Shadow's everyday life
(Sunday)
A black fox stood on top of a hill. His brown eyes glistening in the sun. He wore a plain black shirt with a black ordinary jacket. His jeans were rather dark but confortable. He had simploe black and grey shoes. He didn't look like a person that could do much. He was thin for a fox and had little muscle.
"Why am I so weak? If someone were to attack my friends I wouldn't be able to do much. All I do would be in the way." He said to himself. tears forming in his eyes
He is a sophmore in San Diego Highschool. He played tennis fairly well, he participated in powerlifting, he was in the schools marching band and played in the mariachi. Little did he know that he had a power unlike others in the world had. Even though he was smart and participated in many other things in the school he was shy around others but confident around his friends and girlfriend.
*Following day* (Monday)
"It's time to wake up for school." His mother Lily said casually as we did our normal routine.
"Alright." I said as I got my clothes that I wore every day even in the summer.
"Yo Wolf time to wake up." I said tipping my younger brother a brown wolf that loved the color green off the bed.
"Owww. Why do you do that all the time Shadow?" He asked rubbing his back.
"It keeps me entertained." I replied calmly.
"Damn you Shadow." He said while his ears tilted back in anger.
"Like I haven't heard that before. Mom I'm going to walk to school."
"Ok be careful."
I don't usually walk to school but I needed time alone to think to myself.
I started to jog the way. Even though I lived quite a distance from the school.
*At school*
I searched the cafitorium for the table that me and my few friends are always located. As soon as located my friends I jogged toward them.
"Hey guys were is Heather?"
"Dunno." My friend Matt a male black dragon with some wieght on him replied. (Wore a metallica tee-shirt and jeans.)
"Why do you ask you always know the answer?" Kevin a male red fox asked. (Wore a black shirt with a denim jacket and pants.)
"Hey Kev you know lover boy over there (Pointing towards Shadow) always wants to know where his chick is if she isn't here before him." Phantom a male gray wolf with alot more muscle than Shadow had said. (Wore a tee-shirt that said 'Stud muffin" and jean shorts)
I've had a crush on Phantom during this summer. I spent alot of time at his house. I would have him stay at my house or I would stay the night at his house. I always enjoyed excersizing with him or playing black ops on his ps3 with him. I want to tell him that I like him but I'm always wondering if he would hate me for liking him, how Kevin, Matt, or my girlfriend Heather would react, would Heather still love me if she knew that I liked a man?
"Shut up guys. Why can't you be simple and say that 'I don't know where she is at the moment.' " I said as we all joked around.
"Hey look there she is now." Matt said
A light brown fox with long hair that is always tied up in a pony tail. (Wore a grey jacket with blue tee-shirt and jeans.)
I went up to her gave her a quick kiss and asked her "Good morning beautiful."
She took my hand as we started walking towards our table. "Good morning." She replied happily. She was always happy.
"I'll go get our breakfast." I stared to walk towards the lunch line.
She didn't mind what I got her to eat.
I choose:Two bananas, three doughnuts, a small breakfast pizza, and a apple and orange juice pack.
"Shadow you're always spoiling me." She said giggling as the entire higschool looked at me as I was crazy. Even though they know that I eat alot and share with Heather.
"I try."
After a few moments we finished eating and started heading out to our classes once the bell rang.
This school has never had trouble from people that wanted to hurt students but all of that changed during lunch. We all heard the loud crash of glass. When we all turned our heads we saw our dead security officer on the floor with 20 men.
"Get the guys and kill them gather the women so we can have some fun."
"No way this can't be happening." Kevin said shocked.
"Phantom what should we do?" Matt asked.
"I.....I don't know." Phantom said. Fear was showing in his eyes.
Something just snapped for me then.
"IF ANY OF YOU BASTARDS HURT ANY OF MY FRIENDS OR MY GIRLFRIEND OR EVEN SCHOOLMATE I'M GOING TO KILL ALL OF YOU!!!" I found myself feeling utter hatred toward these scum.
"So this pretty thing is your girlfriend. I'm going to have alot of fun with her." A man said that held Heather and had 15 spare men.
"Shadow help!" She scream fear showing in her eyes.
Instincts kicked in. (I'm sorry idk how to write a fighting scene so this is what i got."
My abilities were enhanced by the adrenaline running through my vains. 'I got to take out as many of them as I can so they can call for help' I thought to myself.
What happened next was extrodinary. At blinding speeds he grabbed the guy that was holding Heather by the throaght(Sorry if i misspelled that.) and slammed him down to the ground killing him instantly.
*Phantom's POV*
Shadow was a different person than before. He was crazy fast and strong. He somehow knew when someone was behind him and he easily knocked them aside. His eyes changed to those more like a feral fox's. H
"So your the last one huh?" Shadow said.
"Shadow please stop." Heather pleaded out.
Shadow recognized what he was doing and put him down.
It was a bad mistake becuase he turned around and shot Shadow with a 12 guage shot gun.
He dropped to the floor bleeding out.
"SHADOW!!!!" Heather, Matt, Kevin, and I yelled.
It was my turn.
Me and Kevin exchnged quick glances.
We grabbed two of the guns and shot the last man.
"Quick call an ambulence!" I yelled wanting to know that Shadow was going to be alright,
*Seveal hours later* We've waited for several hours in the waiting room while Heather cried. I could feel tears form in my eyes even though I tried to hold them back.
"Why are you crying I'm going to be fine. I didn't expect to see you crying Phantom." Shadow said with a small smile
"Well if your best friend is on the brink of death you would cry too." I replied whiping the tears from my eyes and fur.
"True..AAAAAAAGH.........Heather I can't hug you just yet my back needs to heal more."
"I'm sorry." She looked happy that he was out.
"You can hug me if you want." Matt said.
In the past Shadow and Matt fought over Heather but she ultimatly chose Shadow.
Shadow flipped him off.
"Ok I get it." Matt said.
"I'll be able to leave in a couple of days till then don't worry about me."
We left mostly becuase it was time for visitors to leave.
On the way home it was just me and Matt.
"I can't believe Shadow could do that. He wasn't the guy I met in 6th grade." Matt said.
"I know.........but he did save us so we have to be grateful for what he did." I replied.
I started to remember all the fun times we had years ago and all the injuries he got. We would always laugh afterwords.
"Well see you tomarrow at school." Matt said taking a left to his house.
"Right see you later."
I smiled when I stepped into my house where I lived with my aunt, cousins, and younger brothers.
We always had a fun time when it was just me and Shadow.
*In the hospital*
"Shadow you shouldn't be up!" a female panther said shocked.
I looked back at her after thinking about both Heather and Phantom.
"I noticed." I said before darkness engulfed me and I hit the floor with a loud thud all I could hear is the nurse yell "Doctor his wounds opened up even more!"
*Back to Phantom*
I decided to tell his worring family that he said he was going to be fine.
"Ummmm Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalez your son is going to be fine." I told them.
"So your telling me that the doctors are lying to us!" His mom yelled at me.
I was stunned to hear this.
"Calm down hunny he doesn't know that the doctors called us and told us that he might not make it." His step-father said keeping his calm.
"I'm sorry Phantom for yelling at you.....................you know Shadow has taken a liking to you and would do anything to protect you."
"He does?" I replied sounding confused.
"Yes" She replied
I then heard my phone ring.
"Hello?"
"Phantom it's time to come back home."
"Ok I'll be there in a little."
I left the house thinking of what Shadow's mom said. 'you know Shadow has taken a liking to you and would do anything to protect you"
" 'Protect me' Why would he try to protect me and from what exactly."
The rest of the week I had to lie that Shadow was getting better. Until I lost my cool.
It was lunch on a Friday.
"I could've taken them all on and beat them unlike Shadow." Jason a large lion that thinks he is the boss.
"Yeah" his underlings agreed.
"Shadow only beat them becuase he got them from behind." Jason said.
"And your the coward that picks on the younger kids that can't fight back." I said to him
"Loser what did you say?"
"You heard me."
"Said his boyfriend. You and him are both quers. And you both are weak. Why don't you go to the hospitle and make out with the Mi.Bas."
"Don't you ever say that again."
"Mi.Bas?"
I tackled him sending both of us over the edge of the 6 story building.
"Do I have to save your ass every time I come back?"
I saw Shadow running toward where me and Jason plumitting.
In a split second before we hit the ground we were standing on the ground safely.
There was a loud coughing noise. It was Shadow and he was coughing up blood.
"Shadow!"
"LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO MY CLOTHES YOU RETARD."
He started kicking Shadow with his steel toed boots.
"THESE CLOTHES ARE WORTH MORE THAN YOUR LIFE!!!"
I jumped on top of him and started beating Jason till both his face and my hands were bleeding. Even then I continues to hit him.
"Phantom stop."
I would've continued but the sound of his voice made me stop.
"Phantom I need to talk to you tonite." It was Shadow.
"About?"
"You'll know when I tell you."
*The night. Now to Shadow.*
We met up in a area that we used to play 'Adventure' when we were younger.
"Phantom..........I..........I....."
I couldn't say it for some reason.
"Yes?"
"Phantom I love you."
"You love me?"
"Yes. And it hurts to know that we would never be."
"Uhhh"
He was speachless.
I started to walk away
What will happen in the next chapter? What will Phantom do now that Shadow told him that he loved him?
