*****************************************************************************************************************************

As Jason held the entire focus of the entire city as the veiled Dwarf commanded Jason to be silent, but Jason continued. "And so shall it be! That the only one who will gain from this act of revenge, is Galbatorix! As he sits on his throne and laughs at you all! Laughing at you having destroyed the only thing that could have ended his reign. Laughing as he watches from afar as his Enemies turn upon and destroy each other. Is this what you want?" Jason spoke as Nasuada spoke up in her own strength.

"Jason speaks the truth," She said calling out. "The Varden hold Eragon and Murtagh Shadeslayer as heros! That with the help of these two brothers we will not only face Galbatorix in battle but defeat him and cast him down. The Varden feels they can not loose. If you kill them, the Dwarves will have crushed the hope of the Varden and betrayed them. The forces of the Varden will seek revenge, they will have no hope of defeating Galbatorix, and nothing left to loose but their lives. They will seek revenge upon the dwarves!" she said with strength and conviction.

The Dwarves with the veil hoping to rally their anger when he realized they the crowd was beinging to calm down, and think, as he said, "We will slaughter the Varden, they will inflict no lasting harm upon us, we are as stone, we will out last them..." And then Arya spoke with her voice strong and full of conviction.

"Until the elves learn that the Dwarves betrayed the agreement with the Varden, Elves, and Dwarves. When the elves learn that you destroyed the only hope the elves have of over throwing Galbatorix. A hope we have nurtured for over nearly a century was slain for revenge. When they learn that not one dragon and Rider appear but four, their rage will be magnified beyond belief. Surely you remember the tales of our war with the Dragons? The elves are more powerful then they had been when that war started. When they learn you destroyed not one, but four riders, one of who escaped with three of Galbatorix Eggs, who became a rider himself. Along with I, and Murtagh. They will attack the Dwarves for they will desire revenge as well, and they will not stop until every last dwarf, or every last elf has been slain!" she said speaking with harsh menacing tones. The way she spoke and how she spoke actually broke the tension as people began to talk and soon disperse.

The veiled dwarf screamed as the others shouted and tried to rally the crowd they had as they dispersed. Turning to stare at Jason he spat and screamed a number curses as he finally screamed in clear words. "Once you leave Tarnag You riders will never be safe again! We the Az Sweldn rak Anhuin, will not rest until we have destroyed all the Riders everywhere!" and then he and his forced half ran, half stormed off as the threat was averted as Jason turned to approach the group, as he reached where he dropped his sabers he used the Force so they would jump to his hand as he re-belted them before his robe was also called to his hand as the group began to re-enter the courtyard as the dragons where on edge as Jason headed over to a table as the doors were re-bolted as Undin and Gannel summoned more guards.

Finally as the riders gathered near Jason, The Jedi Master was over come with a sudden wave of complete exhaustion. He stumbled forward as a wave of dizziness over came him as he nearly fell. Murtagh and Arya had caught him as they helped him sit in a chair as someone came over with a tankard of water for which Jason asked for... Arya stood back as she watched Jason drink down the water after smelling it and finally he spoke with a tired and weary voice. "I'm getting far too old for this."

As Jason gathered his strength Arya spoke, "It's not age, it's exhaustion, I can tell. When was the last time you had had several complete nights of uninterrupted rest?" she asked him. Jason took another drink of water as he said "I have rested, well enough..."

Finally coming up Sunrider spoke out to the riders as she said, _ ~Since before I hatched I believe.~ _

"Impossible That was...." Eragon said trailing off.

"Jason you need rest. Even we elves need to rest and recover, and you are still human." She said.

"I will rest when we reach Ellesemera." he said as he tried to recover his strength with the Force knowing full well she was right and he needed rest.

"Ellesmera, is many months away, you will die of exhaustion before you can reach it. What do you hope to accomplish with this?"

"I intend to make sure that the Elves won't blame Murtagh for the crimes of Morzan, that like the Varden, and Dwarves, they won't punish him for actions taken by his father. To punish him for crimes that were committed by a man long before his mother was even born! " Jason said in an angered tone which he caught himself to retain his control. He knew he needed to rest and recover. He needed weeks to recover, and now, it was taking a toll on his mind as well as his body.

"The elves will be cautious of Murtagh, but we will not hold him responsible for the actions of someone he had no ability to control. The elves are not like that."

"The Varden wanted to hold Murtagh accountable for the actions of Morzan, You just saw what happened with the Az Sweldn rak Anhuin! Why would the Elves be different, when everything I have seen of Alagaesia tells me, The Sins of the father are passed onto the child, why should it not be so with the Elves?!" Jason said feeling exhausted, too exhausted to be overly polite.

With wisdom and careful choosing of her words so they would be perfectly clear she spoke. "Because of our long lives. Elves rarely have children, unlike humans, or dwarves. If we did, we could have defeated Galbatorix many years ago, through sheer numbers. When two elves have children it is a symbol of ultimate love between two individuals, and we treasure our children above all else. If we held the children of those who wronged us accountable for their actions...." she said as Jason finished.

"The Elves would have slain over half the empire by now, or long since gone extinct by killing the children of their elven enemies..." he said with a tired voice as Sunrider came up allowing him to place his hand on her head to run his hand over her chin.

"I know you have your reservations Jason, but I am asking you to trust me, as we have trusted you with our lives, so I ask, please release me from your expectations." She said as Jason looked at her, "Let us head to the elven trading post of Ceris. With help from the Elves there, we will be able to travel much quicker Ellesmera. You have a responsibility to us indeed, you have a responsibility to keep yourself healthy and strong."

Having regained his strength Jason started to stand despite some protest from Sunrider. "Very Well, I release you Arya, we will head to Ceris. Undin, Gannel," he said turning to face their dwarven hosts. "Forgive me, I do not wish to appear rude to our most generous hosts, But we should be ready to leave with in the hour, the longer we stay. The more time we can allow the Az Sweldn rak Anhuin, to gather their courage to actually attempt something."

"Nay," Said Undin, "Tis I who should apologize, I am deeply sorry that your stay was darkened by Az Sweldn rak Anhuin. I am also very impressed, I honestly thought it would come to Violence, I never expected Az Sweldn rak Anhuin to back down, much less to a Dragon Rider." He said, "But I will be honest, I think you should wait till night before leaving. There will be less chance of someone informing."

Jason was about to argue, when Eragon stepped in. "I think that is a good idea, besides after such a large meal, I'm honestly not simply ready to pack up and leave. And you need to rest some Jason."

Looking around as he watched Sunrider lay down beside Saphira and Thorn while Arya's Dragon came beside her as she began to sit as well. Jason realized he couldn't win as Murtagh headed over to Thorn as Eragon went to Saphira, Jason relented, but said. "I hope you realize Eragon, that the longer we stay, the more time to organize against us, and once we leave Tarnag, they may send a group out to attack us once we are safely out of the city. We will have to be vigilant." He said coming over beside Sunrider as Gannel spoke.

"The Az Sweldn rak Anhuin are fools. They are so consumed by their hatred they can't see the Gods have finally allowed us our revenge. Murtagh was raised by one of our most hated enemies, United with his brother he never knew was there, became a rider along side his brother. Only a fool would not see this was fated by the gods, and they " he said as Arya spoke up.

"Indeed? And how can you be sure that it was the actions of your gods, Gannel? Murtagh had said that he had started hunting the Ra'zac, and when he heard of a new rider chose to seek the rider out. It was only a coincidence that it was his Brother..."

The tone of Arya's voice is what caught Jason's attention as it was clearly confrontational and intending to incite an argument. Jason allowed Gannel to rebuke Arya, "Are you Blind? The Egg did not hatch for anyone in the Elves, or Varden for all the years it was carried between the two. Only after you teleported it away did it hatch, And hatched for the first person who encountered it!" he said as Jason was not about to allow this to continue so when Arya attempted to rebuke Gannel, Jason gave a harsh very vocal cough which echoed through the courtyard. When Arya was about to speak again Jason once more gave a very loud cough as eyes turned to him as Arya asked.

"Do you have some point of view that you wish to interject Jason?"

"Simply a question, the riders of old, when they entered a settlement or city, did they instantly disagree and argue and berate beliefs they did not find agree with their point of view with the world?"

She was quick to answer "No they did..." She instantly stopped and trailed her statement as the truth of what she had just done fully dawned and instantly fell silent as Jason explained.

"They did not. You have just shamed us Arya. You have shamed all your fellow Dragon riders and their Dragons. You have also shamed yourself most of all. I take no pleasure in this, but you will listen." he said as Arya was deathly silent as her face was impassive and almost unreadable, as she simply studied Jason intently as she held her dragon. "I have been trained as a diplomat and ambassador, have you not been trained and represent the Elven Queen?"

In a soft emotionless voice she said, "I indeed represent Queen Islanzdi."

"As a diplomat your duty is to ensure the peace between the Elves, Dwarves, and Varden. Starting arguments and disagreements with people, picking fights because you do not believe in what they believe in. Shows intolerance, and narrow-mindedness, unbefitting that of a rider. I wonder what would the Elves think if Nasuada, or Orik arrived in Ellesmera, and began insulting the way they believe? If you can not agree with the beliefs of a people, and no offense intended to the Dwarves with this comparison," he motioned to Gannel as he said, "Providing they are not performing unacceptable acts like, sacrificing children, the most you should ever say in a religious disagreement is, I Respect your beliefs, even though I do not agree with them."

As impassive as ever Jason could not read Arya as all eyes and the hushed silence was broken only when she spoke. "You are correct, I will apologize to Gannel for my insults to him and his beliefs." She said when Murtagh spoke up.

"Actually, Jason do you still support Eragon as our leader?" With confirmation from Jason, he continued, "The apology should actually come from Eragon, on behalf of Arya." he said making Eragon ask

"Why do I need to apologize for her actions?" he asked as Murtagh explained.

"As a leader you are responsible for the actions of those under your command. It's your job to keep us under control. In the empire, if a commander's sub-ordinate, insulted Galbatorix. After Galbatorix slew the offending. He would hold the commander resonsible for his actions. I am sure Ajihad would do similar for any soldier in his ranks would he not Lady Nasuada?" he asked as She confirmed.

"Indeed he would, and indeed he has."

Eragon was flustered bearing the full attention as it was clear he was unsure what to say or do in this regard but he mustered his courage and Spoke to Gannel, mustering as much strength as he could as he spoke.

"On... Behalf of Arya, I apologize for her insults to the customs of the dwarven people. I will assure you it will not happen again." he said as Jason was certain that he had been coached. Weither by Saphira, or Arya. It did not matter as Gannel said in a firm tone.

"I thank you for this apology, and on behalf of Arya, I accept the apology. But I have something to give the riders, I had been asked by King Hrothgar to make these for you all." He pulled out from his robed pocket four simple necklaces. It was a small silver hammer on a chain that had been threaded through the pommel. "He worries that Galbatorix may have gleaned an image of you from the minds of Durza, the Ra'zac, or any number of soldiers you encountered in the empire."

"Why would we fear that?" Eragon asked.

"Because he could then Scry you, perhaps he already has. Jason watched as a shiver ran through Eragon as even Murtagh was apprehensive of the prospect as Gannel quickly explained. "The necklace will prevent anyone from scrying you or your dragon, as long asyou wear it. I placed the spell myself. So it should hold against even the strongest mind. But be forewarned, when activated, the necklace will draw upon your strength until you either take it off or the danger has passed."

"What if we're asleep? Could it consume all our energy before we're aware of it?"

"Nay it will wake you." Eragon accepted the necklace as he handed the next one to Murtagh and then Arya as Jason received the last one as Murtagh put his necklace on instantly, placing it under his tunic, Arya looked hers over before she placed it around her neck and said, "Thank you for this priceless gift. I am sure it will protect us from unwelcomed eyes." As Jason could sense the magic inside and placed it around his neck while Eragon briefly inspected it before placing it on as Arya nodded to him.

Gannel said in a respectful tone to Eragon. "Your fellow Riders are each wise in their own ways. If you listen to their lessons and wisdom. You will become a fine leader."

Eragon accepted the praise as he beamed with pride before the rest of Undin's guards filed into the court yard and things began to settle down as Sunrider laid her head in Jason's lap while he and the rest of the riders rested.
