This is a quick overview on the leadership abilities and preferences between Ronald and Ian Fastolf.

Under Ronald:

Freedom of religion strained. "Religion... Another word for poisoning of the mind." - Ronald Fastolf

Freedom of speech enhanced, and made far more liberal.

Emancipation. All Valtovkian citizens are released from serfdom.

Army conscription age limit reduced to seventeen.

Army conscription rate quadrupled.

Military casualties doubled.

Overall quality of life drastically improved.

City and regional officials are now elected by the local populace every five years.

Happiness among the Valtovkian princes causes a massive democratic push thru the entire nation, civil liberties abound.

The Gray Watch founded as a guard for the higher ranking officials. They are mostly composed of older veterans, no longer fit for field duty.

The capital city of Islagrad becomes one the best places to live and work. But is also infamous for the brutality of its police force.

Under Ian:

Freedom of speech strained.

Freedom of religion restored. "I really don't care what people believe. Just pay your damn taxes." - Ian Fastolf

The Gray Watch becomes a far more sinister arm of the government. The world sees its first genetically altered soldiers, while they may be few in number, it would be very unwise to take them lightly.

A horrific return: Shockingly, crucifixion makes a comeback under Ian. And its every bit as gruesome as it was in the past. It's usually only used to make an example out of someone.

"Fastolf Academy Of Leadership" founded for all those ambitious officers, and fursons of interest. "Good ol' fashioned brainwashing" - A concerned citizen.

Islagrad surprisingly becomes a street racing hot spot. The police have very little luck stopping the well tuned vehicles. If the chase goes on for too long, the military simply sends a Mi-24 Hind helicopter, and decimates the vehicle or vehicles, once it's in a safe area. Quite a show.

The princes back off: While the princes of the land were united under Ronald, Ian's policies tend to favor the Fastolf's and the princes are wary that he may intend to claim their lands, as his. So most drop the Fastolf Star as their emblem, and instead return to their individual coat of arms. But the country still remains united.

He's Watching: The government starts a propaganda campaign, posting giant pictures of Ian, or other family members, glairing down on the general public.

Unification, and happiness: Despite Ian's rough edges, Valtovka thrives under his rule, and civil liberties still abound. The military rarely has to conscript, because there is such an aura of patriotism, and a sense of duty, furs flock to it. Valtovka has suffered long, and has been made to look like a fool on many occasions. The people love the Fastolfs, they brought them something they haven't had for many years. Inner peace and a sense of finally being whole.

"If you tell a son of the Valtovkan hills, that his death will ensure his country's unification. He will gladly throw himself on his sword. Just to know that his children may live a normal life." - Ronald Fastolf
