Anthro- felicity chapter 1: light in the darkness
Swift stopped for a moment to rest up against a nearby tree where it provided a small amount of cover from the rain that had been pouring down since sundown. Swift found himself in the middle of a forest with a dressing gown which was drenched along with his fur because his mate, the one person he loved threw him out with literally nothing. His eyes bloodshot from crying so much, he shivered violently with a whine as he got off the tree and started to walk aimlessly through the bone chilling wind and rain in darkness with only sorrow and loneliness to follow.
He pulled the gown tighter to his body even though both his fur and gown were completely drenched but it still offered a small amount of protection from the wind which hissed through the trees slamming into the drenched husky. For the next hour he spent wandering through the forest in a random direction, to hurt to think about how bad the situation was, the only thing he was thinking of was. Why...what did I do to deserve this? He drew in a cold shaky breath before wiping rain droplets from the end of his muzzle.
After another fifteen minutes the husky started to worry, cold, exhausted and hurt he didn't really care what were to happen to him, he lost whom he loved and was literally tossed from the house, as he dwelled on this, his foot paw caught a root and he tripped falling muzzle first into the mud, completely covering his muzzle and seeping through the gown onto his front. He crawled slowly to a nearby tree as the rain pelted his back, he settled by a tree and curled up into a ball and cried until it seemed darkness seemed to be closing around him seeping energy, sorrow anger was just slipping away "just for a minute..."he said as he closed his eyes
Swift awoke to see a fox staring down at him "are you ok?"Swift tried to sit up but was stopped with a firm paw in the chest from the fox. He looked round to find he was in a cabin but at least it was warm, he laid back down and diverted his gave back to the fox who was slender wearing jeans and shirt as he trailed up the fox he met his eyes and as he did all the questions he had just melted away as he looked into the blue sparkling eyes which looked back "you look like you had a rough night"
"Yes....you could say that"
The fox had a bowl in his lap and was letting the flannel inside it soak up the hot water, and then he lifted it up over the bowl and squeezed it
"May I?"
"Yea, sure," the husky replied as he looked into the foxes eyes. The fox started to gently dab the washcloth on his muzzle, wiping the dirt that had become encrusted on the fur as he continued to clean the husky up. For a few seconds they both just sat there, a little nervous about each other until finally Swift worked up enough nerves to ask a question. "What's your name?"
The fox giggled lightly under his breath before replying, a paw coming up to rest against his lips as he grinned happily back to the other canine. "I was going to ask you the same question Mr." He went back to dabbing the husky's muzzle, one paw holding onto the dog's chin while the other dabbed about to clean off the mud. He dipped the cloth back in the water to soak up more of the warm liquid before continuing to clean the husky he had found the night before. "It's Red," he said slowly.
The husky sat there smiling as the fox gently finished up cleaning his muzzle, the fox wiped off the last bit of incrusted mud off his muzzle before placing the washcloth back into the water and placed the bowl in the bed side table. Red sat down and smiled warmly at the canine that lay in his bed "well that's your muzzle cleaned up..."red said still sat in the chair overlooking the husky
"Well thanks red..." the husky sighed "I'm...Swift"
They both sat there for a moment in silence a bit unsure how to approach each other, then red got up leaning on the arch of the back rest of the chair "if you like...I could run you a bath...you could do with a wash" he said grinning as he returned the chair so it was leaning against the wall
"Well...if that's ok" the husky said lifting up the covers to find his gown covered with encrusted mud all up his front and no doubt up the back to.
With that the fox opened a door and stuck his head out of the doorway "won't be two seconds" the fox said then disappeared into the room which was soon followed by a sound of splashing water .during the period of time the fox was gone swift sat up in the bed and waited, thoughts of last night still ran through his mind "come on, I'm alive, and it doesn't seem so bad here nice fox, very nice in fact" he told himself as he started to day dream about the fox.
A few minutes later red appeared from what swift guessed as the bathroom, steam followed the fox out as he reopened the door "ok...your bath is ready...and I've left a few towels in there for you...take as long as you need, il change the bedding when you're in" the fox said smiling down to the mucky husky.
"Thanks...I don't know how to thank you red...You...you've done so much for me...Id" the husky couldn't finish the sentence as he found a paw had come to rest against his lips, preventing him from continuing, he nearly blushed through his face fur "look swift...all I want you to do is get well...now go get your tail in that bath" the fox said with a giggle.
The husky got up giggling and gave the fox a playful growl as he walked passed "it's good to see you have a sense of humor"red said starting to remove the bedding.
He padded into the bathroom shutting the door with a dull thud as he entered and sighed happily then looked down to the piece of fabric holding the gown together, he easily undid it and slowly slid off the dressing gown and went over to the bath and felt the hot waft of steam drift into his muzzle "this is nice" he said as he ran a paw slowly through the water watching the ripples disappear.
He lowered his body into the bath taking a breath as the water ran over his sheath, once he lowered himself into it he sat forward looking down into the water. Slowly he closed his eyes exhaling as he tried to relax as the warm water soaked his fur, he could help but think of the last night, the shouting, crying, and pleading from the night before. He couldn't control himself as the emotions overtook him making it seem like it just happened again sniffed but tried to stop himself which proved useless as he started to cry silently.
Red was just flattening the covers out as he heard crying in the bathroom, then he quickly finished what he was doing "swift...are you ok in there?" he said leaning against the frame
"Y...Yeh, I'm ok" "ok then...just shout if you need anything ok?"There was no reply so red shrugged and padded over to the pile of dirty bedding and picked it up, then he heard much louder crying from the bathroom, then he dropped the bedding and jogged over "swift?"There was no reply just crying "swift?!"He said more urgently, and then he opened the door slowly and saw the husky with moist mud up his back arched forward sobbing into his paws, he slowly shut the door "swift...?"He said gently as he approached the naked canid, he took a seat on the edge and slowly placed his paw on his shoulder "come here..." he said looking down on his back hoping he could somehow comfort the crying canid.
He turned around and saw the fox, and then he opened his arms which the fox hoped he would. They sat there hugging as swift cried on reds shoulder "hey...Its ok, just let it out ok",they held that pose till swift pulled away blushing looking into the foxes sparkling blue eyes, red reached up and wiped away the remaining tears "you ok now?" "Yeh...Just a bit...just trying to forget" he said with a sigh, "il leave you if you want" "you can stay if you want...but I doubt you want to see me naked" "well that's that all entirely true" with that the husky turned round so his back was facing the fox "I'm muddy...wana help, an it's also down my front but that's if you want to lend a paw "with that the fox leant down to grab a wash cloth and dabbed it into the water and started to rub at the huskies back.
He couldn't control himself, his sheath started to swell as the fox worked on his back, ever so slowly he could feel his tip poke free from his sheath, he couldn't deny it he liked the fox but he didn't want to stop him as he worked ever so gently on his tail. "Oh crap he's going to do my front" he thought as the fox patted his lower back "I'm all done back here...turn around husky butt" he said submerging the flannel and twisting it to rid it of too much water, with a sigh he turned round to face the fox blushing brightly through his face fur. Instead of a reaction the fox leant forward to rub his chest quickly but still getting him clean, then he stopped just above his sheath "I'm sorry red...I couldn't control myself" "shhh shh its ok, just let me help you relax" he said starting to rub swifts sheath gently, as a reaction he started to spread his legs as red worked on his sheath longer than any part of him.
