Choice(Balance)-Arc 2"Trust" part 6
Kay,and the others met at Doctrene's place again to talk about the urgent problem.
"There appears to be some strange disappearences,and happenings on the other side of town."
Doctrene states.
"Think it's got somethin to do with Lucifer?"
Buch asks.
"Hm.It must be."
Kay says,certain of himself.
"I've witnessed multiple portals spawning on that side,so Kay is correct."
Doctrene says.
"So what do we do?"
Alan asks.
"What else? We go over there to see what the buzz is about."
Kay says.Kyle flicks his glasses.
"Yes.And since there will be demons there,we have to be on our guard."
He says,grimly.
"This does'nt sound so tough.Let's get to it."
Class says in an upbeat tone.Doctrene nodds his head.
"Very well.Then let's take the train to the Eastern side of town.Let's move."
Doctrene states.They then leave to go catch the train out.They went to the Eastern District of Cade city,and it was alot bigger than the western side.The train stopped in front of a darkened,and deserted street...It was silent,and there was no life heard around for miles,but there were still some street lights on.
"Wow,it's ridiculously dark here."
Class says.They all look around,and still saw no one.But Kyle notices lights inside of some houses.
"No kidding.But I still see lights on in some houses.Then there must be some residence here."
Kyle says.Alan started feeling multiple presences from afar.He opened his eyes.
"And should stay inside.I sense demons everywhere."
He says.
"Let's be careful."
Doctrene says.
"By the way,Class.How are you gonna defend yourself?"
Kay asks.Class,chuckles,and turns around for a sec,to reveal a rapier sheath on the back of her side.
"You did'nt think I would'nt come prepared do you? Come on Kay,I'm smarter than that."
She says,smuggingly.Kyle grins.
"You never told me you were an expert swordsman."
He says.Class giggles.
"It's a turn on huh?"
She responds.
"If you 2 are done.Let's continue."
Doctrene says.Alan looks confused.
"Hey Kay.What's a turn on?"
He asks.
"Nothing.Let's just move."
Kay states.They then explored the deserted,and quiet streets to clear out the demons.They encountered multiple hordes of demons that flooded the streets,but eventually they were able to wipe them out.
"Whew.That's done."
Class says.
"No problem."
Buch says.
"They were relentless,but we managed."
Kyle says.
"Alright,we did it guys!!"
Alan says,happily.
"Let's head back."
Kay says.They started to walk back to the train to return to the main district,but then there was a loud roar.Everyone turned around and saw a giant demon flying above them,getting ready to attack.They all stared in awe at the demon's size.
"Holy crap!!"
Buch shouts.
"This thing is pretty large.Damn it."
Kay says.Class draws her rapier.
"Well you know what they say: the bigger they are,the harder they fall."
She says.Kyle flicks his glasses,and stands ready as well.
"Somehow,I knew you were gonna say that."
He says.Everyone else stood ready to fight.Kay drew his wing.
"Looks like it'll be hard to MAKE it fall from the looks of it."
He says.
"Here it comes!!"
Doctrene shouts as the large demon lundged at them.The large demon was,indeed hard to knock down.They had more trouble with distance than anything else.Kyle helped with this,and was able to catch the demon easily with magic.Everyone else waited for an opening to attack when it was on the ground.After a long tussle,they finally got rid of it.
"Alright!! It's down for the count."
Kay says,proudly.
"That was nothin."
Buch says.
"You think maybe that thing was the cause of the strange disappearences?"
Kyle says.
"Highly likely.It also could've been the demons working solo.Either way,this side of town should be safe for now."
Doctrene says.
"Yep.So let's head home."
Alan says,cheerfully.
"Well guys,job well done."
Kyle says.Class holds onto his arm like they were on a date.
"Ohh.You're so cute when you talk like a leader."
She says.Kay chuckles.
"Got your hands full,huh Kyle?"
He says in a teasing way.
"I don't wanna hear that coming from you."
Kyle says with a grin.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Kay,and Alan both respond.Doctrene chuckles.
"Alright.Let's return to the main district."
He states.Kay nodds.
"Right."
He responds.They head back to the train,and parted ways in front of the train.As they all went their seperate ways back home,Kay looks like he missed something.
"Crap!! I forgot we had school tomorrow."
He says,freaking out.Alan giggles.
"Guess we should get some sleep then."
He says,smiling.
"Oh,man."
Kay says in a groan.As they left,there was a demon spying on Kay,and Alan.
"Hmph...Guess that was'nt enough."
It says,then disappears.
