Never Forget: Prelude: Humans
This is the Story of the most hated and evil race, the most hated of the five races. Humans, were a young race but when the great beings created them they left a hole in their hearts so that they may seek to fill it with knowledge and love for all the other races. Sadly the Great ones didn't foresee they would seek to fill it with power, sex, gold, silver, and other dark things. In the beginning they were simple and walked on two legs with bent backs. The other older races saw them as weaker and saw they were a doomed race so they kept their knowledge to themselves.
The Humans feared everything and traveled never stopping only to sleep in trees and caves. They used stone and bone as tools for cutting and digging. From there they learned to create art and make clothing and better tools. They learned they could stay in one place where they planted the seeds of the food they ate. They then moved on to use wood and the skins of the dead Ferules.
With time they learned to write and became a wonderful race. They even learned to make fire and use it to cook, to melt metals. They learned to melt copper and tin first. Then learned with burnt wood they could make the fire hotter and melt and shape the two into brass. They built cities and roads. Never using more than they needed and even gained the respect of the other races.
From there the humans learned of the great ones and quickly advanced. Sadly when they learned that they could have sex and could use the metals gold, silver, brass, and copper as money, and trade to gain things they wanted but did not need, this opened the hole in their hearts. From this hole they unknowingly gave birth to sins. At first there was Greed, then Envy, then finally Gluttony.
They built stone towers and homes. Building aqueducts and public baths. Making glass products and hammering out a new metal. They had learned to make brass and iron but with time they learned to make a new stronger, lighter metal; steel. The Anthroks taught them the ways of hunting, and the ways of faith to the great beings. The Ferules taught them order, and how to study the stars. In turn the Humans lived in peace and traded their knowledge of writing and how to make steel and glass.
The three races lived in harmony for 2,000 years. They even created two new races, the Kiridians, and the older races learned to move on to create the race of higher beings, the Templar's. The Humans even began to use slaves and the ownership of those slaves let in pride and with it came the fall of man, and the war that would erupt with a single young Anthrok prince at the head of the war. The humans grew to where they no longer needed the help of the other races and hated the Templar for no human had been able to enter the ranks. They began to hunt the other races and kill or sell them in to slavery. They beat them and showed no mercy.
The Humans had become to think of themselves as higher as and better than the other races. For this was for they had greed and envy in the hole of their hearts. This has been going on for some time now, 1,000 years to be exact. There are a few humans who see that what their race has become and try to make things as comfortable for the slaves. Mostly the unlucky ones who happen to of been sold to farms. This is the beginning of the human race and these are the tales of how they fell and there leave from this world.
