Authors Note: 'ello all! I know it has been a while since I have posted something, that was mostly due to world of warcraft taking over my soul. but now I am back!

While this is just a teaser, the full first chappter is on its way and should be out shortly. (maby another week or two?)

Also I had an idea for this, If you want to come up with a testchamber for this story, I would be more than happy to put it in. (Either contact me here or at [email protected])

But enough of my rambiling, on to the thing you came here for, THE STORY!

****

"We here at Aperture Science Laboratories regret to inform *applicant name here*, that he is rejected." The words flashed before me, the incandescent glow of the monitor played across my burnt orange fur.

"However, we would like to inform you that a position is open In a different field. Would you like to accept?" A yes/no button appeared beneath the stated question.

I weighed my choices carefully. I could go through with it, and possibly encounter some of the "odd tests" that were rumored to come of working at Aperture Labs. On the other paw, if I didn't take them up on their offer, I would be out of a job, and with enough letters from the IRS to wallpaper the Empire State Building, I could use all the money I could get.

Several more seconds of indecision latter, I was beginning to think about opting out, when a screen change brought my full attention back to the monitor. A new query line had just been placed under the original.

"Learn more." It read.

Deciding that knowing more couldn't hurt; I brought my paw up and made a move to hit the "learn more" button. After all, knowledge is power.

(G-I-Joe!)

My claw was just about to tap learn more, when the screen flew backwards on an actuator and grabbing arm came back to fill its place. The arm was a metallic black, its servos humming and wires dangled like ghostly appendages from the thing. I tried jerking my arm backwards to get away from it, but failed. The grabber jumped to life and seized my arm in a flash, the fingers of the arm coated in a rubber substance to prevent chaffing and loss of limb.

"What the hell?!" I screamed, attempting to remove the offending implement.

I placed my free paw off to the side against the wall in an attempt to gain more leverage on the grabber. This was in vain, however, because all that caused was a system to trigger. Its sole purpose, as I would soon find out, was to pump a heavier-than-air sleeping gas.

My vision went blurry and I found that I lacked the strength, or balance, to stand. The world went dark soon after my ass hit the paved road.
