school, tutored kids that were struggling with a class or two, amazed many teachers at how useful he was for assisting the teachers with teaching the kids and a lot of girls were crazy about him. For him, it was like being in Duckberg was the one place he could call home.
Raito knew that the vision he had was a strange yet shocking one but he kept that a secret from everyone because he knew that it wasn't time for him to reveal that to everyone but he had a plan or more to tell them what he saw and to help Magica and Flintheart without things getting out of hand. It was the weekend and Raito was with Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby and Doofus. All of them were at the arcade, playing a game or two.
"Raito, you act like you never been to an arcade." said Doofus looking surprised.
"Hard to believe but I have never been to one before, we once had one somewhere in Japan but it got closed down after some psycho went and burned it down to the ground, after that, they turned it into a comic book store a year after that." said Raito as he blushed.
"Oh, well think of this way, you get to have some fun after the tiring week." said Doofus being optimistic.
Raito knew that he deserved to have some fun after a tiresome week of school and he walked around to see a game he wanted to play, most of them didn't interest him at all and some of them he found weren't his style.
Raito suddenly saw a game he was interested in, he came across a arcade game called "Battle of The Samurai" and he walked up to it. Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby and Doofus noticed him going over to it.
"Looks like Raito found a game he's into that fits him well." said Louie looking curious.
Raito found out how the game was to be played, he had to use a fake sword to block any type of object that came his way in order to defeat the grand samurai master, he put in a coin and the game was getting ready to start. He saw his opponent on the screen, as soon as the enemy on the game started to throw bombs at him, he used the virtual sword and it threw the bomb back at the opponent, he won as the bomb blew up at the enemy. He started to draw attention and many kids watched him play, as he kept playing, the game got harder and the enemy got stronger. Finally, he got the final level and he fought the final opponent, he almost lost but Raito managed to have delivered a powerful blow to the enemy and he won, everyone cheered and saw that he made the new high score in first place.
"He's really good." said Doofus looking amazed.
"That was fun." said Raito with a grin.
Just when everything seemed alright, they heard a scream from outside. Raito, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby and Doofus ran outside and looked around to see what made the scream. They saw a building that was on fire and the Fire Department was there, trying to save as many people as they could, trying to put out the fire and keeping everyone at a safe distance. They ran over to the place and Raito heard a lady trying to get back inside the building while firemen kept her from going back in.
"My baby is in there." said the lady.
"The building is going to come down on top of anyone who goes back in there." said one of the firemen.
Raito knew he had to save the lady's baby, from out of nowhere, he jumped high into the air like a rocket and went through the window, searching the baby he heard crying in the burning building. Everyone was amazed at someone like Raito could jump so high and so fast. The lady was waiting for Raito to get her baby out of there, it was like being on the edge of your seat from an action movie.
When another little explosion went off, everyone expected the worst but Raito jumped out of the window just in time while carrying a baby wrapped up in a bundle as he landed on his feet. He gave the baby to the lady and the young lady was relieved to have her baby with her in her arms.
"Thank the lord for you, thank the lord." said the lady as he thanked Raito.
"Young man, we need to check you for burns or any injuries." said a firemen.
A group of doctors and firemen chekced him out for burns or any injuries and to their surprise, he had no burns, no cuts, no injuries of any kind what so ever.
"He's got no burns or injuries." said one of the doctors.
"How did the fire start?" asked Raito curiously.
The group of firemen were silent for a moment before they spoke of how the fire started, it was as if they were afraid to say it.
"It was an old man, he was wearing a gas mask, had long, grey hair and he wore a scientists uniform, a lab coat with a blue silk shirt, brown silk pants, black boots and he seemed to be of a different species, he looked like your kind." explained one of the firemen.
"You mean a human?" said Raito.
They nodded and Raito suddenly felt like nowhere was safe for anyone, he knew he's seen a man of that description but he never expected to see anyone like that ever again.
"Where did he go?" asked Raito looking serious.
"Well, we don't know where he's at but we know which direction he went." said one of the doctors.
"Where did he go?" asked Raito again but this time, his voice sounded firm and strict.
"He took off in the direction that lead to some abandoned warehouses near an old parking garage but we checked the whole place from top to bottom and found no sign of him." said a police officer walking up to them.
Raito now was feeling like he had found out about something he thought was over and done with. After the fire was put out, he suddenly jumped into the air and to everyone's shock, he was flying into the air into the direction the police officer had told him, they even saw a pair of large, white feathered wings sprout out of his back, like an angel of some kind.
"Where's he going?" asked Webby looking worried.
"He may be going after the man who set this place on fire, the police officers are still searching the place, even searching the parking garage for the arsonist. He must know who this man was." said the police officer.
Everyone was wondering why Raito took off to search for the mysterious arsonist, when little did everyone know that this was an old enemy that Raito had fought against a long time ago. Raito knew that something wasn't right and now he knew that he had to do one thing and that was to kill the arsonist of he ever finds him.
