Links Chapter 2

Ok, chapter 2, its not very long, but it was an importaint moment, please let me know what you think and if i should keep writing it, or be honest and say it sucks and i should never attempt at writing stories again.
some of you might say "This is STILL not M/M!!! WE WANT YIFF!!!! RAWR!!!"... well, not yet, be patient, this is still character development at this point.
Chapter 2
Falling
Link arrived at school a few minutes earlier then normal and found Alexa at her locker studying for her math test.
"Hi Alexa" he said shyly
"It's over Link, I just don't feel like I can keep pretending to like you." she responded.
"Ooh ok, I'm sorry to be a dissapointment to you, I guess I'll see you around." he said
"Yeah, whatever, bye" she snapped and with that she turned and walked away without looking back.
By the end of first period it seemed like ever kid in the small highschool knew about the breakup. Link kept getting comments like "damn how could you just dump a cheerleader like that" and "if the cheerleading capitain is not good enough for you then you will never find a girlfriend." Link just ignored comments like these and tried to get finished with the day as fast as possible.
Once home he stomped to his room and slammed the door and shut off the lights. He pulled out his mp3 player from it's spot next to his computer. Turning up the volume to the max he started blaring some heavy rock and metal. Normally Link prefers techno and trance but his mood determines what music he listens to.
"What is going on?" his dad asked through the door. "Another hard day at school?"
Thinking to himself he said sarcastically "no... Not at all, just a normal day where your girlfriend leaves you, followed by 7 straight hours of being made fun of." but only answered with a "yeah dad"
As he was growing up his mom was the main influence on him. His dad had a stressful job saving lives and was only home at nights until they moved in 5th grade. But his dad was the one Link always went to with his problems. His dad and him were similar growing up, good grades, same sports, football, wrestling, and Links career plan (until he got to high school) was to follow his dad and become a doctor. Right now Link did not want to talk to anyone, he just wanted to be left alone to think about what is keeping him awake.
About a half hour after he started listening to his music he fell asleep having one of the most vivid dreams of his life...
Standing on top of a building, police lights below, his parents nowhere to be seen, everyone from his school cheering him on. Link took a step closer to the edge, he could feel the breeze on his fur, the sun was setting slowly behind him. He leaned forward and spread out his arms like wings. The feeling of weightlessness was exhilarating as he started speeding towards the ground.
His mind started racing to everything in his life, his family, his friends, the school bullies. He could not grasp any thought or idea, the pictures just kept flashing in his face and dissappearing, then the images stopped flashing and focused on one person in particular, Daniel, his gay cousin. Link tried to figure out why Daniel came into focus, he had not talked with Daniel in several years, after he found out about Daniel's sexuality. Link suddenly became aware of the ground approching fast and threw his arms forward to brace for impact. The second before he hit the ground, Heleft first person view and watched as his body splattered on the pavement.
Link woke up in a cold sweat trying to catch his breath.
"Holy Shit" he swore
