Robert was walking home from school, his troubles easing away as he felt the afternoon air hitting his face. He felt free.

"Ahh, I am finally ready for summer." Thought Robert. He saw all the other kids running out of the high school and jumping into their parent's cars, driving off to who knows where. Robert clutched tight to his necklace with a blue gem dangling down from it. He smiled.

The only thing his Sister left him before she died. Robert's sister was lost during a boat trip when he was very little. She was never found again. The necklace was the only thing found in the ocean that belonged to her. He looked forward and noticed the houses and subdivisions. His was a while away and his house was tucked by a beach, nicely positioned for a swim. His bluish hazel eyes reflected sunlight and his orange shirt with cargo pants made people think of his carefree attitude. His flip flops did not help much either.

Robert's black hair floated in the slow breeze and he started to walk toward the bike rack. He noticed all the different bikes and found his blue bike leaning up against the rack, waiting patiently to be taken back home.

Robert jumped on his bike and pedaled down many streets until finally reaching his destination, the beach by his house. He felt excitement pulse through his veins as he neared the beach. The beach was his favorite place to relax. Robert parked the bike near the road and started to walk, feeling the tones of life around him change to a calmness.

Robert opened the gate to see no one was nearby. This was strange considering school was out and usually everyone flocks to the beach. Robert looked out towards the ocean and felt the power of it, flowing energy through his veins. He envied the ocean, not having to worry about anything.

Robert walked out onto the sand, feeling the soft pebbles between his feet. He took off his flip flops and put them near the gate. He started to walk over to the ocean. The ocean moved back and forth in a trance like motion. The waves hit the sand pulled it back in; almost like pulling someone you love close to you.

Robert took off his flip flops and threw them by the gate, the pitter patter of the flip flops hitting the wood of the gate made him maddened to run towards the ocean but he took it slow, savoring every step. He felt the sand between his feet and the ocean current pulling him in, tugging him towards the royal blue sea.

He stepped onto the watery sand bellow his feet and they started to sink into the sand. Robert started to walk further out towards the bank and the water started to deepen. He felt strange. Robert took off his shirt and saw the necklace dangle down. It reflected the light off the water giving it a mysterious light.

Robert threw his shirt on the sand and walked out onto the ocean until his ankles were covered in water. He took his fingers and held the necklace. "Sister, if you can see this please keep this memory with you forever." Robert thought. Robert heard footsteps behind him and he turned around. It was a wolf standing on two legs starring at him. The wolf was pink with white lines going down its legs and looping into spirals. It almost looked tribal.

"Who are you?" Robert whispered quietly. The wolf looked at his eyes and he could not help but shiver. He knew who this was. The wolf started to walk towards him and grabbed his hand, holding it in a warm embrace of fur. Robert did not know what to say but his necklace started to glow and move violently.

"The mark of a true wolf." The wolf said. "Brother, I knew you were one of us, so I passed down this necklace before I left. Sorry but I had to make it seem like I died." Robert looked up at his sister and felt his vision blur. He realized that he was transforming.

"I wanted to leave you with one of my most valuable objects before I left on the boat trip. I never knew I would drown during that trip. I took off my necklace in hope of someone finding it. I am glad it was you. Treasure it always, this is my last message." The wolf smiled warmly at him and Robert felt his skin becoming hotter. "I will, I won't forget you." Robert said melancholy.

Robert kneeled onto the water and noticed his hand was turning into a paw and his fingers into claws. His pants started to move out and rip his pants while fur was spreading over his body to cloth him. Robert's feet started to turn into a paw and claws while his nose jutted out into a muzzle.

Robert's eyes turned ocean blue and fangs started to form where his teeth once were. Robert felt his paw slipping from his sister's grasp as she started to disappear. Her image started to fade and blur. Robert noticed he was a full wolf now. His fur was an ocean blue and white lines formed where the white lines where on his sister. The lines also swirled around and in circles. "What should I do now?" Robert's sister looked down on him and said "A clue will be at a forest by a lake. There you will find answers." There is a forest down by the school a lake Robert always threw rocks into. She looked down at Robert and smiled. "Goodbye Robert, I hope we will meet again soon."

Robert reached a paw out to catch her but she faded away into darkness. Robert looked down at his reflection and noticed he was not human anymore. He wrote a letter to his parents, "Dear Mom and Dad, if you are reading this it means I have ran away from home to figure out my destiny. I thank you for the times you took care of me when I was sick and fed me when I was hungry. I will be back to see you again I promise but for now it is goodbye."

Robert walked down the beach and wondered what he got into this time.
