WOTLF: The story of Nix Chapter 1

P.S. I'm kind of a slow writer so I am posted this part to hopefully encourage my writing.
This is my first story, go easy on me, sorry if my punctuation sucks.
Well i start this a year ago today, 06/30/07, more or less forgot about it. But i remembered so i added to it and im reposting it. I plan to write more chapters.
The new portion might not be as well written, I tend to rewrite things alot which is why I think Part 1 turned out so well
Basic Overview: Pretty much, furies lived on a planet, a virus killed most of them, the others fought each other with nukes, and they died (More Below)
But, there scientists made a backup plan; in case the virus did kill them all, this plan is set in motion thousands of years later by a human archeologist.
Introduction to the Universe - 2671 A.D. The Terran Federation (Humanity) has spread to more then 175 Solar systems, 140 outposts, and 35 Colonies; Ruins have been found on several planets, the only sign of intelligent alien life that has been found.
Nester - Believed to be the Home World of an ancient civilization, long since dead, and the planet shows signs that a nuclear war took place long, long ago. Nestor is the Fourth planet from its sun, and has three moons.
Nix is a female human archeologist working on Nester, the planet show signs that thousands of years ago a highly advanced, Civilization flourished on the world. Signs showed that several sentient specices evolved on the planet, and eventually explored their solar system, but they never advanced further, when a massive Nuclear war broke out on the planet.
In addition, Nix is human and weights about one-fifteen. She has short brown hair, down to her neck (its short so it does not get in the way of her work) and she stands at about 5'7.
Part 1
Nix sighed, another boring day of digging. She shrugged, happy at least that it was slowly getting color outside, as the seasons were changing. She walked outside into the still humid jungle. Alien plants, bearing an almost remarkable similar look to human plants, surround the camp.
When this planet was discovered almost forty years ago, many people thought that maybe a wayward part of humanity lived on the planet. This illusion vanished when it became clear that Civilization that lived on the planet was older then ours. After years of digging and searching it was found out that, the planets Civilization contained many species.
Most of the species were humanoids that lived in peace. However, apparently good portions of the races numbers were killed from a new mutated virus that quickly spread around the planet.
It had a different Mortality Rate for males and females, Almost 80% of the females died and more then 99.87% of the males died. War broke out between the different factions as they vied for power. The warfare turned nuclear when it was discovered that, most females were turned sterile from the virus, and half of the surviving men.
It was unclear how it ended after that, many people found craters believed to be from nuclear blasts, but the radiation was long gone, and life returned to the craters. Most of the craters could not even be seen from space anymore.
Nix got her work order and sighed as she realized she was going to be working alone in the minimal risk green-sector C6. Dammit, she thought to herself that is the farthest from the work camp, and most unlikely to have any artifacts. Realized that pouting will not help her she decided to get ready.
C6 was the lowest part of the Uno crater. The dimwit who mapped this area named it after some pre-warp game. The Uno crater has never even had evidence of artifacts. It was probably a missed shot, Nix thought to herself; At least it is not filled with vegetation
Nix stood over the lifeless crater, she had a small device in her hand that she pointed at the center of the crater. She read the little display, RADIATION LEVELS 0.02% OF SAFETY LIMIT, then she put the device away and put on her big brown gloves. Then she started to slowly climb down, careful not to fall.
SHIT she thought to herself as her right foot lost its footing. She fell and rolled down to the bottom of the crater. At the bottom she looked at herself, Her uniform was dirty, big surprise there, but she didnt seem to have any broken bones, or nasty gashes.
She put down her backpack down on the side of the crater and looked around; she was inside a pit near the middle of the crater. The walls weren't very steep, but unless someone was standing near the pit, they wouldn't see her. She looked down when it felt like her foot felt like it stepped on something hard. She looked down and saw a glint of metal in the dirt.
Nix reaches over for her backpack and pulls out a stainless steel hand shovel. She uses it to dig around the area where she saw the glint. Soon she unveils a large metal plate. She put the shovel back in her pack and lifts her self up to look over it. As she was standing up the plate suddenly opened causing Nix to fall in.
The last thing that Nix sees is darkness.

Part 3
Nix woke up lying on her back, in darkness. She tried to move her hands, but they both felt like they were stuck in something. It felt like she was laying on something rubbery, and that her hands sunk into it.
Nix was suprised, but wasn't very worried; she thought that she might have fallen into a bunker, or a shelter. It was standard procedure that if a person was more then an hour late, someone would be sent to retrieve them. When they found the metal plate they would send a team to investigate.
She was ecstatic, and would have been jumping around if she wasn't restrained. She found, no discovered, a military bunker. Maybe even a fully intact bunker with the lack of debris outside. She might even be promoted, or appear on an empire-wide talk show, she might have made the biggest archeology discovery ever.
Nix suddenly noticed a humming sound, like an old computer was starting up. She closed her eyes as a bright light shined overhead. She looked over to her hands and noticed that it seemed encased in a clear rubbery plastic like-material. She looked to the left and saw a large computer screen on the wall.
Alien Letters flowed from the top of the screen and floated down to the bottom of the screen. Do they read down to up? Nix wondered and.
Zzzzt
Nix looked up to see a floating sphere above her head. It projected a green light at her head and stood there for a moment. "What the Hell?" Nix said aloud, before it took off into a small tunnel to the side of the computer screen. As Nix Looked at the screen, the wording and format changed to English.
Initiating Restoration Procedures - Phase Two
Nix suddenly felt movement on her arms, and she looked down to see the clear rubbery plastic spreading up her arms, and legs. As it spread over here body, it started heating up, making Nix feel very uncomfortable. She looked over to the screen as new writing appeared

Nix, yelped as a burning sensation spread through her.

I do know everything that happens; it just takes me a bit to write it down, I start second guessing myself when I write.
Chapter 2 will have Yiff, 3-4 will have more yiff, plus major plot developments. Then I will switch to a different person. I do have a rough plan of what i'm doing in my head; I just need to write it down.
Hopefully ill get around to writing Chapter 2 soon, I vist this site every week (for the last few years) so at least I wont write this and never comeback, like some people did with some interesting stories that were never completed...

Me again, i have the second part mostly written, i just decided to do some changes on this one first.
I should have the second one up eventually, its mostly done now. It contains a good deal of plot at the beginning, but at the end does feature the start of yiff, which i will feature more of in 3 and 4.
I updated some parts of this story, and correct some errors, thanks for the feed back.
