Pokemon: new evolutions

You know the drill, I do not own any part of pokemon or the series but this story belongs to me. Now onto the story.

"Come on, Get out of my way. I don't want any trouble" a pokemon trainer named Leon shouted at a young man blocking his way to a bridge crossing a waterfall. "No way. Pay the bridge bandit $100 to cross or else prepare to fork over your poke balls" said the young man smugly going by the name of 'bridge bandit'. "No way, how's about we fight for them instead. I win you let me pass". "Fine but if I win you have to hand over all of your pokeballs and whatever money you have on you". "Fine, but I'm going to use my best pokemon to beat to beat you. Go Ninetales" Leon shouted chucking his pokeball to reveal a beautiful white Ninetales with nine long flowing tails. "Hah, I can match that. Go Arcanine" he chucked his pokeball to reveal an Arcanine that would be mistaken for a male given how beefed up it looked and was sporting one or two battle scars, but was in fact a female.

********************************************************************* After about twenty minutes of fighting, both pokemon where starting to get tired. "Why don't you just give it up already. Just join my master and you will get far stronger then your trainer can make you" Arcanine said to Ninetales. "No thanks, I think I'm good just the way I am. Besides, I will never abandon my master for someone like him" Ninetales said panting with her tongue hanging out of her mouth.

"I think it's time we put this to an end pal" Leon said. "Couldn't of said it any better myself. Arcanine Fire Blast". "You too Ninetales" Leon shouted. The two intense attacks clashed and the resulting impact made a small explosion which made the bridge start to crack. "Whoa" Leon exclaimed jumping back, and the bridge bandit did likewise. Unfortunately for the Ninetales and Arcanine the bridge started to collapse before they could make it to safety plunging them into the raging rapids below. "NINETALES-ARCANINE" both trainers shouted as they disappeared. ********************************************************************* The two pokemon tried to fight against the current but it was useless. In the end all they could do was let it take them with it. Eventually they came up against a rock fall that left an opening just too short for them to go through. And with no way out of the rapids there situation was looking increasingly hopeless. "I have an idea" Ninetales said. "If we can heat the rocks up enough then they will crack with the combination of hot and cold and hopefully give way". "Fine, but don't think that we're friends of anything. If you had just done what I said then this could have been avoided" the Arcanine glowered. "Why don't we argue later, I don't know how much longer I can keep my head above water. Ready .GO" and with that she started breathing intense heat onto the rocks, followed closely by Arcanine. After what seemed like hours but where in fact only minutes, the rocks started to crack. "Now lets both use Fire Blast. If we do it right we can break through the weakened rock". "Fine. NOW" they both let forth a fire blast that exploded just before the rock and they got swept away with the current. "Hey, it worked Ninetales" Arcanine shouted. "Huh? Ninetales? She asked puzzled when there was no answer and saw that she had lost consciousness after doing the move. "Shit" she barked before diving under to try and find her. She resurfaced with an unconscious Ninetales in her mouth. "You aren't getting out of our rematch just like that bitch, you here me" she growled through clenched teeth.

They eventually reached a type of hidden cave that Arcanine could drag themselves into. "Phew, made it" she breathed a sigh of relief but then noticed that she wasn't breathing. She looked around for the source until her eyes fell upon a big purple gem embedded into the wall. With no apparent sun to cause the gem to shine she took a closer look which brought her into the light that was seemingly emanating from it. "Wow, this actually feels quite good. "Huh, did she hurt herself, nah too precise for an injury. Arcanine just about fell backwards again to the sight that greeted her. "What happened to me" she said quietly. "I don't know, although I think that gem and light has something to do with our transformation". "I think maybe your right. Hey do you think this is where evolution stones used to come from" Arcanine wondered aloud. "Maybe, given how it has sort of changed our appearance. Hey I don't think going back in the light is a good idea, no telling what further effects it might have on us" Ninetales cautioned Arcanine as she went back into the light. "But it feels so good, like basking in the sun except it feels like it is seeping into every part of my body" she partly moaned as she stretched feeling the gems energy flow into her. Arcanine looked around noticing how dull it was now there wasn't the light from the gem to illuminate the cave, and at damp and musty it was. "Alright, lets get out of here" she smiled. "On the count of three lets do hyper beam on that cracked section there, one, two, Now" they both shot beams from there mouths at the section she had indicated and with a mighty blast the section was gone. Hand in hand and tails wrapped around each other they made there way out into the daylight.
