As soon as they arrived they divided in to 2 groups, one hunted for food, while the other worked on the buildings. Which were built rather quickly, 2 days for the smaller of the 2. While the long house took 4 days.
Just as those in the new town were getting settled in, the guards from Karma arrived. There was so much Summer wanted to tell Wave, but hadn't the courage to tell him. But when she went off by herself and finally built up just enough to tell him, he was gone.
Callisto was all business on their journey to what the locals knew only as The Passages to Hell. They learned from Shaun that these so called 'Passages' were a series of caves that lead deep underground. It was also a place where those who dared to venture to that underground world. It was a place where they never be seen again. But it did have one thing that made it a must see site, for any one venturing this deep in to the forest. Which made it unique there was cave paintings just inside the entrance, any one with a torch could see. The painting depicted animals there no one had ever seen, so thought they once lived but who knew for certain.
But after the days it took to get there what they faced, from a distance of course was a thing nightmares were made of. It was a creature that was a mixture of every living thing that could walk, swim, or fly. If that wasn't bad enough, it was 12 feet tall with the strength to snap a tree in to splinters, worse yet if any living creatures ventured near it. The creature would tear apart and eat it all up, skin and bones included. Worst yet according to Callisto it was quite mad...and worst yet they could not kill it. As he put it too everyone, I know after you got here and saw that creature, my request for not killing that creature sounds like pure madness. But I assure you I have my reasons, and after all since you all agreed to help me. I think I should tell you, that creature was once either my mate, or my daughter. He then went in to the entire story about his life and what happened to his family.
But instead of everyone being in shock, that's when the ideas started coming, a lot of them were rejected when they quickly discovered that the creature rarely ventured more than a short distance from the entrance to the cave.That must because of Ganymede, Wave observed.
