"My father? You mean Ronald? HA! He always preferred my brother. My mother? Bah. She always preferred my sister. But who do the people prefer? Me. And where does the world look to for ideas and innovation? Valtovka. And when they look towards Valtovka, they look to me. The world looks to me." - Ian Fastolf

He is one of the most shadowy public figures Osa has, but he is also one of the brightest. His personality is almost impossible to decrypt, only his family members truly know his motives and reasoning. And perhaps sometimes not even them. One thing is for sure, he always has a plan, every move he makes, every word his says, is all part of a much larger scheme.

As the second born son, he was entitled to a plot of land, and a seat in the imperial congress. He also commanded the Gray Watch. However fate had more in store for Ian, and instead of his older brother John taking the seat of First Console, he took it.

Ian is cunning, manipulative, cold, dogmatic, fearless, lustful, short tempered, and of course arrogant.

But he is also; hardworking, intelligent, valiant, generous, understanding, loving, wise, and emotionally sensitive.

His sisters seem to be what he is the most protective of, it's not wise to say anything negative about them with in ear shot. It's rumored that the Fastolf's have a, special kind of love. Perhaps this explains why?

As A child Ian displayed leadership abilities, and a strong sense of dedication. Something that went mostly unnoticed by both parents, because Ian was the second born son, he often didn't get much attention. So he played the loner for a good portion of his life. And with that, developed a nasty habit of talking to himself. Or did he?

Ian's divine blood granted him the traits of Robin the Deceiver, the god of free will. And with that a gateway of sorts was opened. Ian has the ability to be 'possessed' if you will, by Robin. So that talking, was actually to someone after all. It's very rare Robin sees fit to fully take over Ian's body, most of the time he'll just try and catch a glimpse of what's going on. It's fairly easy to tell when this happens. Ian's eyes turn blue, and if he speaks his voice drastically changes pitch. On rare occasions, Ian will spout into fits of laughter, one of Robin's traits.

"Drothar? A bunch of mountain dwelling idiots led by a Lion who titles himself King. How quaint. How backward. How easily broken. How easily terrified." - Ian

Ian has very little tolerance for anyone who disturbs his rule. But should someone be so careless as to insult him personally, there will be much more then hell to pay. Never was this more evident than the at Drotharian village of Grutz. Absolutely no lives were spared. The male populace paid an even higher price, for their king's insult.

Perhaps what Ian is most infamous for, is the revision of the Gray Watch. As most know the gray watch started out as an honor guard for various fursons of importance. However, Ian seen potential for much more. Under him, the gray watch became a sort of genetically altered soldiers, and secret police. While most of the technology is still in a prototype stage, the watch performs far better than your average soldier. Most people only see them while they patrol the areas around the imperial palace. Otherwise, their almost impossible to catch.

"The princes are relics of the past. The sooner they realize how unimportant they are, the sooner I can get this country and these people back on track." - Ian

Despite Ian's cruelty and arrogance, he really does care about the people and the land. His emotions run deep, but he will most likely never show them to anyone who is not in his family, in his mind his turbulent feelings are his greatest weakness.
