#1 of Ben And Justin: Our Stand

Author's notes - Yay! My first story with dialogue in it! Tell me what you guys think in the comments below. If its good, Ill continue with a series. -Many may believe this is another universe, if they had read my other story. It actually isn't. In the beginning, SIO was only mean to be a security force, allying themselves with the U.S. government against crime. This is how SIO started off: a simple organization using the primitive technology of today. They had modern weapons, modern technology, and modern strategies. Their vehicles, weapons, computers, etc, were all anything you can find today. It's also the same Earth, with the same inhabitants, except the words humans, and animals didn't exist. They were combined to create Furries by the all-powerful Universe. The only thing different you'll find is that Furries, not only different in looks, are also faster in evolution and intelligence. This is the 21st century. The Furries live in the 12th century. But I'm probably confusing you all. Onto the story!-

Amati City. The name, and the city itself, was the very definition of beautfiul. It was a shining example purity. As Ben looked down at the street, he began to ponder what it would be like to jump. To just end it all. But he shook the thoughts away. This was no time to suicide. He was being counted on.

He got up from his crouching position and walked over to his sleeping partner, Justin. "Hey, mate, wake up. It's time." He whispered as he shook him. Justin awoke abruptly. "Oh, hey. It is? About damn time." He got up with the help of Ben and walked over to the edge of the three story, yellow building they were on top of.

Ben and Justin were two very ordinary, yet very different canines. Ben was an Arctic Wolf, flown all the way over from the North Pole. His coat was snow white and quite mesmorizing to look at. His eyes were a blue-green that just could not be ignored. And his smile was quite often a friendly, misleading gesture he used to his advantage. He found it was too hot, no matter where he went in the United States. Even though he had an American accent, he often used a British accent when he was undercover. Justin was no where near that. He was a red fox, born in the city and raised as a courier. His coat was mostly red, but his paws and his tail's tip were white. His eyes were an intense brown with a natural, skeptical look. He hardly showed his teeth.

They both worked for an anti-terrorist organization called SIO. They were mostly scouts, being as agile and quick as they were. However, they were also involved in assasinations and other top-priority missions. They had been partners for years, and worked with no one else. Their bond had grown strong, almost to the point of brothers. But something prevented that... a secret Ben could hardly contain.

Ben cared for Justin, but not as a brother. He loved him, and he loved everything that Justin was. Every chance he got, he thought about Justin. He was perfect to Ben, a kind, charming fox with only good in his heart. But he knew it wasn't right. Not only was it against SIO's code to love another man, but he knew Justin was straight. There was no denying it.

"Let's get to work," Justin announced, interrupting Ben's thoughts, "we have much to do." He picked up his M4A1 and tossed it over his shoulder, the strap leaving it dangling."Right." Ben said, sighing. He grabbed his silenced M21 and followed Justin to the other building. They had setup a nice sniper nest, completely invisible to anyone below. Everything was hidden behind a large, concrete bar, and they did not worry about anyone dwelling above, as their associates had kept the sky clear with fake radio messages. They laid down just behind the bar, flattening themselves behind it, and waited.

Their mission today was an assasination of the boss of a Mexican mob that had caused many innocent deaths in raids, kidnappings, and weapon trafficking. He was scheduled to meet with a drug dealer in an abandoned warehouse, and Ben and Justin were waiting just on the other side of the two-lane street. Ben setup his sniper on a stand and peered through the scope, looking for any danger. Justin grabbed his binoculars and did the same. They were there for hours, looking for any sign of the Mexican boss.

After waiting a good four hours, they finally saw their target. A big, brown Grizzly Bear had just exited a cab and made his way over to the warehouse. Once he entered, the two waited for a few seconds before seeing him again, taking his seat at a table that just so happened to be next to a window. Ben put his mark on the bear. "Target sighted." He announced. Justin frowned. "I don't have him on scope. Where is he?" Ben chuckled. He was always the first to find a target, even though Justin was the spotter. "11 o'clock, second window on the left." Ben heard a few clicks from Justin's binoculars before hearing a confirmation from him. He aimed, and, with one pull of his trigger, the silenced whoosh of a bullet was heard before the bear collapsed and blood was splattered all over the wall.

He smiled. "Target eliminated. Better radio it in." He took his eye off the scope to see that Justin was heading back to his mat, obviously ignoring him. He sighed. "I guess I'll do it... again." Ben picked up his radio and contacted the base of operations. He reported the target was dead, and was given orders to pack up and go on back. He got up, as well, leaving his equipment behind and laid beside Justin on his mat, and fell asleep. "Command could wait," he thought, as he dozed off. "I haven't been able to sleep in ages."
