Choice(Balance)-Arc 1"Beginning" part 17
Buch was panting hard as he was kneeling on the ground.The keeper was shown on the ground,lifeless.It disappears into a stream of energy and flows out of the chamber.Buch looks out the chamber,confused.
"What the hell? What's goin on?...Well i gotta head to the cepter and wait for those 2.But they better hurry up."
He says as he leaves.Kyle was panting,but the keeper stood,triumphant.They continued to glare at eachother.
"*Pant*Pant*Damn it.He's too fast."
Kyle says to himself.The keeper bared it's fangs at it's opponent.
"Now do you see mortal? You are weak against the likes of me."
It declared.Kyle was thinking quickly,knowing that his death was in his path.
"Alright.I was able to do some damage to him with my magic,but he does'nt even seem fazed.What can I do?"
He asks himself.He continued to think as the demon hound continued to growl and bare it's fangs at him.He came up with an idea.
"That puzzle before,when i slowed those boxes down before.I might be able to use it on him somehow."
He says.He gets up and stands couragously.The keeper looked at him in confusion.
"What are you planning now you fool? I told you it's useless."
It says as it glared at him.Kyle grins then takes off his glasses.His eyes were full of hope and the burning desire to defeat the demon that stood in his way.he then closes his eyes and focuses his energy.His wing then started to glow a pale white,brighter than his wing has ever shone.The keeper was offstruck by this.It looks around and sees that it's surrounded in a type of pale bubble that was around it's body only.Kyle opens his eyes and notices this.He smiles as the keeper was looked around in a panic.
"Guess I got you now."
He says with a smirk.The keeper bares it's fangs once again,but this time more furiously.He was floating in the pale-white field and was at Kyle's mercy.
"What is this you're trying to pull?"
It lashes out.Kyle continued to grin,wing glowing brighter than the sun.
"Hmph.Thanks to your little puzzle back there that nearly killed me,I've obtained a certain ability un-benownst to anything you expected.I'm able to slow time around my target by focusing my sight on them.Now,there's no where for you to go."
Kyle says.The keeper struggles to get out,but was too late.Kyle engulfed the keeper in flame,burning it critically.The time constraint around the keeper subsided and it disappeared in a stream of energy,the same as what happened to the one Buch defeated.Kyle groans in pain,and kneels on the floor holding his eyes.
"Ugh!! My,my eyes.What is this?"
He says holding his eyes.His vision starts to get blurry,then it clears up.He gets up slowly.
"So,that's the price for using that for so long.Then I can't abuse it.It must be used cautiously."
He says as he puts his glasses back on.
"I wonder how those 2 are holding up."
He pulls out his cellphone and dials Kay first.The phone ringed 5 times,then there was no answer.Kyle was confused and worried.He tries again.The same happened.It ringed 5 times and then...No answer.
"What the hell?"
He says in confusion.He then calls Buch.It ringed a couple of times then someone answered.
"Yo 4-eyes,what's up."
Buch responds.
"Not much.I just finished up on my end and now I'm heading to the cepter.What about you?"
Kyle asks.
"I just finished up too.That took way too damn long.The wierd thing is that the keeper thing turned into energy and went somewhere else.Freaky huh?"
Buch finishes.Kyle was intruiged.
"I see.The same thing happened to me.We need to hurry to the cepter.By the way have you tried calling Kay?"
Kyle asks.
"No.What,did somethin happen?"
Buch asks.
"He wasn't answering his phone.I think something may have happened to him."
Kyle says.
"Well let's get to the cepter first,then we'll figure out somethin."
Buch says as they both signed off.The 2 head to the cepter.They discovered that it was no longer proteceted by a barrier.Kyle goes to grab it.
"So the keeper's own lives were being used as the barrier that held the cepter."
Kyle says,staring at the cepter.
"That's good right? Now we can go rescue Alan."
Buch says.There was a rumble that shook the entire temple.
"Woah,what the hell!?"
Buch shouts as he tried to maintain his balance.
"An earthquake?"
Kyle says.Then 3 streams of energy flowed and hovered in front of them.They collided together and then there was a flash of light.As the light subsided it showed the keepers in the form of a cerberus.Kyle and Buch stare in awe.
"Are you serious.What is this?"
Buch says confused.
"This must be a failsafe of there's.If anyone was able to defeat them and claim the cepter they would return,stronger.Lucifer is one careful bastard."
Kyle says glaring at the keepers.The cerberic keeper bared it's fangs and it roars.
"FOOLS!!! Did you really believe that you would walk out of here with the cepter alive? This is where it ends."
The keepers declared ferociously.Kyle and Buch backed away and stood their ground.Then,around a corner that appeared to give off a strong,violent aura,was Kay.His wings,still engulfed in black flames,and his eyes,still running red tears out of anger.Kyle and Buch stared in shock and horror at him.
"Kay? I,is that you?"
Kyle says.
"Woah.What happened?"
Buch says.The keepers chuckle in amusement.
"You still don't understand do you? Your friend here has been chosen to lead this world.He is the one.THE RED AND BLACK WINGED ANGEL!!!"
The Keepers anounced.Kyle and Buch gaped at Kay,with half wide opened mouths.
"No.Kay."
Kyle says.
"I knew something was wierd about that black wing of his.Who woulda thought."
Buch says,glaring at Kay.Kay walks tward the keepers in,still,a draggy body.The keepers lundged at him,but he did'nt try to dodge.He kept a blank face on and just used both of his wings to block their blow.He repels them back with ease.Kyle rushes in to try and help but Buch stops him.
"Let him go,4-eyes.He seems to have this covered.Besides,if we get involved now,we might get caught in the cross-fire.Let's wait."
Buch says,reasonably.Kyle nodds then stands back.The fight did'nt last long,considering how powerful Kay was at this point.The keepers continued to strike Kay but again he did'nt show any signs of struggle.It was as if he was used to fighting something like this.The keepers backed away,and Kay raises his wings once again to gather fire.As Kyle and Buch continued to stare the keepers stood ready to fight.Kay launched the ball of flame at the keepers,and they were powerless to even avoid,let alone,defend against the powerful attack.They vanished in an instant.As the black flames subsided,his 2 offstruck companions continued to stare at him.Kay looked possessed,and still held tears of blood over his face.His wings and fire slowly fades away and he collapses on the floor.Kyle and Buch rushes to his side.Kyle tried to wake Kay up and call out to him,but there was no response.
"Kay!! Kay wake up,can you hear me!?Kay!!KAAAYYYY!!!"
Kyle continued to shout,but to Kay his voice started to fade as if it was a dream.As if his friend's presence was an apparition.
