Choice(balance)-Arc 2"Trust" part 2
Kay and Alan quickly turned in the man's direction to see who it was.The man was old,he was wearing a long cloak,boots,and had a gruff beard.He looked a bit poor.
"Who are you?"
Kay asks.The old man looked at kay immediately.
"Me? I'm just an old man."
He responds casually.Kay glares at him more.
"What do you know about Lucifer?"
He asks,still staring.The old man chuckles a bit.
"He's not someone you'd wanna meet in battle,I'll tell you that much."
He responds.Kay clenches his fists.
"Lucifer has caused suffering to the entire world.And he even hurt Alan.I'll never forgive him for that.I don't care how strong he is,I will defeat him."
Kay says proudly.Alan looks at him and frowns.
"Kay."
He says under his breath.The old man was silent for a while.He grins.
"You know,I've just met you,and I can tell just how specisl you are.You're impulsive,and yet you follow your heart.I like that.What's your name?"
The old man asks.
"My name is Kay.Kay Stanford.And this is Alan.Alan Lakened."
Kay announces.The man grins then gets up off the bench.
"I see.My name is Doctrene.But you can just call me Old man for short."
Doctrene stares at Alan for a moment.
"You have demon blood in you don't you?"
He says.Alan had a slight panic look on his face.
"How...Did you know?"
He asks.Doctrene grins,signaling to calm down.
"Don't worry,I'm not gonna hurt you.Come.I wish to show you something."
He says as he leaves.Kay and Alan follow the old man to an old hut.It was his place.As they entered,they saw alot of interesting things.They saw old relics and ancient artifacts littered around Doctrene's hut.It was like a mini museum.Kay and Alan continued to stare in wonder while Doctrene watches them,smiling.
"Old man.This...This is amazing."
Kay says.
"Yeah,you're right.Where did you get all of this stuff?"
Alan asks,still staring.Doctrene chuckles.
"That's nothing.Let me show you what's in the back."
He says as he leads the 2 boys to the back of his hut.They arrived and saw a very astonishing trophy.A demon's wing,ripped right from it's body.Kay and Alan stared at it gapingly.
"Is that-?
"Yes.That's the wing of a demon.I tore it off one day during the war years ago."
Doctrene finishes Alan's sentence.Kay looks at the old man surprised.
"So...Then you're a war veteran.You used to serve God as an angel."
Kay concludes.Alan looks at Doctrene,shocked ny what he just heard.
"Really? No way."
He responds.Doctrene smiles.
"Yeah.It's true.I used to be his angel of service.I was not the best in my profession just to let you know,but I've never lost against any demon.Big or small."
He responds.
"So what happened? Why aren't you up there like all angel are?"
Kay asks.Doctrene's grin turns to a frown.
"Well...I made a mistake,and I left God's ranks.Now I'm stuck here to live my life as a solitary mortal.Not an angel anymore."
He responds.He shifts back to a grin.Kay and Alan felt a bit sorry for the old veteran.Kay grins at him.
"Hey Old man? What kind of travels did you do as an angel? What was it like? How many demons did you put the smack down on?"
Kay kept nailing the smiling old man with anxious questions.Alan giggles.
"Come on Kay,let the man breathe."
He says with a grin.Doctrene laughs again.
"Sorry.I just never have met an angel from the war before.You can't blame me for being excited."
Kay says.Doctrene looks at the 2 boys and smiles.
"Well if you wanna hear a story,i have a good one."
He says.Kay and Alan smiles wide as if they were getting ready for story time as 4 year olds.Meanwhile,Kyle was typing on his computer,doing some work.The ceptar of deception that was on his desk started to glow,and vibrate.Kyle looks at the ceptar,puzzled.He picks it up,and stares at it for a second.
"Wierd.Why's it doing that?"
He asks.He looks out his window,and sees a flying demon just outside his house.Kyle gasps in horror as he heads downstairs,and immediatly outside to handle them.The demons locked onto him,and charged in to fight him.Kyle stepped back quickly to dodge thier attacks and hits them all with a jolt of lightnig,and quick little cuts of wind.As they vanished,Kyle still kept feeling the ceptar vibrating,and glowing.
"What the hell is going on? I guess it's reacting to the demon's presence here.But where are they coming from if we did'nt open the portal?"
He says.A demon rushes behind Kyle and catches him off guard.He was unable to avoid it.Then Buch shoulder charges the demon out of the way,sending it flying.
"Buch? What are you doing here?"
Kyle asks.
"I came over here to see what the hell was happenin.Is the gate open or what 4-eyes?"
Buch asks.Kyle was just as confused as he was.
"I don't have a clue on what's going on.The ceptar was with me the entire time.These must have came from somewhere else."
Kyle concludes.
"Like where? Other than the usual place?"
Buch asks.
"I'm not sure.Listen I'll go tell Kay and Alan.You should probably go around the city and see if there's anymore of these things,and help anyone who's in need."
Kyle says.Buch nodds.They each leave to do their part.Kay and Alan were sitting down listening to Doctrene's tale.They were immersed in wonder as he spoke of his travels,and adventures.
"Woah.I did'nt know that there was demon with 5 heads.That's awesome."
Kay says.
"I think that's rather creepy myself."
Alan says.Doctrene laughs with the 2 boys.Kay and Alan gets up and looks outside and sees the sun setting.
"Well we'd better get home.Thanks for telling us that story Old man."
Kay says.Doctrene grins.
"My pleasure."
He says.The 2 begin to leave but Doctrene stops them.
"Wait for a moment.How would you 2 like to be my pupils?"
He offers.The boys' eyes lit up with excitement.
"Would we!?"
Kay says,anxious.
"We'd be honored sir."
Alan says,bowing.Doctrene continues to smile.
"I told you.Call me Old man.You 2 seem to have some intersesting abilities within yourselves.So I'm gonna help you channel some of that power so it can aid you against Lucifer."
He responds.Kay and Alan gives each other high fives.
"Alright!! Thanks Old man.We won't let you down."
Kay says as they leave.
"Your training begins tomorrow morning.Don't be late."
Doctrene says.As they were walking back home,Kay was riddled with anticipation.And so was Alan.
"Man,this is so cool.I can't believe we're actually gonna get trained by an angel from the war."
He says.
"I know.I wonder what kind of training we're gonna get put through."
Alan asks.
"Beats me.But if it can help us against Lucifer,I'll take anything he has for me."
Kay says with determination.Alan smiles at Kay,feeling happy for him.Kyle was rushing to the 2,out of breath.
"Hey Kyle.What's going on?"
Kay asks.
"Kay..Demons are invading...Somehow....The portal to hell is opened."
Kyle states grimly.Kay and Alan gasped in horror.
