Well this is chapter three of torn apart and it acually came out rather dark at least at the beginning ,but it is all in the name of plot development!

For those of you that can't figure it out in the first five seconds this is told from the point of veiw of Lux.

Warning:: This chapter does contain alot of violence(not in yiff) as well as a good bit of blood. not exactly for the faint of heart!

The first part of this was inspired alot by the song Lonley Day by System of a Down

Other sections were inspired/taken from some of my personal experiences

ENJOY!

========================================================================

I started blankly at the road where the truck that took my best friend was. Lost, Valko was my only friend my only real family ...the only person I had ever loved. And I couldn't live without him. He promised to come back but we both knew he wouldn't. The army would kill him, hell he is already dead. He died the second the called his name. Right there the only fur that ever cared about me died, and everyone cheered for it. I remember when we first met 10 years ago when school first started. We were both six and I already loved him. I didn't even know what love was then but I know now, and that's what it was.

Stood there forever just staring. Everything was mocking me laughing at my tears. The birds the beautiful sky and perfect clouds, I hated all of it. I finally walked back inside in silence, wanting to break every happy face I saw. I sat through class just staring remembering him. Remembering how perfect he was. How much I loved him, everything about him. From his cute fluffy tail to the little smirk he always seemed to wear. I loved how his black fur shined in the sun and how it warm was when you touched it. How I felt to have is arms around me, protecting me from the world. I realized that we were supposed to be watching a video about the new YHU. Their attempts to sugar coat what they were doing were pathetic Young Heroes Unit "fighting for your rights!" They weren't fighting for our rights they were dying for nothing, we had no rights.

I couldn't take it any more I stood up grabbed my stuff and walked out ignoring the teachers yelling. I found my locker right next to Valko's. I looked at it actually smiling slightly remember how it got the dent on the front. I could still remember his laugh as he fell over and hit his head trying to show me "how to dance right". The smile fell from my face as remember the next week when he found out his dad was gone. "Did not complete his mission" was all the letter said, that was it, all the compassion our great leaders could muster. I opened up his locker seeing a little picture of us as kids playing in the woods, happy as could be without a care in the world. I reached back a bit farther in his locker and grabbed his knife. It was steel sliver, and about 5 inches, Valko had always kept it hidden in here "just in case". I felt the gripped the black handling watching the light gleam of the sharp edge. I turned around and check down the halls, empty. I slowly slide down with my back to the locker. I closed my eyes and held it to my wrist shivering as the cold steel touched my skin. The knife slid across my wrist like nothing was there. My white fur stained red. It dripped down my arm started to pool on the floor next to me. A tear slid from my eye as I slowly moved the knife to the other side ready to ease the pain more. It felt good it felt like everything was finally going to be ok. Where ever I am going I'll be waiting for him there. Things started to get dark everything seemed quite there was peace. I could hear footsteps growing louder running at me. I looked up as I slit my other wrist.

I couldn't quite make out what the fur now standing above me was saying, but I did recognize him. He was black wolf one of the more popular guys in the senior class, only a few months away from the draft. He pulled out a gray and bandana and shirt from his back pack, and tied them around my wrists stopping the blood from seeping out of them. I realized what he was doing and tried to pull away but I couldn't fight him. He had me by a good 20 pounds most of which was pure muscle. Suddenly I could hear shouting from down the hall; it was coming from a military guard running towards us. The wolf reached in side his gray jacket then pointed at the guard who was now pointing his rifle at us. I heard a quiet thud as a light flashed from the wolf's paw. The guard fell sideways and slid into the lockers holding his chest. Now I realized the wolf had a small pistol in his hand with what I guessed was a silencer sticking off the end of it.

As the large wolf pushed me ahead, gun in hand, I started to come out of my daze a bit; it was finally dawning on me what was going on. I just watched a student shoot a guard, I looked back at him confused and slightly scared. I wasn't till now that I realized what he looked like. He was wearing a light gray uniform similar to what Valko was wearing, but the wolf looked more like a commando than a new cadet. The patch on his coat shoulder was a light blue with a silver tree in the center at the base of the tree you could see a dead falcon in the claws of an osprey. I think his name is scout but I couldn't remember for sure. He stopped at a door just down the hall and told me to wait outside. He waited for me to nod before quickly opening the door and walking inside. I could hear kids screaming so I peeked my head in to see what was going on. The room was in complete panic and I could barely see scout under a massive brown bear which I recognized as my freshman English teacher Mr. Harris. He somehow managed to pull himself out from under the snarling bear. As he stood up Mr. Harris went to tackle him again, but scout was prepared he step off to the side and put his shoulder into the Bears stomach. He fell on to his back coughing, scout looked up at me then shot him twice in the chest.

Most of the kids in the class were either screaming or trying to hide. "Shut the fuck up", yelled scout putting the gun back inside his jacket, "Luke where are you". A small freshmen bunny walked up from the back of the room shaking. He had short white fur on his front and legs but his back and shoulders were dyed light blue along with the back of his longs rabbit ears and top of his short little tail. Scout put his arm around his shoulders and walked him out of the room. He nodded for me to follow. We walked at decent pace toward the main exit of the building until we started hearing the sounds of more guards. "Someone must have found the dead guard, so I need you guys to try and run for the door, do you think you can make it Lux?" I looked up at Lux and nodded, it's only about 50 yards to the exit...If I'm lucky it will kill me.

We made it about half way before the guards started to ketch up to us. We were only a few yards away from the door when sparks started to fly off the lockers beside us as the guards opened fire. Scout stumbled and pulled us into an open door. The room was dark but I could see him holding his shoulder, he had been shot. "Lux" he said breathing heavily "I want you to take this and get out of here with Luke, there should be a black SUV outside waiting for you with some other kids. Tell the driver I said to go on without me" he said handing me a gun from his leg holster. I recognized it from one of Valko games, it was a colt 1911, but this one was different from the games. It was two tone silver and black with a custom trigger and engraved grip. The weight of the gun hurt my wrist, but it felt good. I nodded again at scout cocking the gun like they did in the game. "Get Going!" he yelled running out the door ,shooting back at the approaching guards. I grabbed Luke by the arm and pulled him through the door behind me. Scout had already shot one of them but three more guards were still there. I turned around right as they opened fire on him. I couldn't think about it now though I had to get Luke out.

We burst through the big double doors and out into the blinding sun. I could barely see anything let alone any cars. Luke let out a yelp as he was tackled by a guard. My vision was finally coming back just in time to see a second guard rushing toward me. The massive German Sheppard slammed me to the wall at full speed knocking the wind out of me. Luke was already in handcuffs on his knees with the guard pointing a rifle at his head. I got my foot up on the wall and pushed back on the guard behind me, he barely moved but it was enough for me to get my gun pointed at the other guard. I pulled the trigger hitting him in the leg. He dropped his gun and fell to the ground as the German Sheppard grabbed my arm banging it on the wall. He tried to make me drop the gun but only caused me to shoot again hitting his companion in the neck. He let go of me and turned around as the black SUV scout had told us about came flying around the corner coming to a screeching halt. Its back doors swung open and an otter girl jumped out grabbing Luke and pulling him into the truck.

The Sheppard pulled out his rifle and aimed it at the back of my head my head. I closed my eyes feeling the cold barrel pressed up against my head. I heard the shot but I didn't feel anything but the heat of blood splatter on my back. There was another shot then there was nothing but silence.

I opened my eyes and turned around to see a white tiger in a gray uniform like scouts standing there. He was holding assault rifle pointed at the dead body of the guard that was behind me. He grabbed me behind the neck and thrust me toward the truck. Luke took my hand and pulled me in to the back seat.

We were already off headed down the highway; I was surrounded by four other kids. All with terrified looks on their faces, staring back at me. All but Luke the young blue and white bunny had my arm around him, he was nuzzled up against my right side crying, but he didn't look scared like the rest of them. I glance back into my reflection in the window and realized why they were afraid. I had blood spray on my face and back even more had started to drip down the side of the gun in my left paw. I held Luke tight to me hoping we were going somewhere peaceful.
