*The Darkness Within *
Standing by the rocks on the beach I watch the great waves smash against them with such might, spraying the air around me with sparkling droplets of the sea as they are caught in the radiant light of the sun as it drifts over the sky. The aroma of the sea makes me take in deep breaths of that wonderfully sent. The gulls calling to the sea and the roar of the waves fills the air with such grace and wonder. Being at such a place make me feel so alive, so relaxed and full of hope for what the day can bring... but... something just dent feel right...
Standing there I feel something, something missing... something from my heart and soul. I feel as though... as if I am hollow, nothing inside of me as I look around me. A dark feeling creeps over me slowly, so slowly as ice sets to a lake in the cold of winter, that coldness coming from my very centre and flows over my body until it fills my very being... Nobody is there to share such beauty with me, nobody to relish in the memory of being together in such a magical moment. The feeling of loneliness is so heartbreaking, to know that nobody is next to you, that you can't hold them close and feel the warmth of love flow into you, banishing that darkness from and filling you with such warm grace... What I would give for such a moment, to feel the soft caressing touch of love on my heart, to make feel like I could fly though the clouds to heavens above with my love beside me for all eternity...
Until that moment can come, it is so hard to enjoy such beauty. As the Sea gives of such a show of natures glory and grace, with soaked fur and tears roll down my face as I turn away and walk down the sandy beach. One painful step at a time... Hoping that one day I can find that special someone... my true love....
