Chapter One

Please be known, this is a remade from a story I made long ago and took off, I didn't think it was good and my writing has indeed progressed over the years thanks to all of you asking for more and more chapters. So before I start the story let me tell you a few things. One, there well be little to no sex in this story, I plan on making this more of a novel, there will be sex in the story do not worry, but not a lot like I do in many of my other stories. Two, you may hear names from games, and my story, for one Terrador, from the Spyro games; this does not mean that it is THE Terrador. And three, I plan on making this in a first person (dragon) sate of writing; I use to write like this a lot, and then stopped for reason I can not remember. Sometimes the chapters will go to another point of view, but that may be on a rare occasion. So without further ado I give you chapter one of my old but remade story Blue Princess!

PS: I will make sub chapters, one which will be of the future and any request people ask for any characters in this story.

I made my way slowly though the forest of which I lived in with my clan. The sunlight just breaking though the open leaves of the trees above me, as my claws lifted some of the dirt off the ground as my heavy bulk treaded though what was left of the spring and moving into the summer. The damp smell of last night rainfall still clung to the trees and grass as my nose expanded every time I took in the breath of air around me. Shifting my wings because they have long ago fell asleep and I didn't wish to move them then, the light blue membrane made the ground under it a light blue, as if someone tried to paint it. The rest of my body was a much darker blue, almost the morning sky blue. My chest and underbelly a white, even though when you looked close to it, you could see that in fact it was just blue, a very light, light blue. My tail swaying left and right, moving the fallen leaves around, as my tail blade somehow didn't stab any, confused me yes, but I was glad I didn't have to spend hours at a time tearing stuff off like my dragon brothers and sister of the clan. My main curled horns wet backwards, the tip close to my cheek, white spikes looking like blots of lighting went down my head, to my neck, back and was gone as it reached closer and closer to my tail, my talons' much like my spikes were white, my eyes, blue with a hint of yellow. Today was a fine day to be a dragon, having been only a hundred years since the Great War ended where we the dragons fought the humans for who really knew how long. It started with just tiny kills, they find us, fight us and they would die, or rarely, they kill us. At long last, they grew smarter and attacked one with many of their own. If we were to live, we had to fight back. I was not born by this time, so I didn't know what it was like. But my father who was, told me what it was; flying into battle, breathing fire and slashing, many dying, many of us being turned to slaves to keep our hatchling safe from harm. What made us stop however, was when the prince of the dragons, and the princess of the humans, demanded that we stop and plead our case of what we wanted.

Humans when they came to this land, claimed the land as their own, and we wished to have it back, the king, thought that he would give us some land, but also ask that the humans already there, would be allowed to stay if they so wished; our king agreed to this, already knowing what it was like to lose a home. In exchange, we were to come into the city and buy or sell if we so wished, since we had many gold and other such shinnies that would better help the humans, if we so wished. The human king agreed as well, and asked that some dragons become like guards, if any bandits or other such evil minded fiend came, some dragons that were chosen were to drive them off. We made no promises, but we still help from time to time; we didn't want them to think we help them all the time. Paper meant nothing to us dragons, so we made a crystal using our magic, which held the words of promises made from both sides, a stone that could never be broken, and never leave its resting place, in the middle of the city between the human and dragon land. The dragon who help stop the war was a blue dragon, legends pasted down said that a blue dragon were to hold a job, a duty that they were to full filled. They didn't know how or why, but they knew what their duty was. I am a blue dragon as well, in fact the only one since the day that war ended. That dragon flew away, never to be seen again. Some say since his duty was done, he went to join our brothers and sister in ever lasting peace, some say he went to find a mate; many said he died.

Somehow, with all my thinking of the past, I found myself on a beach, smiling, I remembered this is where my mother would take me as a child to play with me. But the smile vanished soon after it came. Shaking my head to clear my thoughts, I heard a small cry, looking around to make sure I was not hearing things I was going to turn back to leave; when I heard it again. Looking far out east, I saw what seemed to be a basket, floating in the water; the crying was coming from there? Making my way into the water, I swam up to the basket to see it covered in a wet blanket, the crying was louder. I didn't wish for whatever was crying in there to be any wetter then it might have already been, so picking it with my teeth, I flew off into the air and landed with a soft thud on the sand, slowly putting it on the ground. Shaking my body of the water, I took my left claw, lifting the blanket up; and peered inside. Looking back at me, with the same blue hued eyes, short blond straight hair, round face; was a baby human!

Just from looking at the human already, that and seeing a small bow in its hair, I knew it was a female human. Looking up at me with its own blue eyes, I blinked, and she blinked back, no doubt ever seeing a dragon before. I myself have seen humans before, but never a human this young, it looked fragile. Then she did something I wouldn't think she would do, she reached her hands up and held onto my nose lightly, smiling and making happy sounds. The way she laughed and smiled, made me want to smile as well. When she pulled her hands away, using my dragon eyes, I scanned the water for maybe a boat, or a stuck up boat, nothing, and I couldn't find a scent, but that was because of the resent rainfall.

"Up!" blinking I looked down back at the child as she held her hands up to me. "Up!" she cried again with a huge grin. Looking around, I knew I couldn't just leave the child here, and I couldn't pick her up with one claw without hopping or flying awkwardly back home. Rubbing the back of my head I looked over and took her blanket off of her, blowing steam on it to dry it, once it was dry and cooled from the air I sat it between my spikes on my back and lifted the human by her shirt onto my back and sat her gently on the spot I chose. She clung to my spike, luckily they were dull where she was holding them as she giggled and kicked her legs on my upper sides. It didn't hurt; I was more worried of her hurting herself because of my hard scales. She was giggling even more patting my sides and chatting "go, go, go," over and over again. Shaking my head slightly, I smiled and turned around to walk back toward my clan area. Running though my mind I was asking myself, where did she come from, and what was her name?

"Elder Terrador?" I poked my head inside my Elder cave, the valley we lived in held many caves, even with all the dragons we had, not even close to half was filled, so we allowed the children to have a cave to train being on their own. "Elder, I need to speak to you!"

"I told you young one," a voice came as a dragon came before me. "You don't have to call me Elder." The dragon was larger then myself, having being much older and fought in the Great War, muscles rippled though his form as he stepped and stopped before me. His head more triangles like then mine was horns pushing outward like a human bull horn were, deep lush green eyes matching his scales; holes in his wings, and a club like tail tip instead of the blade part which many of us held. The human girl was hidden behind my neck, and was surprising quite; maybe she saw how intimidating he looked and didn't wish to anger him.

"Sorry El- err... Terrador," I bowed my head lightly. "I didn't wish to make you upset with my words." He shook his head and held my head up with his paw.

"You are much like your mother you know that?" he told me, I looked away when he spoke of that, seeing his error he let my chin go as he sighed. "What is it you wish to see me of young Greydor?"

"Well," I answered. "I was out walking along, when I found..."

"Draggie!" Terrador looked over my shoulder seeing the human as I watched as well. She was clapping her hands loudly as she giggled. "Green Draggie!" Terrador tilted his head to the side then turned to me, looking around he turned his back to me.

"Follow me Greydor," I didn't say anything else as I followed him inside.

"So," he asked looking at me. Both of us laid as a dog would, both paws crossed over the other as my head was on top of mine, watching as the young human walked around trying to catch the glowing bugs. "You found her?"

"That's what happened Terrador," I spoke. "I don't understand why though, or where she came from. She seems not to be harmed so maybe she was lost or forgotten?"

"I know that a few years after the war ended," he answered with eyes closed. "Some humans wished us to care for their child they did not wish to have, we refused at first, but when one really did just left one in front of one of our cave; that dragon took charge to care for the human."

"That was you wasn't it?" I asked as he smiled.

"Yes," he answered with a chuckle. "My daughter, well human daughter. Before my mate bore my blood daughter, we cared for the human as if she was our own, without wings of course." He chuckled lightly. "When she grew older we told her she was not a dragon, by then she came to accepted it, even though Saira was a bit more surprised." Saira was his blood daughter, a dragon with the help of humans made a potion that allowed dragons to take the human like form of the human, they stilled looked like dragons, but walking like them and small like them. Humans could be turned into this form as well, but it took a bit more for them. Saira was the first dragon to change into this form for reason we had no idea at the time, she still held her long life which we were grateful for. Last I heard, she was spending her time studying for a human school to become a teacher for any dragons that changed, so far she was helping three dragons that were changed.

"I would bet, how is your daughter anyway?"

"Good, still grieving her sister death, it's a shame we couldn't convince her to change so she may live longer." He sighed shaking his head. "I lost two of my ladies, Saira is all that's left..." the human made her way back to me and held her hands open, the bug was lightly buzzing in her hand as she blew making it flutter around me. "Are you planning on caring for this one Greydor?"

"Me?" I question. "No, I tend to find her family!"

"Find her family?" question Terrador as Greydor nodded.

"Terrador," Greydor started. "I know what it like losing a family," he looked down as he started to think of his past. "I don't want to care for this human, and then one day go, 'Oh I almost forgot, your family left you to be killed or found', no...that's not what I have in mind!" the child looked up at me, as if she understood what I was saying. "I am going to find her family Elder, and when I do I'm going to demand why they left her alone!"

"And there's your father side," he chuckled as I looked up. "Once you have your mind on something you will stop at nothing until you see it though!"

"Damn right I won't!" the older dragon laughed and patted my shoulder.

"Well listen," he looked to the human girl. "Leave her with me for tonight, I know how to care for a human and I'll make sure she is fine. Tomorrow I'll tell the rest of the clan about her and then I'll show you how to care for a human. Then after you know the basic of child care, I'll send word to Saira about helping you finding this child family. Even though she is studying to become a teacher, she holds many of the land records."

"That's an uncanny turn of events," I answered as Terrador shrugged.

"We are in a story."

"Huh?" Terrador blinked then a white flash was seen as I blinked a few times.

"What do you remember Greydor?" asked Terrador as I shook my head slowly.

"Something...about sending word to your daughter?"

"Yes good, now go on and rest." Giving the green dragon a slight nod I turned to leave, only to have something tug at my tail. Turning around to think it was Terrador about to tell me something else, I was shocked to find the human girl cling to my tail looking up at me with her blue human eyes.

"No go!" she cried shaking her head, Terrador tapped his chin as if thinking when I looked to him.

"You know," he mused. "For one so young, she can speak very well,"

"True, maybe she was taught at an early age?"

"Maybe," agreed Terrador. "Here's an idea, it seems the child does not wish for you to leave, so stay here for the night, there many space and I do not mind at the least." I gave it some thought, it was getting dark and my cave was an hour flight away, and I was pretty tried. Looking to the human though, her eyes told me that I had to stay with her, I couldn't explain it. It was like I wanted to be by her, wanted to make sure she was safe from any sort of harm ways. "By the way Greydor," the dragon told me turning to leave. "Her name is Lenna."

"How'd you know that?" I asked as he pointed with his wing to her ankle. A small gold bracelet with human runes on it, spelling out the name Lenna was seen, and before another word was spoken, he turned to the left, and went deeper into the cave.

As Terrador said, he gave word out to his daughter by sending out a dragon massager, he then called a meeting to all the dragons telling them of Lenna and to treat her with kindness for she was to stay with us for the while. I had many females surround me, cooing at the small human I had on my neck as she hid from them, causing the dragoness to laugh lightly. Many of the males were upset that I had many of the females, some of which were their mates. I even heard one say they should go out to look for a human of their own. Weeks past for me and Lenna, she was always clinging to me and wanting to do whatever I was doing, like bathing. I was...worried for the most part, that part knowing I would have to clean her while she was naked. So I would always take her to a lake which only I knew, to my knowledge I mean, and bath her.

A human body was something very different from me, like a female dragoness, her vent was showing, but she had two dotes on her chest that poked out. Founding out later that these were what they called as nipples. When a female human gave birth, their breast, which I guess grew when they age, would produce milk for their young. It reminded me when I drank from my mother, but I couldn't remember with she had a nipple or not. I got Lenna to speak in some sentences as the weeks grew into a mouth, I didn't understand why it was taking so long for the massager to come but It did not matter to me, the time I spent with the human, I grew to love. I remember when we were sleeping one night in a storm, she was cuddle to my chest whimpering and crying as I tried to comfort her. She held me tighter and looked up to me.

"Why daddy not scared?" those words hit me hard, but not with upset or anger or sadness, but a sort of happiness in a way, I couldn't understand it.

"There is nothing to be scared of little one." I told her. "The lighting and thunder will not harm you while I'm around."

"Daddy keeps me safe?" she asked as I nodded nuzzling her neck softly.

"Daddy keeps you safe," I reassured her. "Now hush and sleep little one, I will keep you safe alright?" she didn't seem ready to sleep, thinking back to my childhood, I remember a song my mother would hum to la me to sleep. Closing my eyes, I remembered the whole thing, and began to hum softly. Yawning, her grip relaxed and she cuddled closer, soon she was fast asleep, with me wrapped around her; falling asleep as well.

"Really you got news from Saira?" One mouth and four days later, Terrador stood before me as I cradled the sleeping child in my right arm.

"Yes," he answered. "It seemed she was on a trip so the massager stayed until she was found. She wrote to me in her letter that she found a wounded human and had nursed him back to health, that's why it took so long for her to write back."

"I see," I answered as Lenna yawned waking up.

"You can leave tomorrow; she will be able to help you no doubt find her family. As I said before, she is the keeper of the records." I only nodded. Looking down at the child, I knew my time was coming to an end, I did want her to go to her family, but did I really want to at the same time? Sighing I turned and brought her back to my cave, waiting for the next day to come.

To me it came to fast, already it was the next day, and already I was standing before the house of Saira. Two story human home inside a city where both humanoid dragons as they were called and humans lived in peace. Some dragons welcomed me, as many human slaked away from my looks. Knocking lightly on the door, I waited until an old dragoness friend head came into sight. Like her father her scales were green, but unlike her father she had brown eyes, and long brown hair which touched her forearm. She wore no foot padding, and her wings were gone. Tail held no club as she wore a tank top shirt and pants, looking like as the human said. A tomboy.

"Greydor!" she cried running up and hugging my snout. "How's my old lug of a dragon?"

"I'm fine Saira," I answered nuzzling her cheek. "And you?"

"Oh same old, well beside the human man I have living with me."

"A mate?" she laughed and shook her head.

"Hell no," she answered. "He was the human I saved, it seemed once you reach eighteen they think they are men, truth be told he acts like a child; listen." She turned and raised her voice. "Brandon!" she screamed. "Get your ass out of bed and help me out!" a soft thud was heard upstairs, as if someone fell out of bed. "Three, two, one..." counted down Saira with a smirk.

"That's not even freaking funny!" standing on top of the stairs was a human male no doubt. Already he looked taller then Saira as he pushed his spiked hair before his eyes and stretched. He was shirtless, his chest as flat as Lenna one as he walked down. I then saw a long slash going east to west on his chest. Skin tan and green eyes and a small bread growing he walked down and stopped looking at me. "Er...hi," he waved lightly as I bowed my head.

"Hello," I answered as he backed away.

"Uh...why did you need my help Saira?"

"Ah right," she snapped her claw fingers. "Remember those paperwork's from yesterday? Go get them and bring them here so I can see if Lenna here is one of these missing girls alright?" Brandon nodded and turned to leave, the sound of paper being moved was heard as I looked to Saira for answers. "He needed a place to live and I gave him one." I only nodded; she was good at knowing what I wanted.

"Found them!" he cried running back as Saira took them and looked over the papers quickly, throwing one behind her after a while, then another; and so on.

"Hrm..." she mused. "Nope, none of these. I think the best way for us to get answers is to go to the next city of Vloor."

"Vloor?" I asked as the human nodded.

"That's where I lived, from what I was told." I gave him a puzzle look when he said 'from what I was told'. "You see, many thieves live there, but they never pocket a dragon, trust me on that. Anyway, there one I think Saira is thinking of, I guess he knows everything that goes on in the land and maybe knows where this kid came from; speaking of which, where is she?" I looked back to see that she was playing with my tail, I moved my tail blade away so she couldn't hurt herself.

"And how do you know this information?" I asked as he laughed.

"Everyone knows this theft,"

"Think he'll help us?" I asked as he nodded; a smirk on his face.

"He still owes me from the time I bested him in poker."
