Choice(Balance)-Arc 2"Trust" part 9
Kay finally reached the roof,and looks around.But the brightly lit monn provided a certain illumination.Then...Waiting for him with his back turned.He saw a tall horned figure.With a cape,and a dark aura surrounding him.Kay glares at the figure for a while.He clenches his fists.
"I'm here."
Kay says in a quiet rage.The figure chuckles,still with his back turned.He then begins to speak.
"Gods....Are sometimes misguided and stubborn.But...When faced with a certain dilemma,it changes them in more ways than a single.I wonder...What is the confliction you and me are faced with.hat do we want out of this wretched life? Gods...Even when given power,they are vunerable to mistake...Tragic Is'nt it?"
Kay continued to listen to Lucifer's lecture,and was still trying his best to control his anger.Lucifer turns to look at Kay with soul-piercing red eyes.He stopped grinning and glared at the frustrated boy.
"So now i ask you Kay.What is it that you feel is best? For the world you live in? The life you've chosen? The people...You protect?"
Lucifer's chilling question just made Kay grit his teeth,but he still kept his cool.He finally spoke.
"Your death...Your death will end the conflict once and for all!!"
Kay screeches at Lucifer.
"End the conflict?"
Lucifer chuckles.
"If only it were that simple.The world is being constantly pulled on by the 2 opposing forces: Heaven and Hell.There's no peace,no altruism in this pitiful powerstruggle.However.There is a way to bring balance.You,Kay.Your powers have'nt fully awakened yet...So..I take it upon myself,to destroy everything you believe in.And the people who give you comfort.As a god,not such things are needed.If that means having to kill my son as well,who you seem to be so fond of....Then so be it."
Lucifer finishes,and glares at Kay even further.Kay could'nt listen anymore.He snapps and charges at Lucifer at full speed.He delpoyed his wing into a fist to land a blow but Lucifer catches it.They stare at eachother intensely.Lucifer kicks him back with ease,and sends Kay flying.Kay snarls at the tyrant who stood as still as a statue.Kay tosses a few waves of flame at him,but Lucifer stood still.He grins.
"Black flames....That is very interesting."
He says as he catches the waves and repells it back.
"You've gotta be kidding me."
Kay says as he blocks the waves which were thrown back at him.He deployed his wing quickly to block it and succeeded.But barely.Kay opened his eyes,and in an instant,Lucifer was in front of him.Kay quickly tries to back away,but it was too late.Lucifer had him in his grip.As he was helpless in the chokehold,Kay tried his best to free himself but Lucifer's grip remained tight around his neck.Lucifer lifts up his hand and it begins to flame up.In horror,Kay struggles some more,trying to get away.
"It's over."
Lucifer says.Kay closed his eyes,and was angry at how helpless he was.
"No...Not here...Am I...Gonna die here?...Alan..Kyle...Everyone...I.."
Kay says within himself.Then something singed Lucifer's hand,forcing him to let go of Kay.He stares in wonder of this.Kay was shown with both his wings once again,embued in black flames,and with red tears.Lucifer continues to stare.
"So...This is your true power? Quite unique,I must say."
He says in delight.Back downstairs in the grand hall,Alan felt a sharp pain in his chest,and looked up in worry.He felt a very dark pressence,and was immediatly familiar with it.
"Kyle?...Something is wrong...It can't be....Kay is in danger.I have to go!!"
Alan says.
"Alan wait!! Damn it."
Kyle says as he chases after him.Alan rushed to the roof as fast as he could.
"Kay.Please don't tell me you're doing what I think you're doing.Kay...Hold on!!"
He says as he kept running to the roof.Kay's wings formed a massive ball of black energy to fire it at Lucifer.Lucifer stood,amazed by this and opened his hands.His hands began to flame up,and looks at Kay with delighted eyes.
"Now....Allow me to test this power of yours.The power that sleeps within you."
He says.But Kay stood in a silent rage,ready to obliterate the demonic tyrant.Their energies created a small quake that shook around the entire estate.It felt like it was going to collapse any minute.Alan reached the roof and was shocked by what he saw.He gaps,and stared in horror at the powerstruggle that was transpiring.
"Kay...No."
He says,in a worried voice.Kyle shows up behind Alan,and was shocked as well.
"KAY!! Listen!! If you release that enegry now,it will kill us all!! You have to stop it,NOW!!"
He shouts at Kay.Kay glanced at Alan and looked ashamed.
"A...Alan...I."
He says,still holding onto the engergy.Lucifer glares,and put his arms back to release his blast.
"Don't...HESITATE!!!"
He says as he fires.
"NO!!"
Kyle shouts.Class shows up in a rush.
"Hold on tight you guys!!"
She says as she deploys her wing.She teleported everyone on the roof out of the blast in time and it missed.Lucifer stood quietly at the turn of events,and ponders this.
"Hmmm...It would seem you have avoided death yet again Kay...We shall meet again.Hopefully,in a different light."
He vanishes in a chilling laugh that echoed trought the night.
