#2 of The Love they Shared

Same warning as last time, mostly strong language in this one. Disclaimer:As you can tell, I really like to use music to set the mood for different moments in the story. I highly recomend the bands and songs and take no credit in their formation. Also on a side note, the story becomes very, very interesting in the upcoming parts so I hope you enjoy :)

The Love They Shared (Part 2)

What else should I be? All apologies,What else could I say? Everyone is gay, What else could I write? I don't have the right, What else should I be? All apologies...

October 6, 2010 Mid Afternoon

"What the hell is he mumbling about?"

"I don't know something about apologies?"

"Oh, haha it's too late, WAY to late for them haha"

For Frank, Nirvana's All Apologies was not only a favorite song of his but it also ironically fit his situation. Frank did not realize it, but he was actually singing the song in his unconsciousness. Squinting at the sun beam that was shining in his face he could feel it warmth flow over all the pain going all throughout his head. He attempted to roll over, but his head had other plans for him. As Frank started to come around, a tall shadowy figure approached him and slapped him in the face,

"Hey Faggot are you up yet?"

It was that low voice again.

"Ugh...Fuck you John..."

At that John punched Frank square in the stomach. Gasping, Frank tried to roll over but he felt something holding his hands and feet in place. There was a worn and uncomfortably tight leather belt bound around his feet and wrists. Just then John started barking orders to what Frank thought was nothing.

"Lift him up and put him on that branch over there."

John pointed to a low fat broken branch that hung about a foot of the ground. At this point Frank was now wide awake and could tell where he was. He could see the faded tan bricks of the school only a couple of yards from the tree line. Frank was behind the school in the woods. He could smell cigarette smoke and could see the cigarette butt in John's mouth. This was a popular smoking spot, away from the prying eyes of other students and teachers. Just then two big guys walked out of the shadows from his right side. John must have been giving orders to these two figures. Frank recognized them from the football team but not by name. The figures stooped over Franks head and feet and picked him up about two feet off the ground. They walked with him about ten feet over and lifted him up onto the branch destined by John. Hanging by the belt loop around his wrists Frank was unable to stop what was about to come next. John approached him,

"I must say you got balls hitting me like that, but guess what?" He had a sadistic look in his eyes, like he was about to enjoy what he was going to do to the poor husky. "I going to beat..." Before he could finish, Frank interrupted,

"what the hell is stopping me from telling others what you do to me once you're done?" Frank thought he was protected by his words, but he was only making matters worse, and that was the wrong thing to say, really, really wrong.

There was an evil Cheshire cat grin that ran ear to ear across the bulldogs face. The drool was pooling in the corners of his mouth.

"As I was saying, I am going to beat the ever loving shit out of you. That means I'm going to beat the fear of tattling on me into you. I you do say anything, thing could happen over and over and over again. Haha!" "Keep watch for teachers boys."

With that said he began his grueling work....

What Frank felt was a series of punches to his face, chest, stomach and diaphragm. Felt kicks to the stomach and a few "Low blows" as well. What seemed like hours of agony were only minutes for Frank. He could barely hear the bull dog bark some orders to his cronies to leave and he got face to face with Frank. He put his mouth next to Frank's ear and spoke in a low menacing manner,

"Now remember what I said about squealing on me kid. You have no proof anyhow so I'm not worried ha! Now be a good pup and lay down!"

With that, John removed the belts from around Frank's feet and hands. Frank hit the ground with a Thud and lay sprawled out on the dirt. Then John smiled and put the cigarette out in the center of Franks back. The whole time John told Frank to not scream or make a sound or he would make it worse, but this was too much.

"AaaagHAGHAGHHAHH!!!!" Frank screamed and bit into the ground in front of him to quiet him self.

"Huh, you're tough for a wimp." With that said John called his goons and walked away.

Frank just laid there in the dirt in a pool of nose blood and tears. Now that John was gone he could just let it all out. He let the pain flow out in the form of loud sobs of anguish. He knew he had no proof and no way to get any justice for his situation. John beat him up before, but that was child's play compared to this. This was like organized crime violence, Mafia style. He didn't have a hope in the world...

Just then he heard a rustling I the woods and he instantly tensed up.

"J-J-John, stay the fuck away from me please!"

Frank wiggled his way back to the tree when he saw someone walking by. They stopped and started walking toward him. Frank was wiping tears and blood out of his eyes as fast as he could to see who was in front of him. He could not believe what he was seeing; it was Aaron looking confused and worried. He didn't want Aaron to see him in this condition.

"Uh... do you need any help, you look pretty bad."

For the first time ever, Aaron spoke to somebody and it was Frank. Frank wished it was under better circumstances, but at least he spoke to him.

"I-I...you...your speaking to me?"

"Yeah, you look like you could really use some help."

"But all day I've been...a-and the locker room..."

Frank started to tear up again but this time Aaron walked over and picked him up off the ground. He was even more beautiful in Franks half dazed state and his hands were so warm. Frank had not realized it but he was smiling and Aaron gave him a puzzled look.

"Are you ok? And what's that burning smell?"

Frank reached around his back with a sore paw and felt around the area that the cigarette had been put out. He could feel the hole burned through his shirt and rough burned skin that was the wound. Frank winced a little when he touched it and Aaron took notice.

"Hey, you seem in pretty bad shape, we should get you to the nurse she should still be here."

Frank's mind went into overdrive as he suddenly remembered his mothers note about the dentist. "Oh no, what time is it?!"

"Um...2:55, hey you just got beaten really badly I think you should-?" Frank cut him off abruptly.

"I have to be somewhere important at 3:15 with my mother. Damn it! How am I going to get there in twenty minutes on foot?"

For the first time, Aaron decided to do something to help this poor, beaten Husky. He had a car.

"Umm...look I could give you a ride in my car, but we should clean you up before we get you to where ever you need to go. Are you sure you don't need medical attention?"

Franks heart was about to erupt with joy. He smiled at the lion and said "No I'm used to it, let's just go into the bathroom and ill get cleaned up."

Frank search around for a minute and found his backpack and things undisturbed laying against an opposite tree about ten feet away. Collecting his stuff, Aaron helped move Frank to the bathroom, helped the husky clean any cuts and make any facial bruising less noticeable. Frank loved having Aaron touch his face. He had fine, soft hands that were so gentle. Frank felt safer just being around him.

"It's three O'clock now, if we leave now depending on how far away it is, I think I can get you to where you need to be on time."

"Ok let's go I feel fine."

With that they ran out to Aaron's car. Frank was surprised; Aaron had a pretty nice car. It was not anything super special, but it was in great condition. It was a radiant gold Ford Focus. It had tan upholstery and the inside of the car smelled like fresh mint. Frank climbed in and Aaron started the car.

"Where to?" Aaron asked flatly

"Over to Concord Village Plaza, it just up the road from here I'll point you there. Ill text my mom an excuse and say Ill meet her there."

With that being said, they took off following the directions pointed out by Frank. Aaron took out his ipod and hooked it up to the speakers and started to blast Room a Thousand Years Wide by Soundgarden. "No way...has he likes Soundgarden?! I wonder what else he likes." Frank thought to himself.

"Hey, Frank's phone lit up, "My mom texted me, she says just to make sure I'm there so I guess its O.K with her." Frank knew by the bluntness of the message she was pissed.

"Why are you lying about what happened to your mother?" Frank felt ashamed that he had to lie to his own mother but he had to explain what he was told to Aaron.

"John said he would make it ten times worse than today if I said anything to anyone..."

Frank could see the look of troubled guilt flash across Aaron's silken facial features.

"This has happened before, but I just learned to deal with it. Besides," Frank had a vexed look on his face. "I never have any proof besides my wounds, but they heal and its like it never happened." Frank looked down at his feet.

Aaron thought to himself for a minute and then gave sort of a half smile without taking his eyes off the road. Changing the topic, Frank then asked him about the music.

"I love Soundgarden too, what other bands do you like?"

Aaron looked at him with a soft smile before answering.

"I love a lot of bands. I mainly listen to Core bands, but I do like 90's stuff and some 80's songs are good too. Some favorites of mine are Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, Tool, The Used, The Pixies..."

"You like, just stole all my favorite bands from my mind dude."

Both furries at this time were cracking up in the car about their all too similar musical tastes. Soon there was a pause in the conversation and Frank used this time to ask the real question that had been eating at him since Aaron picked him up off the ground.

"Um, Aaron can I ask you something?"

Aaron looked over and nodded before looking back towards the road. Franks voice quivered a little bit as he spoke in a slow unremitting manner.

"Um, why did you help me, I don't really even know you?" Aaron looked appalled by this comment, so Frank continued while talking to his feet.

"Where did you go after the locker room incident and why did you help me, I mean how did you even find me?"

Aaron paused, pulled the car over to the side of the road and put it in park. Frank felt really uncomfortable as the lion looked him straight in the eyes. He was sure he was going to regret saying that.

"I-I mean thank y-you for the help and all but-." Frank was cut off by a hand motion of Aarons that told him to stop talking. He began to speak...

"You're asking why I helped you?! You think because it's my first day and I don't know anyone means that I won't help anyone!? Ungrateful..." He was starting to become red with anger. "After what happened in the locker room I decided I was done with school for the day so I went out behind the school to listen to my music and relax." Frank looked terrified and Aaron could see it in his eyes. "I saw that bully um...John and his friends and I hid. They hit you with a tree branch and dragged you off behind the school into the woods." He paused for a moment and sighed, the color fading fast from his cheeks. "I started walking off toward the parking lot but...I couldn't just leave after seeing that. I knew something bad was going to happen if I left." Frank looked pale. Aaron continued, "I came back and I found you tied to the tree and here we are." Before Frank could speak Aaron asked the dreaded question. "Why the hell would you even ask? I should be asking you what you were doing in the locker room. I've seen you look at me in every class that we have had today and you freaked out when that asshole bully said you were looking at my ass. I should be the one questioning you! So, were you staring at my junk in the locker room or what!?" Frank was horrified and his mind could not take it anymore. He just broke down, tears started to flow from his face and all he could say was a lie that he managed to make pour from his lips.

"no...No....NO I wasn't...it's not like that...I....you just seemed like a nice kid and in need of someone to talk to..."

Frank was in full sob as he finished his sentence. As he wept, Aaron sat perfectly still blankly staring at the open stretch of paved suburb road in head of him. He had that look of guilt again on his muzzle and grimaced at the sobbing Husky in the passenger seat. He started the car again and went back on driving to the destination. Aaron had just moved to the area, but he was already starting to get the layout of the area and in know time he pulled into the plaza where the dentist was located. He paused, turned to the mass of sobbing fur in the seat next to him and wiped the tears from Frank's eyes with a tissue he produced from the glove compartment. Frank looked up puzzled.

"You know, you were the only person today who showed me kindness and I just freaked out on you. I think you have been through enough today and I'm just making it worse. I fell silly, but I didn't even catch your name."

Frank looked up and gave a curt smile before replying "Frank Decanis" Aaron replied with "Aaron Davidson."

"Look, I'm so sorry he did that to you and I think I owe it to you to help you nail that creep. I think I have a plan that should work." Meet me behind the school tomorrow after school where we were today, and don't sweat the locker room thing o.k.? I believe you friend."

Frank swore he heard his heart through his chest. Aaron had just called him "friend" that one word made all the pain he had suffered earlier that day worth while. With that thought, Aaron backed up out of the parking lot and sped out of there down the street.

Frank could not believe what just happened. Did Aaron actually believe him and he was going to help him with his John problem? This was too good to be true. Realizing the time, Frank reached into the small front pocket of his backpack and pulled out a small compact mirror with cover up in it. Frank had his share of run-ins with John, so he kept the small mirror on his person at all times. As he looked into the mirror he could see the black eyes that he had. He quickly applied a heavy layer of makeup to his face, brushed off his shirt and jeans and walked into the dentist office. It was 3:25 when Frank walked into the dentist office. His mother sat in the corner of the doctor's office with her long brown hair covering her face as she read through a magazine. She looked up when she heard the shuffle of feet at the door a had a scowl on her face.

"Where the hell have you been? I was starting to get worried something happened."

Frank hated lying to his parents, but under the circumstances he was always in, he became good at telling fast lies.

"Oh, umm...I had to stay after to make up some work and I got a ride with a new friend."

The grey wolf raised a thin brown eyebrow when she heard that last part.

"A new friend? And who might that be?"

She new that her son did not have too many friends and was some what taken back when he said he made a new one.

"His name is Aaron and..." That's when he realized he really did not know anything about Aaron other than his name and what he looked like.

Before he could catch himself, the dentist came out and chuckled, "Your finally hear hey Frank?"

Frank spun around and laughed, "Yes Dr. Zimmerman, I had some school stuff."

"Well then, come on back and we can get you taken care of."

Frank wanted to run up and hug the doctor for his awesome life saving timing.

Frank went into the back room and could already feel the tools scraping his already sore mouth. All he thought to himself was "Pleasant"...

The ride home was so silent Frank could hear the clicking on the speedometer. His mother had known better than to pry into his business and did not ask Frank to finish describing Aaron. She had a name and that was good enough for her. Frank went in and went up to the bathroom to nurse his hidden wounds. When he took off his shirt he had more bruises than he could count. He put muscle relaxant on the knots in his muscles and went through his night like nothing had happened. He hid his shirt until he could patch up the burned hole later. It was only when he went to bed latter that night that he thought about what Aaron said and how on Earth he was going to tell him how he truly felt. "What have I gotten my self into?"
