Oh, Mer

A nine foot six inch humanoid with the general body type of a grizzly but the head and tail of a wolf with an elaborate head covering that covers his left eye like some high fashion pirate eye patch and wearing a suit of armor made from shark skin with a net of razor wire on his belt and his right hand has been replaced with a strange weapon that includes a triangular blade and twin scything blades flanking it to make a kind of trident washes up on a sandy beach. Slowly but surely the wolf-bear awakens and realizes he is no longer floating in the water. He groans as he picks himself up off the beach floor and looks around himself.

Groggily he stumbles up the beach with rocks that tower over him carved to look like either tikis or moais with neither rhyme nor reason given to who carved them or why. As much as he admires carvings the pirate soon notices movement beneath the sands out of the corner of his remaining eye. A pair of crabs standing about half his height which still makes them giant compared to most normal crabs shake off the sand and come at him aggressively.

"Great," he tells himself, "I just woke up and already I'm in trouble. Alright, ye bastards, come on!" They try and grab his legs with their claws. "Oh, no you don't!" He growls and jumps back, using the trident claw replacing his right hand to slice at one of the claws. "I'm not yer breakfast, crabby! But I think I'll make you mine!" He laughs at his own joke and manages to slice off a claw from the one. "How did ye like that, vermin?!" He sneers. "It will take more than you to bring the likes of me, Kodyax Zavaj, down yer gullets!" He then brings his weapon hand down hard on the carapace of the one he wounded and it shudders before collapsing where Kodyax strikes it again to make sure it's dead. "One down; one to go..." The other one grabs his leg and begins to squeeze. "Still hungry are we?" Kody asks factiously as he knows it can't answer him. "Chew on my trident claw!" He then stabs the mandibles of the monster and it releases him. "Oh, no, yer getting off that easy!" Royally pissed now, Kodyax attacks the other crab with his full fury. "I'm gonna have crab meat for lunch too!"

Further up on the beach Kodyax finds a cave that looks like it was inhabited once with a fire pit and some mats that could have been bedding at some point. A part of him thinks he should explore the cave a little further but his hunger gets the best of him and he goes looking for some kindling and firewood so he can cook the remains of the crabs so he can regain his strength. Palm tree fronds are easily enough to find as are sticks from hardy bushes which will serve his purposes nicely when he sets everything for a good fire and fishes his pockets and pouches for some flint and steel to make a spark.

Making a good cook fire is easy enough for the pirate as he does his best to cook his meal quick enough to stave off starvation for now. All the while as he prepares and eats his meal Kody feels eyes upon him that he cannot discern to whom they belong. He is just about ready to chalk these feelings up to his own sense of paranoia from living the pirate lifestyle when he hears some sloshing towards the back of the cave and decides to investigate once he has finished eating.

In the back of the cave is a deep pool with a tunnel that leads back to the ocean itself large enough for him to swim through if he needed a quick exit from the cave for some odd reason. He also finds tracks leading to other parts of the cave system; tracks in the way of trails of water left by something or someone dragging a wet body around. Following the tracks brings him full circle back to the cook fires where he discovers a weird kind of alternative mermaid helping herself to his leftovers.

From the waist up she is a beautiful Gothic human with pale white skin, ebony tresses and eyes to match; from the waist down her body is that of an octopus, inky black like a midnight sky with a height of five inches beyond four feet. Upon seeing him, the mermaid beckons him to join her and when he does so she kisses his groin in such a way that she suggest he doff his pants so she can service him. Warily he does as asked and is treated to having his scrotum suckled as well as his sheath before his member is properly enticed out to be played with.

Her hands massage his ball sack as she suckles him to complete hardness, whereupon she climbs up his legs with her tentacles and impales herself along his length and makes pleasure noises as she does so. Kodyax consults his own mental library to figure out just what might be going on here and remembers that mermaids are called in one legend "Sea Nymphs" with their own aquatic courts; within which those with an octopus half instead of a fish half being treated as some human courts would treat a dwarf: an object of mockery and scorn that is kept around to amuse the nobles as something to laugh at. Which begs the question of where might the other mermaids be?

Kodyax can feel himself getting sleepy after filling the mermaid with his seed and she has a hungry look in her eyes the he does not trust. As a ranger he knows fey can be fickle and this one could just as easily smother him in his sleep as he finds a bed chamber with a sliding stone door which he finds odd but he manages to extricate himself from the mermaid long enough to enter and shut the door behind him. He also manages to puzzle out that there is an arcane lock on the door that needs a spell cast from him to activate and after burning the spell energy he feels secure enough to nap as the mermaid wails her discontent outside the room.

The dark dream Kodyax receives while sleeping is rather disturbing as he finds himself naked and tied down as a small group of the mermaid he just had sex with are shaving off his fur while they take turns riding his pole. Once all of his fur and hair are removed they slaver a glaze on his body and shove sticks in his cock to keep it erect. Finally a spit is shoved up his tail hole until it comes it comes out his mouth before his wrists and feet at secured and they cook him for their supper.

He awakens with a start and realizes some horror stories he has heard from sailor's tales of the cannibalistic leanings of mermaids in certain regions. He walks over to his pants and finds the rucksacks he attaches to the belt still in place. From the one rucksack he pulls map after map of the where he thinks he is and studies them only to find this island is uncharted as coincidence would have it but then he pulls scrolls after putting the maps away and compares the features described on them to what he knows of his surroundings and comes to the dark conclusion that the ship that floundered in the storm and marooned him here was indeed traveling through what is known as the Sea of Cannibals.

In the distance Kodyax can smell the scent cooking meat which worries him as he gets dressed and goes to investigate. What he finds is an evil barbecue in progress as great shark like sea trolls and their lesser kin the shark and octopus goblins are roasting other survivors from the doomed voyage he had the misfortune of signing on with. All the pirates have been stripped nude and are in bony cages indicating that this has either gone for many years or there were a lot more survivors initially than the fifteen that occupy the five cages presently.

Twin rabbit sisters, an alligator and three herm cobras are currently roasting in the fire pit while the three sea trolls, two males and a female, are playing with a stallion. One of the trolls is fucking his tail hole as the horse is forced to suck the other male's cock while the female is riding his schlong for her own pleasure. Four of the five shark goblins are raping a raccoon, a vixen, a mouse and a mink in preparation for their turn on the spits while the fifth is butchering a turtle that has already been cooked. The ten octopus goblins are attending the spits of those cooking with the occasional sampling as they randomly slice of a set of balls, a cock or a boob off of a random victim to satiate their own hunger.

Kodyax is a hero after a fashion, but being heroic does not mean throwing your life away needlessly. He knows his limitations and this situation is one he cannot handle alone. He also knows that there is no help to be found on the island as folk native to this region tend to regard visitors as menu items.

A mermaid flags his attention in a shallow bay near the cave where he is currently living and against his better judgment, he wades over to see what she wants. Her bottom half is ichthyoidal with shimmering red scales and long flowing hair to match contrasting her white marble like skin. Her red eyes regard him lustfully as she licks her lips at his approach.

"Hello, Sailor!" The mermaid says lustfully and reaches for his groin. "When did you get to our little island?"

"Just recently, ma'am," Kodyax replies as he fondles her breasts, "I am assuming this island is connected in some way to the aquatic courts of the fey lords?"

"Ah," the mermaid exclaims, "so you are a Wave Warden! Welcome to Vault Island, I am Syren, one of the keepers of the region."

"Well, met, Syren, I am Kodyax," Kodyax states.

"Come and know me better, Warden Kodyax," Syren commands as she opens her scales to reveal a pussy for him to fuck.

Kodyax needs no further invitation as he starts to press her against the rock she was sitting on as he shoves his soft sword into such a willing sheath. Syren moans with pleasure as the Wave Warden fills her inside with his prick and arcs her back so he lick and suckle at her tits. Everything is more or less until the afterglow.

"You need to meet my pet," Syren giggles.

"Your, 'pet'?" Kodyax asks incredulously as Syren blows on a conch shell which summons a 333 foot tall tyrannosaurus rex with rough green scales to which Kody replies: "Bye!" And runs away in an effort to get away and thus ensure he doesn't become a light snack for the beast.

Syren giggles as the monster dinosaur marches inland to look for its sacrifice and finds the troll barbecue. Fortunately for Kody it stops looking for him and eats them. However, he does not stop running until he reaches a volcano on the other side of the island.

There is smoke rising from the stack but there aren't many other indications to Kody's knowledge that the volcano is an active one. A hidden doorway leads to the interior where a kind of steam factory is in production as sea water is pumped into mix with the lava and power all sorts of devices, plasma lanterns being the least of these. Many of the devices seem to be older and of higher tech than the methods being used to power them which gets Kodyax to wondering who is here and what are they doing when he notices that carved into the inside of the door he came into the facility is the symbol of the very organization he ultimately works for.

Intrigued by the presence of the Wave Wardens, Kodyax decides to have a look around to see if this is a new facility or an older abandoned one. There is a great mixture of materials but the improvisation at work throughout is expertly rendered so while much looks jury rigged it is actually quite sturdy and in good working order as far as the ranger can tell. An oncoming rumbling makes him nervous as he looks for a good place to hide, and he finds a storage closet of gears, glass and assorted bits of metal to duck into before the maker of the sounds he is hearing gets close enough to see him if it has the intelligence to be perceptive.

Kodyax endeavors to stay hidden while looking out for whatever thing is getting closer to his position and finds spy holes along the wall leading up the concealed door that he stumbled through to get in the chamber he currently finds himself in. A clockwork gorilla of the non-anthropomorphic sort ambles in whose size is much like that of King Kong but bearing the Wave Warden emblem stamped into the plating of his outer shell in numerous places. Its eyes light the way before it and it seems to be on patrol because it walks up to the door Kody initially came in and then turns and leaves.

Now Kody's interest is really piqued as he follows the giant automaton further into facility. A steam powered giraffe spots him on sentry and honks an alarm until the lupursyn ranger turns around and doing so brings his own badge of office within the Wave Wardens organization to bear which shuts off the alarm as if the base is now on alert but a set of chimes ring sound in place of the horns of alarm as if announcing that the intruder detected is a fellow Wave Warden. Orbs of glass with multi-color lights within float over to orbit Kodyax for a moment and then fly off.

The presence of sentry orbs puts Kody's mind somewhat at ease as they are a kind of construct that only spellcasters affiliated with his order know how to make which means whoever lives here is a fellow Wave Warden although that in and of itself does not necessarily mean much. Stationary bikes are set up in a few key places that Kodyax tries out for the heck of it and finds that his work on those bikes powers up batteries through out the factory but from the indicators as he understands it he can produce a lot of stored energy very quickly and in the interest of not overloading the system he only does a little at each station. In fact there are areas where he needs to ride the bike for a little bit in order to power the magnets that pull up stairs or platforms that allow him to go further in the facility without risking falling into the lava and killing himself.

Finding the living genius keeping the factory isn't exactly hard although it does take some looking around and exploring. In an undersea bay enclosed with enchanted glass a lady ferret works on a large submarine that looks like an amalgamation of various incarnations of Nemo's nautilus in a configuration mimicking the form of a trilobite, a primitive arthropod still found in some extreme places of the world. The sub is big enough for him to fit inside easily but the ferret herself is the opposite of him in height so for her it does not need to be that big.

"Oh, hello!" The ferret says in surprise when she finally notices Kody in the room. "You're a big guy, but I see you're a fellow Wave Warden...I'm Kazzavra, alchemist, and you are?"

"Kodyax, a ranger," Kody says with a smile. "Nice to finally meet you Kazzavra."

"Likewise, Kody, you can call me Kazz if you like," Kazzavra beams. "How did you get here?"

"I washed up on shore a couple of days ago," Kodyax admits. "How did you get here?"

"I activated a gateway that brought me here and then promptly shut down on me afterwards," Kazzavra states. "I haven't been able to get it to even light up since."

"You work with the Scavengers digging up Ancient Artifacts and try to get them working again don't you?" Kodyax asks.

"Yup!" Kazz beams. "The entrance point to the gateway that sent me here was part of the archaeological excavations. I didn't even realize what I had stepped until it was too late."

"If you have your journal, I would hope you recorded that for future reference," Kody teases. "And for the reference of our fellow members and our friends."

"Yeah, I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget," Kazz says ruefully. "But I managed to get this place up and running for the most part. You've been riding the bikes I take it?"

"Yeah, were they here when you got here or did you put them in?" Kodyax asks.

"They were here when I got here actually," Kazzavra admits. "The whole factory is mostly the working of the ancient ones. Including this submarine, I've been looking at alternative ways of getting it powered up."

"How big is the capacitor?" Kody asks. "I've been founding that I can fill the gauges with minimal effort so far."

"I've been here several months and can barely set the gauges to quarter to half capacity which gets them working for a few minutes for a few hours worth of work."

"In the span of a bout half an hour I get a full charge on one and some of them have some overcharge capacity so I can spend an hour or so on the bike and get it ramped out so I think it's still running hours after I leave." Kodyax boasts.

"Let's get inside the sub so you can show me," Kazzavra says with a little annoyance in her tone of voice.

"Alright," Kodyax says amicably before he tries the bike in the sub. "this one is hard to turn."

"I can't get it turning at all," Kazzavra states. "But you look like you're a lot stronger than me."

It takes Kodyax a full hour to fully charge the battery and after a second hour of work it registers an overcharge that makes it's output ultra effective. Kazzavra checks on the drainage of power and its very, very slow with the overcharge and estimates that unless they need a lot of energy to power more than a few things at once the battery should last all day and maybe into two days. As the realization of what that could mean hits them the pair start to make plans to escape the island using the submarine.

Kazzavra compiles her notes and stores them aboard the ship while Kodyax starts to swim out and challenge some of the larger edible fish so the pair has enough to eat for the long voyage to civilization. Although it's not long after he starts this that Kazzavra realizes something else as she looks over the collection of dildos she's been using to help maintain her sanity: Kody is straight and has no mate so getting him to fuck her shouldn't be too hard. Despite the fact that he had fun with two varieties of mermaids previously, it doesn't take much for him to accede to her request for sex as with the ferret the lupursyn knows she isn't going to want to eat him afterwards.

The night before they plan on leaving, Kodyax cooks up shark steaks for them and for her desert Kazzavra helps herself to Kodyax's crème with fellatio. Kodyax has some of her juices as an after dinner snack as well as they pleasure each other into climax. After the first helping they take a bit of a break as Kazzavra is a little overwhelmed at performing a sex after not having someone to really play with for so long.

In the interim, Kodyax licks and suckles at Kazzavra's tits which she moans about noisily. Kazzavra sets a timer on the outside so that in the morning the sub pen will be flooded and the base will mostly shut down before they move on to round two of lovemaking. Kodyax is longer and thicker than any male Kazzavra has been with and her dildos are shamed by the girth of him inside of her.

Kodyax takes his time with Kazzavra, thrusting in deeply and then receding to near egress before sliding back in fully. His scrotum light slaps against her pussy lips as the fucks her this way and she just lays there and moans her satisfaction as the larger male is blowing her mind. When he finally does climax within her they both fall into a kind of sex induced coma.

The next morning Kodyax goes back to work on the bike to keep up the power supply as Kazzavra turns on the machine as well as opens the doors to the outside so the submarine can get on its way. While Kody keeps the power coming steadily as needed, Kazz directs the energies generated to where they have to go from the control room. The sub glides out effortlessly and even gracefully as they get their trip back to a Wave Warden station under way.

Sea trolls watch the submarine as it makes its escape and swim over to get a closer look. Kazzavra activates an electrical field around the ship to make sure they don't get too close and Kodyax gives her extra power for that field. The doors to the hidden base close behind them so the sea trolls can't find out where the ship came from and wait for less well protected vessels to pass by so they can have sentient prey for dinner as the Wave Wardens just keep going, the screws of the sub turning with great efficiency to push the ship along.
