Okay, this is the first story that I have put on here, and it's roughly based off of a story I wrote in the Eighth grade. To clear any confusion, italics are thoughts, and and stars * are time skips. Also, this story contains Violence (Not in Yiff), Blood, Death, and Bad Language, but all that was all in the tags so you probably knew that. Do not try any acts performed in this story as they are performed by proffesionals. So if you're under-age for whatever place you live at, or if you try these stunts, I am not legally responsible for any ideas you get from this story. Okay, enjoy!

As I drove down the dirt road, I thought about how easy my mission has been so far. I had already taken down three laboratories since I set off on this little mission of mine a month ago, but there were a lot more to go. The objective was simple: Take down as many labs as possible.

When I reached the end of the road, I popped open the trunk and got out of the car. There was a slight breeze in the air as it ruffled the shaggy, brown hair on my head. I went around to the back of the car and looked at all the weapons I had collected on this little "adventure" of mine. I had a whole arsenal of weapons from "AK-47" to "Uzi". This time I stuck with a rifle, a pistol with a silencer, two hunting knives, and two flash grenades. Little did I know, as I strapped my weapons on, a pair of blood-red eyes watched me from a distance.

**********

I had been sneaking through the woods for a few hours now, but I wasn't even tired. I had just reached a small meadow when I looked up at the sky. The sun was just touching the horizon.

I need to get there before the sun sets, or the wolves will get me.

Right after I thought that, I heard a howl in the distance. I stopped dead in my tracks. Another howl joined in, and another, and another!

Damn, they spotted me! There must be at least a dozen of them!

I pulled out the rifle off my back while I quickly scanned the area around me. I stopped when my eyes met a pair of crimson ones. Several more sets of those red eyes reveiled themselves around that one pair of eyes. The wolf I spotted first took a step into the meadow, growling at me, its jet-black body lowered the ground. It was at least three times bigger than an actual wolf.

That must be the leader of this pack. Either that, or it's really stupid. Probably both.

Just then, the leader barked at me three times, giving the other wolves the signal to attack. They were just as big as the first one and they quickly leaped at me, teeth bared, not ready to give mercy. Neither was I.

I quickly took out four of them with the rifle, staining their fur red. A wolf on my right tried to grab my arm in its muzzle, but I made a quick dodge backwards and shot it in the head. Another one leaped at me from behind, making me fall to the ground and my gun to fly a few feet away from me.

Damn! I should have seen that coming!

I pulled out my hunting knives, slashing the necks of two wolves in the proccess. Blood splattered on my face, arms, and shirt. There were five wolves left, and they were closing in on me. One wolf jumped at me, but I quickly stabbed it in the side of the neck.

Just then, the lead wolf, that had been sitting on the sidelines for the entire fight, howled. The last four wolves quickly retreated and ran past the leader into the woods. The leader got up, glared at me for about a second, and ran off into the woods. As I watched them run away, I put away my knives, walked over to my gun, and picked it up.

That was strange, why did they run away? Guess they knew they couldn't win.

I looked towards where the wolves ran off to. Right at the edge of the meadow was a 10 foot tall electric fence.

Bingo.

I walked up to the fence and put my ear an inch away from it. I didn't hear the humming that signaled that the electricity in it was on. I quickly climbed to the top of the fence and hopped over. I landed on my feet with a thud, not wasting time to run off into the woods, towards the building in the distance.

**********

Ten minutes later, I arived at the front entrance of the building. The doors had two armed guards infront of them. I wasted no time taking them out with the pistol. I quietly ran up to the double doors and took a keycard off one of the armed guards. I swiped the card in the card scanner and the double doors opened up infront of me. I ran into the building, surprising two more guards inside and taking them both out with the pistol before they could raise any alarm. I ran down the hall and took a flash grenade off my belt when I arived at a corner. After taking the pin out of the grenade and throwing it around the corner, I covered my ears and waited for the explosion. There were some muffled screams and then a loud BANG! I quickly turned the corner and ran past the many scientists lying on the floor, trying to figure out why they couldn't see or hear. Alarms went off soon after.

I continued down the halls until I reached the room I had been looking for: The main reactor room. If it wasn't for these stupid scientists using nuclear power for their labs, I wouldn't have been able to destroy them so easily. But I guess it's the easiest way to get enough power for their equipment while staying off the grid.

After I walked a few feet into the reactor room, the doors slid closed behind me. I quickly pulled out my pistol and spun around in one movement. What I saw surprised me, but I stayed on my guard. It was like looking in a mirror, except the other me was only wearing shorts and his eyes weren't golden-yellow. They were red, blood-red.

"So," I said, "They finally perfected cloning?"

"It wasn't that hard to get your DNA," my clone said, "You may win all your fights, but you never clean up after."

"Well the reactor normally takes care of that."

"You don't always fight near the reactor though."

"Are we going to fight or what? Isn't that what you were created to do?"

As soon as I said that, the clone ran straight towards me. I easily dodged it, but as soon as he got behind me, I felt a stinging pain in the side of my neck. My hand lingered up to my neck, but I already knew what it was. Once my hand got a grip on the syringe, I yanked it out and turned to face the clone.

"What the hell was in that syringe?!?!" I yelled.

"A special formula that our scientists were working on," he asnswered, "It forces the transformation on people with the gene."

The pain from the serum began to spread throughout my body, and it was unbearable. I was forced on my hands and knees from the pain. I could barely speak, but I managed to spit out through gritted teeth, "What about people without the gene?"

He kneeled down and whispered into my ear, "They die."

He stood up and took a step back. "But don't worry," he said, "We know it won't kill you, we know that you were the one that got away, and we know that you could have been perfect. So they created me, the perfect version of you. At least with this formula, we'll be on even ground."

There's nothing perfect about you. I thought as the transformation took place. My skin started sprouting dark brown fur, and the nails on my hands and feet turned black and enlongated. The bones in my body began to shift and change, the bones in my arms and legs shortening, my feet enlongating, and my hands shrinking. My teeth enlongated and became sharper, my nose and upper lip stretched out painfully about a foot, and my jaw dislocated and stretched out to meet it to form a snout. My ribs shifted, causing my chest to become more narrow but streched forward. My clothes had torn off from the change in my body size.

After a few more minutes of this pain, I looked just like one of the wolves I had defeated earlier this evening, but with dark brown fur and golden eyes. When I opened my eyes, they met a pair of red ones set into the body of a wolf with sleek, black fur. I realized then that he had went through the change while I was. I also realized that this was the same wolf that I had seen earlier: The leader of the pack.

So, they gave him his own pack? They didn't last long against me though.

He growled at me and I growled back. We slowly circled each other, baring our teeth and staring daggers into each other's eyes. He suddenly turned and leaped at me with his muzzle ready to take a bite out of me. I quickly dodged it and bit his shoulder hard enough to draw blood into my mouth. He turned his body, making me lose my grip on his shoulder, and he tried to bite into my neck. I dodge him again and then headbutted him in the chest. We rolled around on the floor snapping at each other's neck, but neither of us making progress. I finally pinned him down with me on top, my jaw around his neck, his head to the side knowing he had been defeated. I gave no mercy, biting down on his neck and puncturing his vital jugular vein. His blood poured out onto the floor, the life fading from his evil eyes along with it. I stayed on top of him until the life left his eyes completely.

When I was sure he was dead, I got off of him, walked over to my clothes, and picked up the access card in my mouth. I put my front paws up on the wall and slid the card through the scanner next to the door. When they opened up, I got off the wall and walked up to the reactor. I put my front paws up on the computer, swiped the card one last time, and lifted the glass case covering a red button. When I pressed the button with my paw, the screen displayed a timer set for five minutes and a warning alarm started playing throughout the building. I quickly turned and ran out of the room. I raced out of the building and was about half a mile away before the countdown reached zero. There was a loud explosion and a strong gust of hot air blew past me. Less than a minute later, I could hear sirens blaring, and they were steadily getting closer.

I guess I'd better find a place to hide until this serum wears off, if it even does wear off. If not, it's going to be a little tougher to take down the labs, but not impossible.
