Year: Unknown.

Time: Unknown.

Location: Unknown.

I wasn't sure how long I had been held captive for. It could have been days, it could have only been a few hours. I had no idea how long I had been sleeping for, let alone how long I had been awake for. Every time I woke up, Artsua would be there, waiting to inject me with something; I wasn't even strong enough to fight back or move my body. And every time I fell asleep, it would be because of Artsua, injecting me with something else. He was constantly weakening my body from all the injections, yet at the same time he said he was augmenting it...strengthening it. By the time I realised what the injections were doing to my body, it was already too late.

I made it essential to wake up as quickly as possible, if only to make a short struggle before being stabbed in the neck with yet another serum. But this time, Artsua wasn't in the room at all. I cautiously got up from the lab table I had fell asleep on, rotating on the spot and making sure he wasn't behind me, to my side or anywhere that I could see. No matter how hard I looked, Artsua was nowhere to be found. Perhaps I had woken up too early, or not at the time he intended. I was slightly worried, yet thankful that I had time to...well, just wait for Artsua to drop by again. There was nothing else I could do but inspect my body and the changes that Artsua had caused.

I managed to limp over to the large mirror in one corner of the room, all the while focusing my vision on my body. The red, scaled patterns on my body had become permanent; there were eight large circles on my back, four on each side, with many curves and bends along my chest. All of my limbs had three red rings covering themselves; one on my wrists and ankles, then another ring around the knees and elbows, then a final ring around the areas connecting my limbs to my torso. My tail wasn't that different from my limbs, covered by dozens of - much thinner - rings, ending with a bloody tip.

All the patterns seemed to converge around my groin-area as usual, purely for show of course. The patterns on my head however, seemed to act separately. The areas around my eyes had reddened, spreading out in small, curvy patterns that ran all the way over to the back of my skull, ending around the spine-areas that had permanently turned black as night. All this gave me a very intimidating look - as intimidating as Reptiles get - and gave me more of a 'tribal' look, rather than a monstrous look.

My scales weren't the only things that changed though. I looked over the scales on my back and the claws on all of my limbs. My back-scales had begun to harden and become even sharper than before; they were now equivalent to many tiny daggers bound onto my back, and would pierce the skin of anyone who didn't take care when patting me on the back. I wasn't even sure if I would be able to wear a biosuit and not have it ripped into pieces as soon as I put it on. My scales were just as deadly, and seemed to be sharper than usual and looked more like talons rather than claws!

I stuck out my tongue slowly, revealing probably the most fucked up thing that Artsua had done to my body so far. My tongue had been extended by at least a full inch, dropping down unnaturally further than it would normally allow, and it had changed from the usual light-pink colour to a now radiant purple. Not only that, but Artsua had also explained what he intended it for. My tongue could now secrete a kind of paralysing chemical, able to stimulate and contract the muscles of anyone who came into direct contact with it. Artsua called it the 'kiss of death' effect. Fortunately my body was immune to the paralysis...probably due to one of the injections 'given' to me by Artsua.

I withdrew my tongue and cursed out loud at my twisted form and sat down at the desk situated in another corner of my cell. I wasn't even sure if anyone would recognise me if I managed to escape. Even Elle would have a hard time telling if it was me or someone else. I had to admit that I was at an impasse. If I wanted to get out, I would have to play along and wait for the right opportunity that didn't involve going through Artsua; otherwise his 'defences' would kick in and paralyse my body before I could lay a claw on him.

"Hey kid." I heard a familiar voice chime. My body instinctively tensed up as a section of my cell began to slide open, revealing the same figure that had stepped into and out of my cell for the past...I didn't even know how long I had been there for. "Rise and shine, it's your big day today."

"How many more times are we going to do this, Dog?" I scowled at Artsua, dressed in his familiar attire as he had done ever since he caught me. I rationalised that if Artsua came into my cell once in the morning and once in the evening...I had to have been held for at least four days now.

"Obviously you didn't pick up on the 'big day' part I mentioned." Artsua replied snidely, grinning at me and stepping to the side, letting another familiar figure step into the room, dressed in the same blue biosuit as usual.

"I see you've brought your Dog with you." I retorted, looking briefly at the remains of what was the Reptile Artsua had experimented on before me. I had no more sympathy for the Reptile, and even less for Artsua. It may have been someone before Artsua came along, but that part was now gone.

"Restrain him and put him on the lab table." Artsua ordered the Reptile. It obeyed silently and had come face to face with me in a split second, moving with unnatural speed. Even if the Reptile was moving at a normal speed, I already evaluated it was useless to resist until I had a clear opening.

If anything I made the Reptile's job easier and willingly lied down on the lab table as soon as the sheets covering it were removed, revealing many leather straps that would hold me in place. It was no wonder the makeshift bed felt so uncomfortable whenever I tried to get to sleep. But even though I put up no resistance, the Reptile refused to go easy on me. I could feel the straps around my ankles, knees, forearms and shoulders start to dig in to my scales as soon as they were wrapped around me. The large strap around my chest, however, was a lot looser, if only to let me breathe properly.

"Let's go." Artsua said bluntly, motioning for the Reptile to push the lab table in his direction and out of my cell. The table I was bound to moved almost entirely without noise as we exited my cell.

The only noise I could make out was the footsteps of Artsua and the Reptile pushing the table along, though the Reptile made significantly less noise than Artsua. With nothing else to do, I took the time to think things over and examine my surroundings. Overall the corridors I was being wheeled down were no different from my room. The walls - even the floor - were made up of the same large white tiles, with the occasional thin outline indicating a doorway, most likely leading into another cell similar to mine. With nothing more to inspect, I was just left with my thoughts.

From what Artsua had hinted to me, this was most likely going to be my last day in 'captivity'. Soon my mind would be completely wiped clean, leaving just my obedient body left. Then he would use me to take out Club Nova and clean up the South-East district. After that...I wasn't sure. I would probably end up being tossed aside or reused to do even more dirty jobs for Artsua. I began to wonder if what he was doing was legal or not. Enslaving Bearded Dragons and infecting them with Red-Scale, sending four or so people to their deaths (and at my own hands), and all to take down a 'criminal organisation'.

Was the Club so wrong that it had to be taken down? We had brought a sense of order and organisation to the South-East district. If anything, we did the Police's job for them! Taking down slave-trades in the district, clearing the streets of thieves, drug-dealers and addicts, all at our own expenses! We were hardly breaking the law via 'prostitution' either! This was what we wanted to do for part of our lives. To enforce the law, no matter how 'flawed' it may be, to find some kind of pleasure in life, no matter how twisted, and keep the streets clear of the disorganised scum that gave New Vega a bad name. Was that so wrong that people would kill us over it?

The question was quickly torn out of my mind as we entered another room, stopping in the dead centre of it. It was almost exactly the same style of room that my cell was based on, only on a larger scale and in the form of one large circle. The room had to be at least four times the size of my cell, and was made up of the same large white tiles, only this time there were streaks of red in the gaps between each tile. I was positioned in the rough centre of the room, enabling me to look around and make note of everything that inhabited it.

The room was pretty bare, with only the most relevant furnishings present. I made note of the ECG to my left, equipped with around five or so small electrodes that would soon be strapped onto my chest. There were also a few other pieces of medical equipment; scalpels, a bone saw. I tried to push the images out of my head and focused on what was to my right. That wasn't all too pleasant either. I noticed a glass cabinet lying dormant and unnoticed on the far side of the room, containing some kind of armour similar to a biosuit. The metal locks and clips told me that anyone who wore it would have a tough time taking it off again. There was something else though...something that made my mind begin to race from fear.

The inside of the suit wasn't exactly protective. Usually a Biosuit would have a lining of silk or fabric to reduce friction. Instead, the interior was made up of many spikes and needles; six for each limb, six for the front and back of the torso. I was only able to compare it to an iron maiden. It was as if it was designed to bond the user to the suit permanently. It didn't look like it could be removed whatsoever...not without killing or permanently scarring the person inside, of course. A sudden wave of realisation had hit me at that point. I would most likely be the one put into that...that thing!

"Okay, let's begin." I heard Artsua announce enthusiastically, clasping both hands together as three or so figures stepped into the room. I managed to make out the sound of wheels, possibly some more medical equipment being pushed into the room. "Doctor Mason, fix the ECG on him."

"Of course." I heard a feminine voice reply. I looked over to my left, where the ECG was, only to find a familiar face looking back at mine. It was a White-Wolf, the same one I had met before I was captured. She was dressed in a long lab-coat, blending in with the colour of her fur and stretching down to her knees and just barely showing her grey trousers and shirt. "Surprised to see me?"

I didn't even bother replying as the Wolf fixed all of the electrodes onto my chest. I was both amazed and shocked to see her working for Artsua. I blinked once and simply kept on staring at her as she carefully fixed the third electrode onto my body. She looked much more...stunning, up close. Her hair was reasonably short and was parted to the sides, revealing her amber eyes that would most likely hypnotise someone if they looked for too long. Every part of her fur - even her chest - was well groomed, making her seem very plain, but beautiful at the same time.

"Doctor Mason is quite a good actor, you know." Artsua smiled, leaning on the wall to my right and resting one arm on the glass cabinet holding the suit of armour. "She led you and your friends on for quite a long time...particularly you. All she had to do was keep you occupied long enough to set up a trap around you."

"Don't try to struggle." The Wolf whispered to me, placing one paw on my head as a sign of comfort, though it hardly sated my anger at her and Artsua. I twisted my head away from her and looked up at the large lamp hanging overhead, shining down on my body. "The less you resist, the sooner this will all be over."

I ignored what little comfort she was trying to provide and tried to flex my claws around, scratching at the leather straps holding me in place. As I kept on scratching, I felt something come to rest just behind me. I had the feeling it was the same piece of machinery that had just been wheeled into the room. However, I had no time to contemplate what the machine would do to me as I felt Doctor Mason's soft paws feel over the top of my head again, attaching a couple more electrodes onto my forehead as I heard a faint buzzing noise begin to pierce my ears.

"You're lucky we're deciding to wipe your mind first." Artsua smiled evilly at me, patting the top of the glass cabinet with one paw. "We_could_ simply graft this armour onto your body right now. It doesn't really matter what state your mind is in, so long as we leave the thing we need most. Obedience."

I had already guessed what the machine behind me was going to do. It was going to wipe out everything that was useless to Artsua. Emotions, defiance, my memories, everything except for the part of my mind that obeys whatever someone commands me to do. This was what V had been through before me. He had his mind wiped, turning him into an obedient husk, like what I would become unless I managed to think on my claws and find a way out!

The constant scratching at my restraints did nothing for me, no matter how sharp and strong my claws had become. The straps were built to last, leaving me almost completely immobile. My mind and heart both began to race again, making the ECG to my left beep rapidly, and causing the machine behind me to buzz even louder to the point that the noise became very uncomfortable for my ears. My breathing became rapid as I took sharp breaths, completely out of ideas for an escape. Artsua had gave me no opportunities whatsoever over the past few days. He was the worst kind of genius I had ever met; the kind that don't give people opportunities.

"Doctor, start the machine." Artsua snapped at Doctor Mason. The Wolf obeyed and circled behind me, fiddling with the machine behind me until the buzzing in my ears had finally stopped. My mind had eventually calmed down as I soon realised...I still had one more trick up my sleeve...

My mind was probably the only shot I had left. If I were to put up enough mental resistance, I just might be able to...to do something. Break the machine, shut down my brain completely, anything that would mess up Artsua's plans for me, even if it meant killing myself. I wasn't prepared to let some bastard Dog do whatever he wants with my body. I tried to focus my mind on one particular thought, theorising that in some way it might provide some kind of resistance against the machine.

After a few seconds of deafening silence, I finally felt the machine get to work. I kept my mouth clamped shut, not even managing to whine as my mind felt as if it was being set on fire. It felt like ten headaches were drilling into my mind at once whilst dozens of needles were doing the same. My body began to shake and shudder from the immense pain wracking through my head. There wasn't even any sign that the pain would stop or decrease as time went on for what seemed like forever.

My eyes began to tear up as the pain only increased, pressuring me into submitting and letting my mind go. However, I had no intention of giving up so easily. I made an attempt at ignoring the pain in my mind and focusing on what was around me. The ECG to my left was now beeping at a much more rapid rate than before, as if I was having a major heart attack, though that didn't bother me in the slightest compared to what the machine was doing to my mind. I eventually parted my mouth slightly and let out rapid, shallow breaths, occasionally letting out a sob as my eyes were now in floods.

"The subject's body is beginning to...it's rejecting itself..." I heard Doctor Mason say frantically, almost with worry as to what would happen to me if I carried on like this. I merely carried on resisting, making a low growling noise as I gritted my teeth and carried on looking around the room.

My eyes made note of everything around the room with quick succession. The glass cabinet of armour to my right, the ECG to my left, the tray of medical equipment, a bone saw, one-two-three-four scalpels, all arranged in order of size, the red streaks between every white tile in the room. My mind had processed all of these images, starting to ignore the pain surging through it as my eyes finally rested on Artsua, looking at my with wide, almost scared eyes. I stared back at him with all of my fury, until my eyes had finally rested on something he was holding...something spherical...

My mind suddenly flared up again, focusing on the blood-red orb that Artsua was handling in one paw, no larger than a light-bulb. It was the same egg that Artsua had taken out of me! The same egg Elle had laid inside me, and that fucking Mutt was holding it if only for the sake of holding it! My mind was now only focusing on that red orb...my unborn daughter, in the paws of the Mutt I was going to kill. I stopped growling for a split second and opened my mouth as far as I could, letting out one long roar in anger, not from pain. How dare he touch her, my mind shouted!

I carried on shouting at the top of my breath, even as the ECG to my left let off numerous sparks, indicating that it was now broken. The machine behind me had also given up trying to get into my mind as the pain had quickly left my skull. My roaring had finally died out once all the oxygen had left my body. The room was now filled with silence again as I turned my head up to face the light above me.

"...the subject's mind is...completely wiped." I managed to hear Doctor Mason announce in confusion. I kept on staring up at the light, feeling my pulse begin to settle down as the pain in my mind had completely dissipated. "Should I remove the restraints?"

"Do it." Artsua said hurriedly. I didn't bother looking anywhere but at the light above me. I couldn't even move my body. Even after all the straps were removed, my body refused to move itself. I could hear footsteps coming closer from my right, my body not reacting in the slightest as a large Canine leaned over me.

What I was experiencing was semi-mental-detachment. I was made up of three separate components. My body, my mind, and my self. In a way, my self was simply a 'spiritual' thing, like the soul. My self would give a certain command, like 'get up' or 'sit down', and my mind would simply process this command, like a relay. My body would then act under said command and do as I wanted it to do. Only this time, my mind had been wiped clean. There was no relay, and my body was without command. It would do what it would whenever the mind was absent. It would obey whoever gave it a command. Now came the hardest part; I would have to regain control.

"Get up." Artsua commanded. My body obeyed and spun its legs around so they were just dangling off of the lab-table. It got up slowly, standing up straight and in front of Artsua as he studied my body. "Jump for me."

"Don't jump for him." I said mentally and sternly. My body ignored me and jumped once more for Artsua as he commanded. "I said do not jump for him."

"Stand on one leg." Artsua commanded, entertained by my obedient body. It obeyed.

"Do not stand on one leg!" I shouted mentally, trying to take control of my body again. It ignored me and stood on one leg for as long as it could. "You will do as I command you!"

"...Take this egg from my paw." Artsua commanded, holding out the red orb he was holding in his right paw.

"That is not yours!" I snapped at both my body and Artsua. My body simply obeyed and grabbed the egg delicately, inspecting it slowly...semi-consciously. As soon as my body touched my unborn daughter, I finally snapped. "That is not yours! That is mine! That belongs to me and Elle! You will take that egg, and you will do as I tell you, because I am in control. You are not in control. You are merely a vessel! And that Dog must die!"

At first, I didn't expect my body to respond. I expected my body to give the egg back to Artsua. But it didn't. My body worked on my accord this time, and brought the egg up to its mouth. I gave my body the next command; swallow it. My body obeyed silently and opened its mouth, quickly but carefully placing the egg on its tongue and attempting to gulp it down in one go. I let out a metal sigh of release as the egg was now safely inside my body, as it should be. This time, it would come out when it is ready. Artsua looked at me with a shocked expression.

"You...you..." I slurred, beginning to regain control of my body again as I raised one claw to touch Artsua's face. "You...have to die."
