Location: Club Nova Streets.

The day went by quickly at first, but began to slow down as the afternoon settled in; nobody said anything, but I knew that they were aware of how restless I was starting to become. The day started with a few 'roundups', clearing out what little commotion was left from the previous night like dealers, addicts, anyone who made the area seem untidy; that was one of the tricks about working for one of the most infamous nightclubs in the city; you had to maintain appearances and blend in with all the other buildings to avoid any unwanted attention.

Ever since I left the club for today's rounds, my mind constantly wandered away from my current situation. I couldn't stop thinking about Elle; waking up next to her in bed after a long and hard day, fooling around with her and just letting her go crazy with my body. All the other times that I wasn't thinking about Elle, I was thinking about the people we had just sorted out only minutes ago, waiting and even wanting them to make a move on us so I had someone to take out my frustration on; but every time my mind seemed to wander away from the current situation, I would receive a quick jab from Viggo's elbow, forcing my mind back to the present.

"Just be reasonable and piss off...preferably now." I heard Viggo growl as my mind was brought back to the current situation yet again; I briefly rotated my eyes around to assess that we were all in an alleyway, trying to clear out a single junkie.

Overall, it wasn't much to look at; the junkie a Feline, about one foot smaller than Rex but almost identical in appearance - minus the ruffled fur and bloodshot eyes - wearing a baggy hooded coat with the sleeves torn off. I stood firmly between the Dragon, Pump, and the Feline, Rex, as Viggo backed the other Feline up against the wall; I kept my eyes on the small handgun the Feline had stashed in his right pocket, waiting for him to take it out and start something just so I could finish it.

"Come on, we can work something out." The Feline stammered, trying to keep calm under the pressure and quickly looking at each of us, from Viggo to Rex to me, avoiding eye-contact with the Dragon next to me; "I've got some nice merchandise I can sell you; I'll even give you a discount if you want."

"I'm not going to repeat myself, scum." Viggo growled even louder, his patience wearing out as the Feline tried to worm his way out of the situation he was in; I kept my focus on his right paw as it reached down towards his handgun, slowly gripping it as Viggo began to back away from him.

In one fluid motion, the Feline and I both acted at once; once Viggo had backed away by a few feet, the Feline quickly whipped out his handgun, making me react almost immediately by flexing my tail around to my front as I stepped forwards, gripping the handgun with it before the Feline could even pull the trigger. I suddenly whipped my tail from the base, sending a quick ripple up to the tip and tearing the gun away as I drove one knee into the Feline's gut, sending him to the floor in barely a second.

Viggo, Rex and Pump all looked at me with surprise, as if I had moves as fast as lightning; to me, my movements felt normal, though I was aware that I shouldn't be feeling 'normal'. I had just taken down an armed Feline in just over a second - granted it was only a junkie - with just my tail and one knee. I could just feel my pulse at that moment, racing beyond what I thought possible - at least two full beats per second - even as we walked out of the alleyway; everyone else but the Feline followed behind me except for Viggo, who strode forwards and took the lead purely to show that he was the leader.

"...What the hell was that?" Viggo finally asked as we all stepped into the limousine waiting for us just outside the alleyway; Rex entered the front seat as the rest of us entered the back. "You just took that guy down before he could even let off a shot..."

"It's nothing..." I said slowly, dismissing the comment and bowing my head, feeling a wave of heat wash over me with no sign of stopping; my heart was still racing inside my chest, but everything began to feel normal as we headed off to our next location.

"Just warn me before you do something like that again." The Fox sighed, rubbing his forehead slowly as he began to look at my tail, safely tucked between my legs. "...your tail is bleeding, by the way."

I looked down at my tail quickly, noticing that the couple of inches at the tip looked as though they were bleeding; my heart could hardly change pace from the surprise I felt. I wasn't even aware that I had taken any injury when disarming the Feline in the alleyway; a closer inspection revealed that it wasn't blood, but probably a bruise or swelling of some sort. I turned my focus away from my tail as we suddenly stopped at a corner, the front of the vehicle facing a small shop tucked between two larger buildings.

"We're right where we need to be." I heard Rex call out from in front of us; I watched as Viggo and Pump both opened the doors to each of my sides. "I'll stay here while you do the dirty work."

I blinked once behind my facemask, unnoticeable to Viggo and Pump as we stepped out of the vehicle and approached the small shop; I simply followed Viggo's lead as we all pressed our bodies up against the walls just to the sides of the entrance; Viggo and Pump on the left, me on the right. I saw the Fox blink at me repeatedly, signalling with one paw for me to draw out the knife strapped to my left shoulder; I pulled out the knife slowly and handled it uncomfortably in my right claw; I was more used to handling things with my left, but it wasn't as if we could suddenly swap places. I had the feeling we weren't just here for a bit of shopping...we were here for a certain someone...someone who knew something.

I saw Viggo draw his signature handgun out slowly; a revolver, like mine, but pure bronze with an elongated barrel, about four inches long with a three-barrelled, enlarged cylinder that made up for the lack of shots with the pure force of each shot. I barely had much time to look at the weapon before the door swung open, blocking Viggo as a figure stepped out quickly; as soon as I saw Viggo widen his eyes and blinked twice, signalling me just before I stretched my right arm out to full length quickly, bringing my knife straight up to the figure's throat.

I saw Viggo and Pump come from around the door in the corner of my eye as I inspected the figure I was holding at knife-range; a male Canine, probably a Collie of some sort; I could hardly tell by the amount of patterns and symbols that were tattooed and dyed into his fur. The Collie looked more like some kind of insane tribe-member than an actual person; however, it didn't stop me from keeping my knife at his throat. I finally let up as Viggo gently pushed the knife to one side, letting Pump grab the Canine and slam him up against the wall just next to me.

"We're looking for some of your friends." Viggo said sternly, standing just a couple of feet from the Canine and keeping his handgun pressed up against the Collie's forehead; "you tell us where they are, and you get to keep your head; if not, you get a new mark to go with all the rest."

"I'm not telling you shit." The Canine growled, talking to Viggo as if he knew what he was on about; however, I had almost no idea what was going on between the two; I didn't even know enough to make a guess as to what this would bring us.

"Statue, 'wound' him." Viggo ordered, pulling the gun away from the Collie's head as I quickly approached him, holstering my knife and holding my claws just at each side of his head, eventually finding the soft-point on each side of his skull. By the way Viggo said 'wound' him, I knew exactly how to go about it; I began by slowly pressing a single claw against each soft-point, putting on more and more pressure until blood began to drip out of each wound. "Now tell us where your friends are; otherwise you'll end up losing more than a small part of your brain."

"...I'm still not telling you anything." The Collie managed to whine as I began to stop outing any pressure on each point, keeping my claws perfectly still as he reached down into his cut-trousers, pulling out a small note and dropping it on the floor; I saw Viggo reach down and grab the note in the corner of my eye as I quickly pulled my claws away, the shock of which sent the Canine to the floor in pain as Pump also released his throat.

"That's fine by me; we have all we need." Viggo smiled as the Collie was gripping his head on the ground, probably playing his role by giving Viggo that note; I followed behind as we returned to the limousine, still watching Viggo as he inspected the note.

"Good news boys; we're going clubbing tonight." Viggo laughed, crumpling up the note in one paw and dropping it out of the window as we took off as quickly as we had arrived; "so pack your guns up and let's get this over with."

Location: New Vega, The Sinkhole.

There were few things that Seekers tolerated; on one hand there were junkies, addicts and punks that made the streets around the club look unpleasant; on the other hand, there were murderers, blackmailers and slave-owners that we just wouldn't tolerate, especially in our neighbourhood. That was what we were sent to do that day; find a certain band consisting of that 'other hand' and put them down...permanently.

The note that Viggo picked up earlier that day was the address of the club we were supposed to 'investigate', nicknamed The Sinkhole; the only problem we had was that the club use metal scanners just like Club Nova; fortunately, we had ways of getting weapons past the scanners. We had our weapons stashed down an alleyway, waiting for a certain someone to pick them up and drop them off at a certain location; hopefully the shooting would start just after that certain someone dropped them off.

I sat just next to Viggo, opposite of Pump in the limousine, letting the Fox explain the plan to us quickly. Just as before, my heart was still racing in my chest, still feeling as natural to me as the immense heat that covered my entire body; the only difference was that my mind was no longer wandering; I was fully focused on the situation in front of me, but not exactly in the good way. My mind was constantly drawn to what I would do to deal with each and every person associated with the club; from killing them as fast as I could to letting them die slowly.

"So here's the plan." Viggo said, bringing me back to reality as I blinked repeatedly, trying to clear my head of all thoughts so I could understand what the Fox was saying; "Rex, you're going to stay here and watch our ride; the rest of us are going to get into the club and hire out a room; we already have a Seeker ready to drop our weapons in anytime; once we get into the room, we'll start from there and kill as we see."

I nodded quickly, stepping out of the limousine and into the darkened streets along with Viggo and Pump, the only source of light coming from the flickering sign overhead, the word 'Sinkhole' barely visible just over the double-doors into the club. The building was small compared to all the others surrounding it; barely five or so stories, along with a few balconies hanging above the alleyways on each side; the building was also slightly thinner than average, barely able to hold a nightclub inside, let alone enough rooms to house the club's 'patrons'.

I walked just behind Viggo and just in front of Pump, making sure I was prevented from killing anyone without someone stopping me; I still didn't trust myself well enough to not kill someone as soon as I saw him. Some kind of bloodlust was running through my body as we walked through the metal scanners at the door and past the two bouncers; I was almost thankful that no one could see me scowling behind my facemask as we walked into the club.

"Now all we need to do is hire out a room." I heard Viggo mutter, letting him lead the way to a small table in the corner of the club; I sat down casually, facing the rest of the club so I could get a good look at our surroundings.

The club was only lit by a few rails of spotlights that formed a large square in the centre of the room; each spotlight was directed so that they covered the whole room, about fifteen to twenty metres long and wide. There were certain points in the room that were replaced with platforms and poles, all of them occupied by strippers, all of them wearing the same, fake golden-attire, each with an almost invisible leash connecting them to the pole they were on; I slowly began to tap my claws on my legs as I tried to drown out the loud music overhead and identify what kind of people were in the club.

As far as I could see, there was only one person who seemed to stand out; a large, Black Wolf sitting down on the far side of the room, one female slave on each side with his arms wrapped around them as the one in front of him was holding up a large glass of alcohol, letting the Wolf drink from it as desired. The whole scene was enough to make me sigh and turn away in disgust to face Viggo; no innocent person should have to live that way. I only managed to halt my anger upon seeing Viggo's facial expression.

I followed Viggo's shocked eyes to one side of the room, noticing a Red Fox slave tied up to a pole like the rest. The Fox was similar to Viggo in more ways than one; they shared the same kind of fur - naturally ruffled up, with a worn-red tinge to it - and had the same kind of straightened out tail; I noticed that their hair-fur colour was also the same light-brown colour that seemed to blend in with their fur. I looked back at Viggo after a few seconds, noticing that his shocked expression had turned to a subtle kind of anger; I nodded my head towards the girl as soon as Viggo looked at me, receiving a nod in turn.

"We're hiring her out for the night." Viggo growled, leaning in so Pump and I could hear him; "keep her alive no matter what; kill anyone who touches her without my consent."

I tilted my head slightly and looked back at the girl for a brief moment, getting up with Viggo and leaving Pump behind to keep a subtle eye on the club; it wasn't as if we were leaving him behind to die; in fact, he was probably the most suitable to leave behind. My mind started to itch with excitement and interest as Viggo and I walked through the club and up to the Black Wolf in the far side of the club, with one certain thought running through my head...

I didn't even know Viggo had a sister...
