OK, next bit is here, TY for sticking with it and i'll try to get the next few chapters out soon! Cutting down on teh size more than likely for chapter length, but i hope they're still satisfactory

"You know, I think I could get used to this," Jake said, and then planted a quick kiss on his mate's lips.

"I'm sure you could," Lucas said, smiling at his mate's grin. "But...don't expect us to spend all break in bed,"

Jake sighed and laid his head on Lucas's chest, "But it's nice,"

"Pleasurable...may be the more correct term,"

"It isn't nice?" Jake inquired. "Didn't I wake you up in a kind manner?"

"Teasing me and playing with a sleeping guy is not nice in most peoples' definition...in fact, I don't know it wasn't strange,"

Jake smiled and licked Lucas's nose, "Don't pretend it wasn't fun,"

Lucas chuckled, "Geez...you're not usually like this back home,"

"Back home I don't have to wait a few weeks before I get to have you in bed all to myself," Jake replied simply.

Lucas laughed a little and pushed Jake off of him, "Your muzzle is sticky, go wash up,"

Jake licked his muzzle a little, "That's your fault. If you hadn't pulled me off in an attempt to keep going I wouldn't be sticky," He'd woken the wolf up to a nice treat, and had pleased himself as his mate tried to tell him to stop, though that obviously didn't happen. After a bit Lucas was panting and tell him to pull off or he would shoot-as if that hadn't been the plan in the first place.

Lucas threw Jake a pair of sweat pants that the bear put on slowly, and put on a pair of boxers for himself. He waited till Jake was off the bed and then began to grab the sheets, "Well, I'm going to wash these sheets. After this morning and yesterday they aren't very...well...very home smelling,"

Jake laughed a little as he yelled his response from the bathroom, "They smell like back at Kirson...maybe a bit more musky,"

"And my parent's probably don't appreciate that," Lucas replied. He heard the water begin to run and went to the washroom where he threw in the sheets. As he was getting the sheets down the machine he felt Jake's arms wrap around him.

"All clean," Jake stated with an almost audible grin.

"OK...would you mi-" Lucas was trying to ask before he was given the liquid detergent.

"Here you go," Jake said, already knowing what Lucas would be asking for.

"You read my mind," Lucas said with a laugh. "Thanks Big-guy,"

"No problem Puppy," Jake replied and leaned down on Lucas as the wolf started the washing machine.

"How's your shoulder?"

"It's fine...feels good today," Jake replied. "I'm a fast healer,"

"Good...what do you want to do today?" Lucas asked, "It has to involve clothes," he added as Jake tried to speak.

"Oh..."

"Yeah..." Lucas replied, rolling his eyes at the bear's change in demeanor.

"Don't you like me?" Jake asked, chuckling to himself with simple delight. He nipped at Lucas's ear. Normally he wasn't like this, but honestly he just felt a bit more virile today.

"You know I love you Jake," Lucas replied and pulled away from Jake's grasp, but the bear didn't let him go. He contemplated letting the bear just have an easy win, but he decided against it.

"I love you too," Jake whispered in the wolf's ear-just how Lucas liked it. It made Lucas falter a bit, as he felt his mate drop just for a brief moment.

"I'm not just going to roll over for you,"

"Good," Jake growled and smiled as Lucas tried to get away.

"Answer the question," Lucas said, but already knew exactly where this was headed. He couldn't say he really minded, but at the same time he did want to have fun outside the bedroom with Jake too.

"How about we go out to eat..." Jake suggested. There was a plan, but the plan didn't really go into action until about twelve, and sex was a great hobby.

"It's only ten thirty," Lucas said.

"So...what you're saying is we have nearly an hour to do nothing,"

"Jake...n-" Lucas tried to say when a pair of lips found his neck. His objection came out as a moan instead of a strong 'no' to the suggestion.

Jake pulled away and smiled at Lucas, "You say no...but your body says yes,"

Lucas moved away from Jake finally and gave the bear a stern look, "What separates us from feral beast is knowing how to control those bodies," he said. He couldn't really practice what he preached-his eyes were already on the bear's sheath, where the swollen center in the wind pants told him he was going to end up in the bed with Jake-again.

"Yes...that and the power to choose," Jake replied, closing in on his prey. Lucas may have been objecting, but he knew he'd already won. The wolf's tail was swishing back and forth proudly, and Lucas's excitement was already reaching his nose. If anything, this was just foreplay now.

Lucas moved back from the approaching bear, "Yes, and we must choose activities that benefit the group. I am part of the group and I say we should do something else,"

Jake continued to move forward, "Like what?"

Lucas hit a wall and tried to think, "Li-Like...umm...chess,"

"You know...some people think of life as chess. It's all about making sure," Jake explained as he moved closer to Lucas, "that the pieces from the other side are taken down one by one. You use your power and mind to meld together a strategy that yields the desired victory. Take down the enemy forces and defenses," Jake growled as he reached Lucas. He smiled as Lucas seemed to lose a few more of his 'pieces' as his own strategy gained ground. He began a low rumble from his chest right next to his mate's ear.

"But you forget that there are lots of ways to make the enemy get close and then strike, drawing the strings of a trap on you. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a powerful piece for the greater good," Lucas replied-making up the excuse as he went. There was a small plan in his head, and a phone in his paw. He tried his best to blindly navigate through the menu. His member was mostly out of his sheath and he looked up at Jake.

"True Puppy," Jake said and pulled Lucas into a hug. Their bodies met and he smiled down at him, "but this is checkmate..."

"Are you sure about that?" Lucas asked with a smile.

"Qui-" Jake was saying before a ringing startled him. He let go of Lucas, who quickly made a bee line out of the kitchen.

"Sorry Big-guy! You only had me in check right then!" Lucas yelled as he threw the phone behind him.

Jake caught the phone and growled, "That's not fair!"

Lucas laughed as Jake came like a train after him. They were both at the table, him on one side and Jake at the other. He tried to avoid his pursuer, "I think I call it strategy,"

Jake was intent to close the wolf into a corner, "You cornered yourself,"

"No I didn't...I have more stamina than you," Lucas replied. He saw an exit and took it, running for his room. Jake's feet made stomps behind him as he managed to close and lock the door behind him. He heard Jake pull at the door.

"Come out come out Puppy," Jake growled and pulled more on the door. If he wanted he could easily take the door down, but he knew they were playing a game now.

"Sorry Big-guy...you got locked out of my castle," Lucas jeered with a laugh.

"Cheater! You already moved your king!" Jake replied.

"What is my king Jake?"

"You're the king! You can't move yourself and then castle-that's cheating and you know it! Open this door!" Jake growled and shook the handle.

Lucas laughed, "Does that make you my queen?"

"You idiot! I'm obviously trying to capture you!" Jake replied. "If anything I'm the king on the other side,"

Lucas began to laugh even louder, this was too good. "Sorry Big-guy...work on your strategy some more...I am safe and sound right now,"

"You little..." Jake fumed and sat down in front of the door, thinking about what he could do. All his current options involved breaking down doors, walls, or windows. His mind was a bit low on blood, all of it in his member, and the wolf's scent came teasingly from under the door.

Lucas moved over to the bed and lay down, "Good luck...King Jake!" he said jeeringly as the bear walked off. He smiled to himself and removed his boxers, knowing that they would be gone soon enough-hopefully. He slowly stroked his member and was almost waiting on Jake to break through. He hadn't meant to drive him away. He realized that the chance of Jake knowing about the key on the top of the door was slim to none, but he decided to wait and see anyway.

Jake moved through the house and sighed. He moved into a closet and decided to wait for Lucas to come out.

First a minute passed, then another. Lucas looked at his clock and saw ten minutes had already passed. He growled and sat up, "Stupid bear...I'm practically inviting him and he just sits out there...I mean...yeah the door is locked, but there is a key on the top of the door frame," Lucas said and sighed. There was no way Jake could know that but he'd hoped the bear would find it. He got up and moved to the door and opened it. It was pretty light in the house, but all the lights were out. He let out a whistle, "There aren't any ninjas in chess!" he yelled in the house.

No response. Lucas moved out of his room and looked from side to side, walking slowly and surely. He really had no idea where Jake was. He'd checked every room and was now clueless. He moved to the kitchen, "Jake...come-here boy! I got a treat for you," he yelled as he looked under the kitchen table. There was a light swishing sound, that of wind pants and he knew he'd just lost.

Jake slid open the door from the closet and moved out. He chuckled lightly to himself and snuck up behind Lucas, who was looking under the kitchen table. The wolf tried to get out quickly but Jake pulled him off the ground and held him in a vice grip, "Got you!" he growled.

Lucas fought for a moment in the bear's arms and looked back at him, "Where were you?"

"Kitchen closet," Jake said with a light chuckle.

"Ahh...you were in the closet...how appropriate," Lucas jeered at the bear and grunted as Jake hugged the air out of his lungs.

Jake took the joke with grace and turned Lucas around in his arms. He could feel Lucas's member press against his stomach and looked up at him. He had Lucas off the ground so he couldn't escape, "I knew you'd come eventually,"

Lucas smiled down at Jake, "I call for a cease fire,"

"Why? I have won. This is checkmate Puppy,"

"Because...I'm willing to surrender some of my possessions and hopefully we could work out a treaty of sorts," Lucas replied. The bear had the grin planted on his muzzle.

"Why...I could take it all for myself right now anyway?"

"Because...I have the key to some of the best stuff in the land...and without me it's worth nothing,"

"Fine...What sort of treaty?" Jake inquired.

"Well...we let our men live in peace...call an end to the war...and we take the negotiations to my private quarters," Lucas said.

Jake growled, "How do I know it's not a trap? Why shouldn't I just take you as a captive?"

"Because...King Jake," Lucas said with a smirk, "I see you're a man of reason, and you wouldn't want to displease the masses by taking someone in my position as a mere hostage. Rather...we could work together,"

Jake's grin continued to grow on his muzzle, "So, what type of treaty?"

"Well, we could unite our kingdoms,"

"I'm greedy...I don't like to share,"

"I would let you call the shots...I'd simply be at your side," Lucas replied.

"What about my queen? She's second in command,"

Lucas scoffed, "We both know you don't have a queen. And besides, aren't two kings better? A queen falls and even a pawn can rise up to take her place-a mere peasant can be her equal, but you have the chance for me to be at your side-a second king,"

Jake let out a happy growl, "I may need a bit of convincing,"

"Let's convene in my quarters then," Lucas said with a smile. The bear soon was walking to the bedroom and they were in it in a matter of seconds.

"Now...what type of agreement can we work out?" Jake asked, pushing Lucas to the bed and moving on him.

"Well, you see your majesty. I believe that we can both work out each other's weakness and build off one another,"

"Oh?" Jake inquired. He grabbed Lucas's wrists and held them above his head, "I've heard you are quite powerful in negotiations...you have a sly tongue. How do I know you aren't trying to trick me?"

"My King...I would not do such to one of your reputation," Lucas replied. "But...if my skills of the tongue are in doubt then I would much like to demonstrate my skills for you,"

"How would you do that?" Jake asked, leaning closer and closer to Lucas's lips.

"I cou-" Lucas was trying to say but Jake kissed him roughly. He moaned as the bear made use of his muzzle and rubbed his erect cock against the bear's pants.

Jake pulled back and smiled, "There is no doubt...you have a good tongue,"

Lucas smiled, "I have an array of tricks that I can use...some of my assets are known for their ability to please all who I share my wealth with,"

"I don't like to repeat myself, but I'm greedy...I don't like to share with others...who else do you share your wealth with?"

"No one...my wealth is yours," Lucas replied and leaned up and licked Jake on the nose.

Jake laughed a little. They had never taken role playing like this, but it wasn't bad, Lucas was pretty good for a submissive king. "Well, if you're to be at my side...then I'll have to have a look at these assets,"

Lucas nodded, "Of course...but what about your side of the treaty?"

"My side?"

"Yes, what shall you share with me and my kingdom?"

Jake smiled, "I shall provide you with protection,"

"Oh...wasn't it you who attacked me...who will you protect me from? Yourself?" Lucas inquired. That earned him a growl and the bear's teeth bared in front of him.

"Don't test me Puppy...I would hate to believe that you are a king whose tongue does not know of being held," Jake growled, trying his best to be menacing.

"My deepest apologies," Lucas replied. "I simply mean, what else do you have to offer to our soon to be bonded lands?"

"I have many fine assets," Jake said and smiled, "I am known for demanding respect and loyalty from all my subjects and in return I defend them with an iron paw. Such loyalty does not go unpaid, and I allow my subjects pleasures of good food and merriment,"

"Oh? And for those who you serve with, what pleasures do you give them?"

Jake leaned down and kissed Lucas lightly on the lips, "For those who appease me and I see fit, I do much for them. Though there is not many a man who I see as being on my level...though I wager if I were to meet him he'd receive treatment of flowing pleasures,"

Lucas moaned and let the bear have his neck as a place for Jake to wet his lips. "Do I fit such a category?"

"Yes," Jake growled and moved to Lucas's lips, "You are unparalleled in your abilities and strength. It would be an honor...to share my wealth with you,"

Lucas groaned and looked up at Jake. He was getting tired of the game, "Then...perhaps we can see if our assets would be of good use to one another,"

"How would you suggest that?" Jake inquired with a smile. He was having fun with this.

"They say you don't know a man who hides behind clothes of grandeur, and I believe you are hiding something," Lucas said, placing a paw on the bear's pants.

"I have nothing to hide," Jake replied, letting the wolf pull his pants down. He quickly began to work on his mate's boxers.

"Do you not?" Lucas asked. He liked this game. Right now it felt a bit different. It was king of like pulling teeth.

"No," Jake growled. Lucas could be like a Russian mob boss sometimes. He would give you anything you wanted with a smile-but you would definitely pay for it-maybe not now, but later for sure. The wolf kissed at his neck and his growl faded a bit.

"I think you do," Lucas replied with a straight face. The bear was growling a little less but still had his teeth bared right at his neck. He moved a bit and ran a paw up to Jake's muzzle, "You act like the big bad bear...and you are, but there's other things,"

Jake lessened the growl to a dull rumble and glared at Lucas, "What are you suggesting?"

"You like dominance...I can see that," Lucas said and licked over the bear's teeth that were bared at him still. "And can you really tell me I'm wrong in assuming that maybe...just maybe you, the big bad dominant bear, want to let someone else take care of him?"

"You really nee-" Jake was saying with a paw swatted on his muzzle.

"Come-on now...no need to play the big bad bear now. I like to play the big bad wolf sometimes,"

"Two dominant personalities don't meld,"

"Good thing there's only one isn't it?" Lucas asked and rubbed the bear's sheath, "I like a guy who lets his façade down every once in awhile...especially like this,"

Jake cocked his head, his teeth hidden by his gums again, "They speak truly of you...you're tongue is very skilled,"

Lucas couldn't' help but roll his eyes. He looked up at the bear and licked his muzzle, "You don't know the half of it...but," Lucas said and took a strategic pause as he pushed Jake off him and moved to the top of the bear, "you'll have to play nice,"

Jake smiled up at Lucas, "What could you poss-"

Lucas sighed and cocked his head. He was done playing the game, "Shut-up and just kiss me,"

Jake laughed and happily obliged the wolf. His tongue ran over Lucas's and felt his mate's paws grab him roughly. As the kiss continued the same pair of paws ripped his wind pants down to his knees and Jake struggled to kick them off. Soon his member and Lucas's were rubbing against one another's. The wolf was aggressive and he guessed that the game had taken its toll on him.

Lucas chuckled in the kiss and moaned as Jake's paw moved through his fur, giving him a rough massage. The bear had what he wanted now-not to say he didn't want this too. Jake was really good at coaxing him into the bedroom, though that would imply it took any real effort. If Jake simply said 'bedroom. Now' then Lucas knew he'd probably run with Jake to it. Lucas pulled from the sloppy kiss and smiled at his mate, "Sixty nine,"

"Percent of your land?" Jake asked jokingly.

"You can have all of me if you'd prefer..."

Jake smiled and leaned in for another quick kiss with his mate-happy he'd won their love making match. Besides, he really did have a plan for this afternoon with Lucas.

*******

"Wow....you actually did have plans," Lucas said.

"Of course...I'm not totally without skill," Jake replied with a laugh.

"This will be fun," Lucas said, a bit surprised. Jake was taking him out to lunch, and all his friends were here waiting for them. In fact, they were all going to ride together.

"I'm glad," Jake replied, happy that his mate was pleased so far. It had been a bit difficult to get everyone to agree on a time, all the while making sure Lucas had no idea about it. He'd planned to surprise the wolf. He'd known Lucas wanted to have a good time with his friends outside, and didn't want the wolf to spend all his time just with him either. So he wanted the day to be a pleasant surprise for him.

"Yeah...I really did," Lucas said and leaned over on Jake, "You're amazing,"

"I know," Jake replied and kissed the wolf on the top of the head.

"Guys...too mushy," Sam said.

Lucas leaned up quickly and blushed as much as Jake did. They had forgotten they weren't alone, "Sorry...I didn't mean to freak you guys out,"

"Still...trying to adapt to it," Sam said with a light chuckle. "You know...one of my best friends is...mated-to a guy,"

Gina shrugged her shoulders, "I mean...if anything we're all still a bit surprised,"

"I'm sorry," Jake said and looked away.

"What?" Alex asked. "Don't be...we still like you guys the same...just have to label things differently now. It's a bit different now. When Lucas says he's going to 'hang out with Jake' it doesn't hold the meaning it did before,"

Jenny nodded, "Yeah, now it's a bit...personal,"

Jake blushed a little. He looked over at Lucas and gave a light smile, and his mate was surprisingly blushing along with him.

"What made you two start going out anyway?" Gina asked.

Lucas felt his ears twitch a little and he looked at the rest of the group-instead of uncomfortable confusion there was just curiosity. He looked up at Jake who had the uncomfortable confusion look on his own face. It was almost ironic. A light smile hit his muzzle though. "Well...what drives anyone to go out with someone?"

"Their looks," Sam said without waiting.

Jenny looked over at Sam, "Oh really?"

"Well...that and an amazing personality..." Sam said unsurely, knowing he was in a hole with Jenny now. The entire group did however get a laugh at his expense. He looked to Jake, "Well, answer the question you guys," he said, trying to get the heat off himself.

"Umm...I liked Lucas..." Jake said, blushing a little and wondering what he was supposed to say. "He was...the first guy...that, I, um...you know...came out too,"

"And Lucas was ironically in the closet too..." Gina said with a light chuckle.

Jake's face became red and he looked away.

Lucas scowled a little, "Yeah, and I liked Jake...he is kind and nic-"

"Woah...don't get defensive," Gina interrupted. This time the group had a small laugh at the expense of Jake and Lucas, who were both red faced with embarrassment. "Oh...we're here,"

"Yeah," Alex said, "If you pay attention to the road you wouldn't be so amazed when we get to our locations,"

Gina stuck her tongue out at Alex who just laughed at her. They all got out of the van and into the restaurant. It wasn't a fast food place, and it wasn't a really fancy place. They were quickly seated at a large booth and all ordered a drink and began to look at the menu.

"Hey, would you look at that," Gina said, "A couples' menu,"

"Yeah, isn't that great-Jenny?" Lucas asked, deflecting the joke onto his friends.

"Well played," Sam replied with a laugh.

"Jerk...I think we all know who that was implied to," Jenny replied with a light smirk. All eyes at the table rolled their eyes.

Lucas knew this would keep going for a good bit. They would all poke at him and Jake, but at the same time it was nothing more than a mechanism for them to really adapt and cope with it. Alex was the most accepting of the group, he'd always been kind and understanding. The entire group was just surprised, but he guessed that meant neither him nor Jake put out a gay attitude-which was good. A tap on his foot made him look over at Jake.

"What are you thinking of getting?" Jake asked, nodding towards the menu.

"Umm...the meat lovers dish sounds interesting...you?"

"I was kind of thinking the Turn Top Salad..." Jake replied.

"You? A salad?" Lucas asked with a chuckle.

"I'm feeling green today...and look, we can compromise...check it out...you don't get a salad with your meal but we can share this way," Jake said pointing back and forth from each dish.

"That's better than any couples' menu deal," Lucas replied with a laugh.

Jake chuckled lightly and put his menu down along with Lucas, already knowing exactly what they would do. After a few minutes the waitress came back and everyone ordered. Sam and Jenny did get a couples' meal, which was pretty funny. Alex got a small pizza and Gina got fish. As they waited they all began to talk.

Jake sighed and leaned back a little-this was all going very well. He didn't really know if they all liked him as much as they had when he was just 'Lucas's friend', but at the same time that didn't matter. The important thing was that they all still acted the same around Lucas for the most part and none of them had a problem with him.

The only thing he cared about was that Lucas was happy-so long as that single goal was met he had nothing to worry about or fret over. The wolf was currently laughing at a joke told by Jenny, one he'd missed while thinking about his mate.

After a few minutes their food came out and Jake looked over at Lucas, "So...how do you want to split it up?"

"Hmm...well, you want just a bit right?"

"Yeah, I'm in a green mood today,"

"OK, well...say when," Lucas said and began to put meat onto the bear's plate.

Jake waited for a few seconds, "When," he said and the wolf immediately stopped. "Just help yourself to some salad,"

Lucas nodded and did just that. They both ate calmly and held a conversation with everyone. Jake was surprised to hear that Lucas's friends would have to head back to school this week, and became even gladder that he had called them all together. This would probably be Lucas's last chance to see them all till spring break or summer.

The meal passed quickly and Jake found himself actually being somewhat engaged in the conversations-and was sure Lucas was proud of that feat. As they were going back to his own car he saw Lucas grinning at him, as if he'd done some fantastic feat. They both got in and Jake let out a small sigh. He looked over at Lucas who was grinning at him still. "What?"

"I love you Jake...I've told you that, right?"

"Hmm...I'm not sure, can you repeat it?" Jake asked, smiling gently at his mate.

"I lo-" Lucas began and a bang on the window made him jump. He looked back and saw Alex at his window.

"Hey, you two stop making love faces at each other and one of you take this to-go bag you guys got!" Alex said, waving a takeout bag in his paw.

Lucas scowled and rolled down the window, "You could've knocked,"

"I could've...but then I would've missed your lubbydubby moment," Alex said and smirked.

Jake stifled a laugh at his mate's expense.

"You're just jealous," Lucas said with a smile.

"Oh yeah...I want my girlfriend to look just like Jake," Alex said and rolled his eyes. "No offense Jake...I mean that you're manly and...well...I think you get it,"

"Oh..." Jake said, but couldn't help his face from turning a bit red in embarrassment. "No offense taken,"

Alex smiled and stepped back, "Well, I'll see you guys around, OK?"

Lucas nodded and began to roll up the window.

"Cya," Lucas and Jake said at the same time.

Lucas looked over at Jake, "Now...as I was saying...I love you Jake,"

Jake chuckled at the wolf's recovery of their subject, "I love you too Lucas,"

"Thanks for today...it meant a lot to me," Lucas said as they pulled out of the parking lot.

"Ehh, it was nothing big," Jake said with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Yeah it was, you had to organize all that in a small amount of time, and I don't know how you did because it seems like we've spent every moment together...and I'm grateful that you let me see my friends again,"

Jake blushed and felt the praise embed itself into his mind. "Really...it wasn't anything,"

"You know...I think if we hurry home we can make it in time for another game of chess," Lucas said and winked at the bear.

"Chess?"

"Yeah, or have you already forgotten King Jake?"

Jake felt his eyes widen a bit, "Oh...more negotiations?" he asked, grinning at Lucas.

Lucas laughed a bit and nodded, "Yes,"
