Choice(balance)-Arc 2"Trust" part 3
At Kyle's place,Kay,and Alan discuss with him about the present dilema they're in.
"What do you mean the portal is opened?!"
Kay asks,confused.
"I don't know.The ceptar was right here.None of us opened it.Ever since it opened,demons have been pouring out of it lately.The entire town is in a state of alert right now."
Kyle finishes.Kay tries to think of what to do about this.
"Kay? We should help everyone in town."
Alan suggests.Kay nodds his head.
"Hey Kyle,does Buch know what's going on?"
Kay asks.
"Yeah.I told him to help anyone he comes across and to fend them off as much as he can."
Kyle says.
"Then we should go help him.If there's as much of a commotion over there as it was over here,then he might be in danger.We need to go look for him."
Kay says.
"Right.So where do you think he's headed off to?"
Alan asks.Kyle flicks his glasses.
"He must be on the west side of town.Let's enter by train,it'll be faster."
Kyle suggests.Kay nodds.
"Alright.Let's go."
They leave immediately.They entered the train that led throught the entire city.They stopped at the train station to the west,and saw a battle taking place.They saw Buch surrounded by demons,and immediately rush in to help their outnumbered friend.
"Yoo!!"
Buch shout as Kay,Alan,and Kyle show up.
"Hey,we've come to help."
Kay says.
"Well you guys sure are fashionably late.Hey 4-eyes,You would'nt believe what I saw while I was here."
Buch says.Kyle looks at him,intruiged.
"What?"
He asks.
"I saw demons coming out of portals.Not A portal.I mean ALOT of portals."
Buch says.Kay was shocked.
"What? How?"
He asks.Alan felt multiple demon presences,and drew his wing.
"Guys,there are more on the way!!"
He says.3 portals appeared ,and deployed multiple demons from the other side.Kay glares at them.
"How in the hell?"
He says.
"Enough chit chat.Here they come."
Kyle says as they stood ready to fight.The demons were alot harder this time,being that they had the advantage in numbers.But Kay and the others held thier own against the hordes,and was starting to get impatient.They were panting,and was out of breath.
"Well...That should clear that up."
Buch says.
"I still can't believe that there were multiple portals this whole time rather than one."
Kyle says.
"Then what the hell is the ceptar for then?"
Kay asks.Kyle stares at the ceptar,and thinks for a moment.
"It was able to detect demon presences.It must have been able to sense the portals,not create one."
He concludes.
"Shit!! Now we don't know when they'll come after us again."
Buch says.
"I can sense nearby demon energy.I can tell if there's anything strange going on for miles.My powers haven't really matured that much,but it's better than nothing."
Alan says.Kay nodds.
"Alright,since we have 2 ways of telling when Lucifer strikes,all we have to do fend them off for as long as we can.That's all we can do for now."
Kay says.Alan senses a big demon presence,and turns around in horror.
"Another one!?"
He says.They all turned around,and saw a portal send out a big blob that was in a crimson flare.They all stared at it,and got ready to fight it.
"Man.Lucifer really wants us dead."
Buch says.
"Well I'm not gonna die here."
Kay says in frustration.They charge in to fight the monster.The blob was very difficult.It was completely impervious to all physical attacks,and was only hurt by elemental force.Kyle stepps back,and discovers this.
"Kay.It can only be hurt by elemental attacks.Buch,and Alan's attacks are'nt doing any good,so we're gonna have to rely on your black flames,and my magic for a while."
Kyle says.Kay nodds.Alan and Buch ran around to get the blob's attention while Kay and Kyle did some damage to the demon blob.After a while it was starting to weaken,and kay and Kyle were panting again.
"Did we do it?"
Kay asks.It was silent as the blob was still,not moving.....Then it stretched out a tenticle,and grabbed Alan..
"Alan!"
Kay shouts.Alan struggles to get away,but his wing cuts were'nt working.Then There was a shout from a distance-
"Leave this to me!!"
The voice shouts.Kay looks up,and sees Doctrene with a glowing white sword right above the blob ready to strike.
"Old man!!"
Kay shouts.Doctrene cuts the blob in half,releasing Alan in the process.As the blob vanishes,Doctrene puts his sword away,and walks to Alan to help him up.Alan looks at him,and grins.
"Thanks Old man."
He says gratefully.Doctrene helps him up,as he smiles.Kay,Kyle,and Buch walk over to them.
"What was that?"
Kay asks.
"This? This was a blade I used when I was in the war.It's called Kalazaruse.It was forged specifically to fight agains the demons."
Doctrene explains.Buch looks at the man,confused.Kyle does the same.
"Not to be rude or anythin,but who are you?"
He asks,scratching his head.
"My name is Doctrene,but just call me Old man."
He says.Kyle scanned the man even further.
"Did you say you were apart of the war that took place years ago?"
Kyle asks.Doctrene chuckles a bit.
"It seems things have gotten a little troublesome.Come over to my hut.We'll discuss there."
He says as they leave.
