Panther the Untold Story - Part 1
Part 1: Birthday Wish
"Happy sixteenth birthday Panther!" As his mom reached her paws down and pulled the blanket off his bed to tickle his tummy, his mother seemed more excited than he was, as his mother licks Panther's face. "Mom.... I'm not a little kitten anymore." As Panther grumbles from the licks and turns over to the other side of the bed, but a purr escaping his snout almost inaudible to his mom. "This is true Panther, but you're always be my special kitty." as she licks his ears and cheek lovingly, like any good mother would. Panther smiles softly and purrs louder, returning the lick to her cheek. "Thanks mom." "You're welcome my sweet kitten." As she gets off his bed and starts walking downstairs, "get dressed when you're ready, I made you something special and give you your presents. "Mom....you know how tight things are here, you didn't have to." "I did it because I love you, plus I know it is something you wanted." As she walks downstairs and goes into the kitchen.
Panther gets out of bed and heads towards the door, "mom, I'm going to take a shower." As he walks to the bathroom that is connected to his room and shuts the door as a million thoughts filled his muzzle. 'Why did she buy me something? She knows we live on the poor side of Corneria.' As he hops into the shower and turns on the hot water, and lets the hot water hit his back, to him, each soothing drop felt as if it were puncturing his body and relaxing his nerves, sometimes he could just stay under the water for hours, loving every second of it. His paws grab for his shampoo and starts washing his muzzle and moving down to wash his paws and arms, as he looks out the window, even though this was the poor side, no matter where you were, the sunrise was always beautiful as he sighs happily, his black tip emerging from his pouch as he chuckles softly, "no no no, you're have your chance when you become one of the Star Fox team members, then Fox will be all yours." As he takes his paw and slides the tip back into his pouch, as he finishes showering and puts on black pants and white tea-shirt.
He finishes getting dressed and ruffles his head fur, before walking down the stairs and sitting down at the kitchen table and wondering what the surprise would be. His mother returns with a bowl of milk and some pancakes and sits down beside him. Panther's tail starts wagging like mad as he attacks them, his mother chuckling from his reaction as she pulls out three boxes from a cupboard and sets it on the table. Panthers eyes widen, his heart pounding heavily with shock as Anthony, a Siberian tiger with blue eyes comes in through the kitchen door. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO!" As he sets a box down and sits at the table. "Hey Anthony, thanks." Yes Panther was appreciative of the gifts, he really was, but he told them a thousand times, that he didn't want anything. "So what does my best buddy in the whole Lylat System want to do on his special day?" As Anthony puts his arm around Panther, Panther smiling a bit, "well there has been something I always wanted to do..." "Which is?" As Anthony punches his Panther's arm and ruffles his head fur. "Well...." As Panther turns his muzzle and whispers something in his ear, Anthony giggling softly and blushing. "This better not be what I think it is." As she says playfully and winks at them, causing Panther to groan, "Mom.... I am not a cub..." As Anthony cuts him off, "Don't worry Ms P, I'll be extra gentle and use a condom." As Panther blush deeply, "umm ok then, you two play nice while." As his mother leaves the room and heads out to the kitchen and opens the refrigerator door. Panther groans while his mom and whispers into Anthony's ear, "Anthony relax, your starting to make my mom feel uncomfortable." As Anthony lowers his ears, "sorry." as he stands up from his chair and pads towards the kitchen. "Anything I can help you with Ms P?" As she smiles softly and pulls out the cake, "nah, but thanks sweetie for asking." As she turns off the lights and both Anthony and Panther's mother start singing happy birthday. Panther soon makes a wish and blows out the candle, his mother slices the cake and places it onto three plates, and hands a plate to everyone. "So what did my best buddy wish for? To be as far away from me as possible?" Panther chuckles and swallows a piece before answering, "Ha-ha please, why would I wish for that? You are the life or the party."
As Panther punches Anthony's arm playfully, then grabbing a red box from his mother and opens it, and takes it out, his heart stopping as he holds the GW6UZ in his paws, an early model of the blasters used today, sure it was not as stylish as the GZ6UZ, but it was a reliable gun that completed any job. "Now Panther, I bought this for you because I know you want to join the Star Fox team, however, I want you to not get your dreams up to high. Even if you do not make it, there are several other teams besides Star Fox who defend our city, or you could become in the law enforcement. Now I do not want you to shot this at anyone, you are to go to the woods and practice." As sighs, "mom I'm not some wreck-less kitten anymore." "Yes you are." As Anthony says in a teasing and playful manner. As his bother gives him a second box, inside a black shirt and pants with silver tribal markings on the front and sides and a gold angel wing design on the back. "wow... thank you mom." As he kisses her, and opens the third box, he finds a belt with a gun holster on it along with four cartridges of thick. slimy, substance used for ammo for his pistol. As Panther grabs the boxes and brings them into his room and returns to open Anthony's, to find a three hundred Silverton pre-paid credit card, as he hugs both of them tightly. "Thanks Mom and Anthony, you guys didn't have to do this." "So mom, were you able to have today off or no?" "I'm sorry son, my boss made me cover for someone today, I'm so sorry, please forgive me. I do however have the next three days off, of which, you're getting your last gift from both of us." Panther's ears fold down flat, hearing that his mother had to work, especially on his birthday, but also knowing that her boss can be rather understanding, so he thanked him for letting her have the next three days off. It just saddens him, because it just seemed every birthday, she was forced to cover for someone, even on Holidays. "Well mom, can I go to the beach with Anthony later while you're away?" As his mother thinks about it for several seconds, "sure son, you can go." As she smiles softly, "just promise me that both of you will be safe." "We promise."
As both Panther and Anthony race out the doors and start running towards the beach, living on the poor side did have its benefits, everyone would go to the beaches in town, sense they were closer, but hardly no one would ever go to the beach where they were heading to as they raced down a few couple side streets, soon both become out of breath with only twenty minutes until their own beach. "Hey Anthony, have you ever wondered why no one ever goes to the beach we go to?" As Anthony stops for a minute and thinks, rubbing his chin as he does so. " Well...." As they arrive at the beach, sure the beach was not the best looking, but it wasn't the best either, the sky was blue, the water was blue, the ground was sand, as both of them stare out into the ocean, neither one truly knowing why this beach was so deserted. "Well what should we do first Anthony?" As Panther looks where Anthony once stood, only to see Panthers pink shirt and black jeans, before looking towards the ocean to see Anthony dive into the ocean naked, as Panther chuckles, "you were suppose to wait for me." As he laughs and takes off his white tea shirt and black jeans, as he walked towards the ocean, but somehow, something did not feel right. Like, an old instinct warning him not to go into the ocean. As he freezes and stares into the water with cold eyes. "Anthony...get over here quick" As he yells as loud as he can, and starts running towards the water. Anthony's ears pick up, "but why, the water is fine." As he goes under the water and comes back up, his entire fur soaked from ears to toes as Panther reaches the water's edge. "Anthony, come on I am serious, please get out, something is not right."
As Anthony chuckles softly, but sees the worry in Panthers cold blue eyes as he walks out and wraps a paw around Panther's neck. "What is it?" "I don't know, but something about the water, there is something in it." As both Antony and Panther stare into the water for several minutes. "Do you feel that Anthony?" As Anthony nods slowly and both of them turn and start to leave, not knowing what just happen, all they know was that they sensed something, something that was not right. As they walk down one of the side streets, to head back to Panther's house, a loud, window shattering rumble can be heard high above the sky, as they look up and see the Great Wolf preparing to land in the capital. "What I wouldn't do to be on that ship right about now." As Panther sighs and lowers his ears slowly with disappointment and discouragement, Anthony seeing this, he turns and hugs him softly. "Don't give up your dream Panther, someday, somehow, I have a feeling you will be on that ship and make everyone of Corneria proud. Dreams are what make living possible. You need to reach for something." As Anthony hugs Panther tighter and rubs his back softly. Panther purring a little bit, as Anthony chuckles. "You're not getting excited are you?" As Anthony giggles and purrs as well." "Nah." As Panther smiles softly, "thanks Anthony, I needed that." "You're Welcome."
As they arrive at Panthers house and walk inside, Anthony sitting down on the couch and Panther walks into the kitchen. "Can I get you a diet Slurp Anthony? I know how much you enjoy them." As Anthony chuckles, "only if it is not a hassle." "Nah you're practically family." As Panther returns with two cans and sets one down in front of Anthony and the other in front of himself, as they occasionally drink from their cans and just relax on the couch. Neither one of them speaking for several moments before SC- Communicator vibrates against his shorts. Everyone was issued an SC- Communication or Standard Corneria Communicator as some call it. They were completely free of charge, that the Corneria government seemed to think was important that every citizen should have a means of communication.
"Sorry buddy, I got to go home, would you like to come over?" "Nah, but thank you though, maybe later if you're not at work." "Sorry Panther, I would love to hang with you, but I have to work at the Corneria Adult Theater. I could sneak you in and you could stay next to me at my desk. " "Ha ha, ok so I am bi-sexual Anthony, and sure, I would not turn down any cock of any kind. Especially a knotted one, but I do not want to engage in sexual activities with an eighty year old." "yea, that would be kind of gross." As they both laugh and hug each other goodbye, as Anthony shuts and locks the door behind him, leaving Panther alone in the dark as the sun rises to directly above the sky. Panther heads upstairs, and locks his bedroom door behind him, stripping down and deciding to take a small cat nap before evening, wanting to take at least a three hour nap before heading over to his friend's house. As he closes his eyes and starts to dose off into dreamland.
