A furry world - Part 12 Wedding Bells
"Mom will you stop fussing with my hair you're going to make me miss my own wedding" I wined trying to get away from her.
"You can't go out there with your hair messy like this" she said taking a lock of hair and brushing it again.
"My hair was this messy when I was human what makes you think it will change now" I said fidgeting with the suit jacket I was wearing "and why do I need to wear a jacket it doesn't look right with breasts".
"Because Laika is already dressed as the bride and one of you needs to be dressed as the groom and anyway she is completely a woman and you're not" she said frustrated giving up on my hair.
"Well I think you look dashing" came Stripe's voice from the door and I spun around seeing hir and Sarah standing there both dressed in light blue tops with a trail over there lower backs "and speaking of dashing if you don't get going now your vixen will need to wait at the altar for you".
I look down at my watch and jump as I see the time "Damn" I rush out of the room being tailed by my mother and the two chakats. At the entrance to the chapel I screech to a stop as I see how packed the church is every chair was filled and people were even standing against the wall. I take a big breath and walk to the altar straightening my jacket. The preacher a grey wolf nods to the organist and the wedding march booms through the huge building and the big main doors swing open revealing Laika followed by Stripes and Sarah.
I had to stop myself gasping as I saw Laika for the first time in her dress the pale blue top looked like someone cut a piece of clear blue sky and draped is around her and her red hair shined like a blazing fire. I gulped and stood up straight and as she joined me I couldn't stop myself smiling.
"Dearly beloved we are here to unite Miss Lupus and Miss Laika in holy matrimony" said the preacher "Anyone who knows of a reason why these two should not be wed speak now or forever hold your peace".
At this came a shout "Because they are unholy perversions of nature all of you are!" There was a big uproar at this but the person who shouted was soon throw out and everything settled down fast.
The preacher nodded "No matter our form we are the children of God and God gave us the gift to find the person we are meant to be with weather its two humans or two Anthros as we have here today. Now I can read you long scriptures about what God will expect of you two and how marriage is sacred but I will just say this." He looks over at me "Lupus I know what a chakat is and how the view a relationship and I do not believe it to be wrong but never use it as an excuse to fool around and always think of your mate before you choose to be with another and most importantly make sure that your love for her never fades". I just nodded. "You may read your vows"
I turn to Laika "Laika my dearest vixen I swear to love you and care for you and be with you even if the world crumbles under our paws. You will always be the first in my heart and soul till the day death makes us say farewell"
Laika wipes away a tear "Lupus I accept you as you are and everything you are and I promise to there for you in good time and bad times no matter how bad things get. And when I leave this world I will wait for you and watch over you till you join me and we can continue our love"
We both turn back to the preacher "The bands?"
Cornè walks over to me and hands me a woven armband the colors red and orange and white have been interwoven into a beautiful crisscross pattern.
I put it on Laika's right arm "With this I take you as my life mate and I will love you with all my heart"
Laika puts one on my right arm "With this I take you as my life mate and I will love you with all my heart"
"Then with the power vested in my by God I pronounce you Life mates you may kiss" he said smiling at us both
I give a Laika a long slow kiss and just then my front legs give out and I fall forward luckily Laika catches me.
"Wow girl what a kiss" shouted a sniggering Stripes and the church erupts with laughter.
After the signing and everything people started to come over and congratulate us all wishing us well as the crowd started to thin a chakat with golden fur and long golden hair comes up to us and hugs us both.
"Such a beautiful wedding I'm glad I got here in time to see it" she said smiling at us.
"Thank you uhm sorry but I think I know you can I ask your name" I said a little confused.
"That's not important what's important is where are you going for you honeymoon?" she asked waving away my question.
"Well we found this nice place just outside the city we are going to stay there a few days" I started telling her but she just held out two pieces of paper.
"You should have a memorable honeymoon dear you only get one" she said as I took the papers and she walked off. I look down and in my hand it two tickets to Hawaii and reservation for two week as a resort there.
"Thank you I shouted at hir as shi disappeared into the crowed".
With almost everyone gone we started to walk to the door but a young man with brown hair stands up from a chair and holds out his hand as I greet him I feel his hands are very rough.
"Congratulations with your mating I can see that the two of you are made for each other" he said reaching into a bag next to him and taking out a small gift box handing it to Laika "I hope your mating will be as wonderful as mine" and with that he walks over to a vixentuar with the most fluffy tail and biggest breasts I have ever seen on a foxtaur. They waves at us and as they walk towards the door I wanted to shout thanks but as I watch it looks as if the start to fade slowly by the time they reach the door they vanished.
Laika and look stunned at each other and then down to the gift. I open it slowly and take out what inside. I look at the detailed wooden carving of us in our wedding clothes.
I look at Laika "It couldn't be them could it" She just look at me then shrugs and smiles taking my arm.
"We have two weeks on a beach together to answer that" she said pulling on my arm and I walk with her life looking wonderful for all of us.
