_ LIFE OF WOLVES: CHAPTER 1 _
It was a cool night, the stars all shone down upon a small forest that had maybe a few acres of green trees and multiple paths. At the edge of the forest lay a house which had an extensive back yard and the only light was a fire at the very edge. The fire crackled and spit fire and smoke in all directions, it was a cold night for april as the boys gathered around the fire for certain reasons; one because of the cool night air that surrounded them as they waited outside of their leaders backyard, two Oliver a rotwiler their leader had told them to wait for his arrival. As if on cue the fire shrank and then exploded up into the air as the forest stirred behind them. Out came Oliver with beady red eyes short black fur with a brown underbelly and fangs like knives. The group winced at his presence, hense why he was top dog, the alpha male, the fire showed only mere glimpses of the other members of the group, but yet enough to tell they were all wolves; some as black as the night sky, some sandy, while most were grey wolves with white underbellies, and they all were ripped.
Whispers began while Oliver just gave his death stare to all of the members ensuring all were present, then in a deep and quiet voice Oliver spoke,
"Gentlemen, gentlemen. My brothers, if you knew the reason I gathered you here you would not gossip while our schools are made unsafe and our locker rooms desecrated."
"Then please Olly, speak." Commented a rather large sandy wolf named Jake, Oliver's closest friend and the only one who can call him _Olly. _
"As you are well aware homos are being welcomed into our school with this new program. I have contacted the principle, and rest assured he is unpleased, but will not forbid the program to continue." Oliver paused for a moment.
"We will find these FAGS and make examples of them, closing the program on their ocord."
"So, we are just going to beat anyone involved in the program." Whispered a grey wolf.
"No." Oliver responded.
"We, are going to find out who's in the closet and make him wish he was dead, then all the queers will not want to come here because of cruelty towards the gays. Thats how we scare them off."Oliver concluded.
Then the meeting came to a close and to symbolize the conversation being over, Oliver poured water over the fire then retreated to the forest, soon followed by the rest of the pack.

Lupo was in grade ten and by every definition a chick magnet, but for some reason never dated. He was a wolf with silvery fur and pale blue eyes that almost matched his fur that shined in the sun, he was muscular, nowhere near being ripped but he could hold his own in a fight. As was his nature from being made fun of in grade school for various things, including being a "fag". But those days were behind him now, all through grade nine everyone forgot to insult him and soon forgot those days entirely, but now it was different because he himself, was beginning to think he was gay. He did know others who were made fun of for actually dating a guy but they never had to fight people for the right to go to school like he did, probably because both of them were track runners with bodies that showed why they won most events. Throughout all of the elementary fights Lupo grew some trust issues so as a result he only liked to hang out with a few people overall; Adam a kangaroo and Mario a horse, however behind closed doors he would talk to the only gay couple he knew; Nathan a tan lizard and Santolo another lizard but more blueish purple, but he didn't hang out with them in school though because of the fear of being made fun of again.
Lupo walked down the stairs to lunch, the stairwell was empty so when he saw Nathan coming up he felt safe to say hi as they passed, then continued down stairs to meet up with Adam and Mario. Unseen by both boys Oliver then proceeded to come out of the shadows and stare hungrily at Lupo, when Jake opened the door,
"What you staring at boss?" Jake asked.
"Our first blood Jake, our first kill."
Lupo was satisfied with the day at school, it went by without a hitch, no pop quiz, no assignments, and barely even any homework. Lupo couldn't wait to sit down in front of the computer and search around. Upon turning the corner on his street he could already see the caution tape outside his house, he felt his heart skip a beat, what had happened. He started running to his house at full speed then stopped at the tape unsure what to do,
"You live here son?" Asked a lion in a cop uniform.
A lump caught in his throat refused to let him answer so he just nodded and looked at the officer,
"What happened?" He managed to choke out.
"Early this morning, I'd say around 8o'clock somebody broke into the house figuring everyone left for work, and when he found your family there..." He trailed off.
Lupo didn't realize it before but the cop had a southern accent like he came strait out of Texas.
"What's going to happen to me?" Lupo croaked.
"In your ma's will it says that one of your friends agreed to look after you, Adam Kiper, I believe."
"Sadly though all the money your family left you is needed to pay off debt and bills, so you don't really get much after it all is subtracted. Come on I got the address to your new house, let's go." He walked over to the cop car and opened the passenger door.
Lupo slowly walked over to the car and went inside.
"Some officers will come and help you get your things packed tomorrow, we already notified your school that you will be away." The cop said as he walked around the front to the driver side. The ride only took a few minutes before pulling up to Adam's house where Adam's mom is waiting for him. The cop and mrs. Kiper talk while I go around back to talk to Adam who was doing laps in his pool. When he saw Lupo, he got out of the water, his body glowing from the droplets falling from his matted fur his long tail whipped back and forth behind him as he dried of his body, his swimming trunks barely covering his thick legs as he massaged his thighs with the towel.
"Sup, Lupo?" Adam said trying to be as nice as possible. Obviously he knew about what happened.
"I don't know, how some people could do that sort of thing." Lupo whispered as he started walking to the back gate. Behind that was a ravine that could lead all the way to Lake Ontario, which he, Adam, and Mario often took just to pass some time.
"I'm just going to go down to the ravine to think, I'll be back." Lupo opened the door and walked down the hill towards the shallow stream.
After about a minute of self thinking, he heard splashing coming from his left, he looked up to see a pack of wolves and at the head of the pack, Oliver. Just as Lupo got up Oliver and his pack charged at him.
They out ran him with no problem, tripping him so he fell onto some rocks, and before he knew what hit him they rolled him over and beat him, often lifting him up to the ground only to punch him until he fell again. Oliver led the attack by mostly beaten him around the neck which would make breathing near impossible, then finally it came to an end as Oliver looked into Lupo's eyes and said,
"This is for living you FUCKING FAGGOT!" Then finally punching him square in the nose. No more punches or kicks came but instead they held him down as Lupo felt something cold pressing against his fur and cutting the word fag into his back. Then a deep whisper came into his ear,
"You tell anyone what we did, you die. Now we expect to see you back here tomorrow after school or we'll find you."
Lupo through some amount of strength made it back up the hill and into Adam's back yard, passing the pool and seeing Adam already went inside, he quickly made it to the bathroom and looked into the mirror. His face was bleeding in separate places and his right ear's tip was mutilated, his nose was dripping blood onto the counter, his whole body was covered in bruises of different size and colour, and finally he could fell blood flowing out of the cut in his back from Olly's knife. He heard Adam scream as he ran down the stairs and saw the blood leading to the bathroom where Lupo stood like a statue looking at what they had managed to do in what felt like seconds.
"What, happened?" Adam said with his maw open all the way.
All Lupo could say was,
"I fell."
Adam's long ears sank as he realized he was just lied to but didn't challenge the story but simply told him that he could wash off in the shower before mrs. Kiper came back.
Lupo was now naked in the bathroom feeling the water before he stepped inside fiddling with the lever, he then stepped inside to wash the blood and dirt out of his fur. After about a minute Adam entered the bathroom, "Lupo, are you actually gay?"
Lupo wasn't expecting that question.
"Why?"
"Well that's why they beat you up right? They called you a faggot."
"So?"
"So are you gay?"

"If you heard them say that why didn't you help?" Lupo said trying to sound as angry as possible.
"I'm sorry, but it was Olly, and I can't mess with him."
