Sunday morning derek was up early for church. As he walked out of his roomed dressed in his church clothes his mother diane and his father tomas walked over to him. Dereks Dad was a black wolf about 6 feet tall, wasnt very built and very skinny, he was always away on buisness. His Mom was a black wolf to but had white paws,and blue eyes like dereks, she was always at the hostpital,she is a nurse. Derek didnt see his parents parents much because of their jobs but he always saw them on sunday for church. His parents were huge christains. Derek didnt really like church, but if he told his parents that, they would have his head so he kept to him self.
"Good morning derek." his Mom said smileing while his Dad went out side to start the car. "morning mom" he hugged his mother and walked to the car, his Dad was waiting. Once they got to there local church like always the first thing they did was say hi to their preacher father charles. He was a bear, about 6'5 not built at all and very fat. Tomas and father charles started talking while diane went to find them seats. Derek followed his mom. After a couple minutes the crowd of people got quite signaling Derek it was time to Derek to go to sleep,derek always tried to sleep but his dad would always wake him up and yell at him. So today Derek decided to text kyle. 'kyle what you up to?'
'I'm about to go to the mall. You?'
'nothing I'm at church :P'
'Lol shouldn't you be listening?'
'I should but I'm not'
'well look I G2G see you tomorrow'
'kk see u at school' as Derek hit send a black paw grabbed his phone and snatches it out of his hand. Derek looked up to see his dad giving him a disappointed look. Great now I'm going to get that look all day. Once Derek got home he went in his room and decided to read a new book he got for the rest off the day.
"BEEP,BEEP,BEEP".Derek jumped out of bed like every morning. Great he thought. It was Monday, his first day back to school sense the fight. Derek Got out of bed and and walked to his dresser to turn off his alarm clock. Derek put on a black pair of tripps, a black polo, and his striped green and black hoodie. I still remember the day I got that hoodie. Me and Kyle went down to hot topic, Kyle fell in love with the pink and black hoodie and picked out the green and black hoodie for derek.
Derek walked out of his room and into the kitchen to find a box of donuts. Derek grabbed two donuts, putting one in a bag and eating the other. Derek put the bag with the donut in his backpack and walked out the door.
As soon as derek entered his homeroom he saw Kyle who like always was surrounded by a group of girls, but this time they were all just asking if he was okay. Derek sat down at a desk like normal. Everything was back to normal except when Kyle broke away from his group to say hi to Derek his group followed him. Derek know none of the girls except for two, jasmine, she was a grey tabby that always dressed in a pair of khakis and a polo. Then there was Nina, she was a white bunny. She was a cheerleader and was always in her outfit.
"Derek?". Said inturupting his train of thought. Derek just realized that Kyle and his group had surournded his desk. "oh? Sorry just day dreaming...umm hi girls". He just looked around what was going on. "Hi" they all said. "Well I got to go give this paper to my gym teacher excuseing me from gym be back." Kyle said leaveing Derek with the group of girls. "So Derek we all just wanted to thank you for protecting Kyle. Your a good freind."
"umm okay. Is that all?"
"well actaully we were wondering if you could help us help Kyle?"
"Sure what can I do to help?" Derek asked looking at all the girl serious faces. "we wanted to start a GSA, or a gay straight alliance. It's to end homophobia at school, and really just to make the school safer for everyone." jasmine said.
"sure but what can I do?" he asked her."Well we need some striaght guys in it and sense you were a jock we just thought it would help get get more guys involved." It was true. Derek play soccer in elementry school, ran track in middle school and was in a swim team over the summer. Derek loved sports but could never stick with one. "So all I have to do is join? I don't need to go beat some kid up for once?" she nodded. "Cool I'm in."
"Great now we just need Kyle to talk to some of the other gay guys around the school and get them to join and I think we are set." Derek couldn't help but smile this was going to be the easiest Thing he could do for Kyle.derek sat back in his seat and the bell rung time for language arts
Finally the bell rung Time for lunch. Derek walked into the cafeateria to get a drink from the bending machine. After that Derek walked out side to find kyle like normal. But when he got out there he found Kyle and his group waiting for him. He just looked at Kyle. "we have a problem."
Derek didn't see fear in kyle's eyes or anger, Nothing but worry. "Whats wrong Kyle what happened?" Kyle just looked at him and asked " can talk behind the equipment shed or some where more private?". Derek nodded and followed the group behind the shed.
As soon as they got there Derek asked "what's the hell is going on?" Kyle just sighed "looked I talked to some of the other gay students and well most of the gay guys are afraid to join because that means comeing out. They are afraid because of what happened to me and can you blaim them? I told them that you were on the straight side of GSA but they were still to afraid. They need someone like a jock to you know relie on and look up to." he said. "Ok so who going to be that jock?" Derek asked already knowing the answer. Kyle stared at the ground and said "Well Derek you are the only jock or retired jock in this school that is nice to gay people. So I was wondering......derek can you be gay?"
Derek just stood there unable to move or speak. He just stood there like a pillar in a hallway. Then he finally found the word to say "how?" with that Kyle looked up and his eye lit up with hope. "Ok I will teach you how to be gay,and you have to do is follow my all instrutions. And I promise by the end off the to day you will be gay but first things first you need to come out." derek just looked at his freind. What did he just get himself into? "Ok....but how do I do that?" Kyle just got a grin on his face.
"This is how give me your iPhone. Ok now all we have to do is go on facebook...oh your already signed in good. Next step is status 'everybody I am gay and if you don't like it then delete me from your freinds list!'. Now me and you are skipping class we have alot of work to do." Derek just grabbed his phone and looked at what Kyle just posted and exited out of facebook. Kyle grabbed his arm and pulled him with him away from the crown of girls and towards the parking lot where Derek saw jasmine's car waiting (jasmine was a senior).
Right before they got in the car Kyle turned around and hugged Derek "thank you!" he said sobbing with tears running down his face "I couldn't let them see me like this but I am really grateful. I really don't deserve a freind like you..." Derek just put his arms around Kyle and held him for a couple of second befor jasmine beeped her horn. "We don't have all day I do need to get back after I drop you off!" Kyle just wiped his eyes with his paws blushing and got in to the passenger seat. Derek got in the back and they began there journey to kyle's house.
Once jasmine pulled away from the house Kyle and Derek went inside. "I talked to my parents and they said you can hangout after school while there not home so we have rest of the day to teach you how to be gay." Kyle said flopping on his living room couch. "So what's my first lesson?" kyle jumped up out of the couch and ran to his room. He came back with a needle and one of his earrings. The earring was a small black loop and with the wolfs fur it would blend in well. "First is a peirceing haha your going to regret asking." Kyle said giveing him a wild grin.
After the Peirceing, Derek had to learn how to walk like a girl. Kyle couldn't stop laughing at Derek trying to look girly. Derek couldn't beleive how much fun he was haveing. Next derek and kyle got jasmine to take him to the mall to learn how to look gay witch was basiclly what he wore just with pink replaceing the green, but sense derek doesnt like pink they decided to use blue instead. After paying for dereks new clothes kyle took derek to this place to get some blue highlights at the tips of his ears.
Once they got home Derek looked at him self in the mirror, he was wearing his black tripps,a shirt that th bottom left corner had black and blue checkered squares that faded into the the black, and a black and blue plad shirt that went over his first shirt. The plad shirt was un buttoned to show off his black shirt. Derek had to admit he liked his new look. Just as he finished looking at himself in the mirror the door opened to reveal kyle's mom "hello boys Kyle Brought home some pizza for you and der......what did my son do to you!?" she said staring at him then he realized that she was starring at his ears then the earring then at the shirts then the ears again. He just smiled "I'm gay now". She just put her paw on her head and began to walk to her room " the pizzas in the car save some for dad i need some rest." as soon as the door to her room closed both of them cracked up laughing. What just happened? Derek thought.
After dinner at kyle's house derek began to walk home. After a five minute walk Derek finally was approaching his house. When he was walking up his driveway he noticed his mom and dad were home. I guess mom go off early for once he thought. Derek walked into his house and saw his mom and dad sitting at the table eating. Derek walked towards his room but he was stopped "Derek come here please!" his dad called. Derek walked in to the dining room "yeah dad?" Derek asked
"Me and your mother were wandering where y......" at that moment Tomas looked up and saw what Derek was wearing "Derek what are you wearing! you look like a fag!" that word. The one word that could send Derek over the edge. "My son is not a fag! You hear me I did not raise my son to be a fag!" there it was again. Derek just clenched his fist and didn't respond. "Tomas settle down. I'm sure there is a reasonable explination behind all this." that gave Derek hope maybe if I explained why i'm pretending to be gay they'll underst- "There is no good reason to be a fag. Fags are unholy people who will be damned to hell!" That sent Derek over the edge. "maybe I am gay but Kyle is gay to and you never had a problem with him! So why don't you just shut up!" Tomas stood up and looked Diane in the eyes she nodded, then he looked back to Derek. "Kyle is gay! And you brought that unholy fag into our house!" Derek just stood there unable to respond Derek moved forward and grabbed his dad and pushed into the wall and held him there by the collar of his shirt "don't you ever call him that!" Derek yelled as he began to lift his dad off the ground. He let go and Tomas fell to the grownd gasping for air. Derek turned around and walked out of his old house.
Kyle:
Kyle and his parents were all in the living room watching tv when the doorbell rang. "I got it." Kyle jumped up and ran to the door and saw Derek standing there looking down with ears down. "Derek what are you doing here." Derek fell forward and put his arms around kyle and hugged him at that moment he realized Derek was crying. Kyle's mom walked over to see who it was and when she saw Derek she ran down and motioned him up the stairs.
Derek sat down on the couch while my mom was trying to calm him down. What happened to him? I sat by his side and put my hand on his back. Finally after a couple of minutes Derek calmed sown and was able to speak my mom was the first to ask "what happened?" Derek just looked at me and said "when I got home my dad saw me and yelled at me calling me a fag and saying stuff like fag are going to hell then he said Kyle is a fag so I...I pushed him into a wall and told him never to call you that again and walked out." I satdown next to Derek and pulled him into a hug. Once we pulled apart my mom finally spoke "I'm so sorry. You can live here derek if you would like?" Derek just nodded. "Okay tomorrow you will stay home and we will go to your house to get your stuff. Once you are moved in and ready you will go back to school." derek jumped up and hugged my mom "thank you"
"Now Derek you will have to bunk with for the night until we have the guest bedroom set up. Is that okay with you kyle?" I couldn't beleive it my best freind was going to live with me."Yah it's fine." I said. Now mom stood up " okay derek you look like you've been through hell so go to bed both of you." she said motioning us to go to bed. I gave Derek a pair of basket ball shorts to sleep in. He went in the bathroom yo change so I got undressed and got into bed. Would he mind if I sleep nude maybe I should- my thoughts were interupted by my door opening. It was derek he saw me in my bed and the small air matress on the floor. Think fast "umm hey could you hit the lights sense your there?" Derek turned off the lights and layed down. Good now he can't see me I thought.
The next morning I woke up in a cold sweat. What was his dream? He looked down at the air matress next to his bed. Where was derek? Kyle looked at the clock it was only 6:30 he didn't have to be up till 7:00 for school. Kyle got out of bed ,walked over to the his bedroom door and opened it. He walked out to the kitchen and saw Derek faceing the sink and drinking a glass of water. "morning Derek , your up early." derek put the glass in the sink "yeah I didn't sleep well last night." Kyle tried to remember his dream again "I'm sorry to hear that." derek turned around and smiled.
Derek's smile quickly faded as he just stared at Kyle. Kyle hated when people starred at him, but derek starring at him made Kyle blush. Then he realized he was still nude! And to make matters worse Kyle couldn't beleave he had a case of the morning wood! Derek came back to earth, he covered his eyes and turned away "I'm sorry! I-" Kyle ran to his room he didn't have time to listen rite now he need to get dressed. Kyle ran to his dresser and started to rummage through his drawers, finally he pulled out his black sweats. Once kyle was dressed he walked towards the door and stopped a wave of shock hit Kyle, Derek was starring at his boner!
