First off, I don't own any Digimon series. However, I do own the char named Alphonse and Amelia in this series. I apologize first hand if there are Spelling and/or grammar errors because English is my second (Probably except dialogs). All introductions are similar to the previous chapters. Anything Else, please enjoy.

Chapter 54: Full Intuition in Dreamless Sleep.

Back in Gennai's mansion around evening, Al and the Junior Destinies reported their mission to Gennai and the senior Destinies. They were also surprised to hear the aftermath of the mist to Al. He told him that the hooded figure choked him just the same as when he dream about it last night. He also told them the message. "I will be the last of the list."

"I, as in the hooded figure itself?" Gennai asked Al.

"Actually, it said 'you will be' which mean, me." Al explained to him.

"But what does it mean 'last of the list'?" Izzy asked in confusion.

"You got me." Al replied. "Heck, I don't even know any of it mean." Everyone was frowned with his answer.

"Right, let's put this 'list' on our next topic for tomorrow. For now, let's hit the hay." Gennai announced while clapping his hand. "Meeting's adjourn."

"All right, nap time." Guilmon replied as he laid himself on the futon.

Everyone laughed by Guilmon's juvenile act. But Al's smile soon faded still thinking about the list the hooded figure mentioned. 'One thing that I know, I shouldn't let my guard down.' He thought. He suddenly got a cold shiver. 'I've got a bad feeling about this.' He thought again as he ready to turn himself to bed along with half of the Destinies.

At midnight in random forest in unknown land, a disastrous event struck in the heart of the forest. Many Digimons in various species, such as beast, plants, insects, even avian species, were running away from something. While they were running, a golden staff lunges toward the fleeing Digimons and pierced the Digimon's head at the tree. The Digimon is instantly dead and dispersed into data. The scattered data flowed into one place that was shrouded in darkness. When the data gathered inside the darkness, a figure shone in pure darkness. The figure itself is the same figure as the one the Destinies were after, the hooded figure.

The hooded figure chuckled a bit and raised its hand and summoned three fire foxes from its cloak. The foxes were scattered around the forest and collide at random places, causing massive explosion that killed any unfortunate Digimons in the way. Again, data pieces emerge from within the forest and the hooded figure absorbed the data. It took more time for a massive data sipped into its body, but it was worth it. Finally, the hooded figure laughed to its heart content with a massive, heavy, sore, cold, male voice. The hooded figure teleported out from the forest, leaving terror to the Digimons that survived the massacre.

Back at the mansion, most of the Destinies sound asleep after having a rough day. But one is still awake, as he toss and turn around his futon from left to right and vice versa. Even if he could sleep, he will awake 30 minutes later. Another Digimon noticed his insomnia problem. "Having trouble sleeping, Alphonse?" the sleepy feminine voice asked the insomnia Digimon.

The insomnia Digimon named Al looked at another Digimon that ask him, who's very familiar to him. "A bit, Amelia." He replied with a sigh. "I just can't stop thinking about the list that hooded figure mentioned. It really disturbed me and I have a bad feeling about it."

"Please worry not." Amelia replied as she got closer to hug him. "You must rest for tomorrow."

Al felt the warmth sipping through his body when Amelia, the emerald eye Renamon, hugged him. He suddenly felt sleepy and his eyes couldn't restrain anymore. "I'll... try..." Al simply answered tiredly and falls back to sleep again.

Amelia gave a small relief sigh and put Al back to his futon. She also laid next to him on the same futon. She caressed his cheek to calm him more. Al simply leaned to her arm like an Earth feline. Amelia simply chuckled quietly. 'Alphonse, you are the youngest and bravest cub I've ever known. Even though danger lurks to harm you, you always face forward. I am honored to be your partner, friend, and maybe a lover, master.' She thought while looking at Al's innocent face. She slowly kissed his forehead and Al wiggled after it. She pulled the blanket to cover both of them and snuggled up to comfort herself to sleep.

Night turned into morning, and everyone except Al already woke up to do their respective chore. Amelia is already awake but she insists to stay with him. The Destinies who wanted to tease or wake him ended with shush from Amelia. Al finally awake after an hour and a half later by nudging faintly on Amelia. Amelia smiled and kissed him on the forehead. Al was caught by surprise a bit with the wakeup call. "Good morning, Alphonse." Amelia greeted him.

Al slowly opened one of his eyes to see who greet him. His vision is still a bit woozy, but he could tell it was Amelia by yellow fur, slightly white on the ear and a faint dark green eyes. "I am groaning, not moaning." Al mumbled teasingly at her.

"Sounds a little off, don't you think?" Amelia giggled.

"I know." Al replied as he is turning around in his futon. "I'm just teasing you." Al let out a huge yawn from his maw. "What are you doing in my bed?"

"I can see you are more relaxed when I'm close to you, so I help myself." She replied and slowly got up from his futon. "So how are you this morning?"

'Oh yeah, I couldn't sleep last night.' Al thought while yawning again. "I slept like a log." He answered. His eyes suddenly opened wide as he just remembered something.

"That is good." Amelia smiled at him.

"And also bad," Al continued her sentence. "I had a dreamless sleep and that is not a good sign." He quickly got up and walked to the door. He ran to the monitor room just to see Kazu is ready to evolve his partner Guardromon.

"Hey, you awake." Kazu greeted. "Good morning, kiddo."

"Morning, Kazu." Al shortly greeted. "Please Guardromon, I need to check out something for the last nine hours."

"Sure thing." Guardromon replied in metallic voice. "What kind of things would you like to check?"

"Something out of the ordinary and it is either in the game or in the Digital World." Al answered seriously.

Guardromon and Kazu saw the serious look in Al's eyes and they gave the same serious look. "Alright, please let me evolved into Andromon and I will speed up the process." Guardromon replied. He looked back at Kazu and he gave a confirmation nodded. He took his D - Server and point at Guardromon. He channeled his will power and the D-Server started to beep. The screen suddenly flashing with a text 'Matrix Evolution' and Guardromon is cast with ribbon data. The cocoon data slowly dispersed and there stood taller than Kazu is Andromon. Andromon moved to obtain some wires and attached into himself.

Amelia came to the monitor room after folding Al's and her futon. She wanted to ask Al about his dreamless sleep when she saw that Andromon grabbed some wires and attached to himself. "Is there something wrong, Al?" She finally asked after seeing Andromon starts busying himself.

Al looked at Amelia at the door and then looked back to Andromon. "I sometimes had a bad vibe when I have no dream." Al seriously answered her question. "And sometimes it was rarely true. Let's just hope it is just my paranoia."

Al, Kazu, Amelia and Andromon keep on focusing on the search inside the game first and it is just 3 percent progress.

On the hall way, Wormmon has been assign to mop the wooden floor near the monitor room. He is dedicated to his task that he is angry when Calumon suddenly running around carrying a fresh unfold laundry sheet and Coronamon chase after him. "I just mopped there." Wormmon yelled at both of them.

"Sorry!" Coronamon replied and turn on the corner. As for Calumon, he only giggled while running with a sheet.

Wormmon gave a sigh because someone ruining his effort but he keep on mopping until he reached at the monitor room. He accidently looked inside and saw Al and Amelia are awake with their back facing him. "Good morning, Alphonse." He greeted. But Al didn't notice because he is too focusing on the search. He shrugged and continued his work. After he finished the mopping for about 15 minutes, he grabbed the bucket and tossed the water into the yard only to be turned as water bubbles inside the lake. He went back to the kitchen just to see Ken reading some newspaper with his warm green tea on the table and Juri washing the dishes with Yolei.

Ken was busy reading the newspaper that he didn't realize that Wormmon entered the kitchen to stash in the bucket and the mop. When he flipped the paper, he saw glimpse of forest green wandering to the sink. "Oh Wormmon, are you finished with your chores for today?" He asked while greeted him.

"I'm done for today, Ken." He answered while stowing the bucket and mop inside the closet. "Al is finally awake, though."

"Oh... Where is he now?" Yolei asked him.

"He is in the monitor room with Amelia. But, he seems so focus that he didn't heed my greeting." He answered and walks toward Ken.

"That is unusual. He overslept and miss breakfast." Ken simply replied. "Ready for work?" Wormmon nodded and Ken took out his D - Server and scanned him in.

"I'll make some rice balls for them, have fun you two." Juri volunteered and washed her own hand. Ken simply waved them and went out to the portal. Juri prepared a dish and looked in the rice cooker. The amount of the rice can make at least two medium size portions. She made two medium size rice balls and took it to the monitor room for Al and Amelia eat.

Juri walked to the monitor room and peer a bit from the door. She indeed saw Al and Amelia in the monitor room looking on the large screen, as well as Kazu. "Morning, Al, Amelia. I hear that you are here." Juri greeted them. "I brought some breakfast for you two."

Amelia heard her faintly and look away from the screen. She indeed saw Juri carrying a plate with odd food for her. "Morning Juri. I didn't realize you coming. What is that?" Amelia asked her.

"It's a rice ball we called Onigiri." Juri replied while placing a plate on the vacant space table. "What are you two doing in the monitor room?"

"Not me, Alphonse told me that he had a bad vibe and ask Andromon to look for any unusual things." She replied while pick one rice ball. She sniffed it for a bit and took a bite. There is a slight salty taste which is enough flavors for any plain rice.

"What do you mean?" Juri asked her than looked at Al still focused on the screen. Amelia looked back as well and swift her vixen tail like a whip intentionally at Al.

Al snapped from his focus and looked who the culprit that whipped him. He saw it was Amelia. She looks angry a bit and there is Juri looking at him in confusion. "Morning, Juri. Why are you doing that, Amelia and what is that you are eating?" He asked while rubbing the pain.

"Just need some attention and this is rice ball." Amelia simply answered. "Juri asked you about your bad vibe."

"What... oh." Al suddenly realized that he is so focus on the search that he forgot his surroundings. "Sorry about that. I had a dreamless sleep last night. Whenever I had a dreamless sleep, it means that it is a bad sign. I've learned this when my father died."

"I've heard that your father died in the car crash form Rika." Juri remembered the story. Amelia just heard it and surprise.

"Yes, he was." Al sadly replied. "Since then I always paranoid whenever I had a dreamless sleep." Al sighed and rubbed his back head. "Most of it is just my paranoia and rarely true. I don't know."

"So that is why you are so focused on the screen. You were so cautious and proved it is just another false alarm." Juri concluded.

"That's the idea." Al agreed. "So I asked Andromon to scan for any unusual activities in around last night."

"So far we saw nothing." Kazu reported.

"The scanner shows nothing around the unprotected area inside the game or any similarity like the Dragon Valley you went yesterday." Andromon reported the progress.

"That is one down." Al relieved a bit.

"And the hardest part is just started." Andromon continued.

"Hardest?" Al asked in confusion.

"Finding any abnormalities in the Digital World is like finding a needle in a hay stack. At least that is what the human terms means." Andromon slightly looked at Al to answer his confusion and looked back to the screen. "It will take approximately one and a half hour to full scan the Digital World, unless we happened to scan in the right area by coincidence." Al groaned for the duration. "Worry not. If we find it in less than that, we will let you know."

Al thanked him for their efforts and accepting his plead. He looked back just to see Amelia finished her rice ball. As if on cue, his stomach starts rumbling. Juri, Amelia and Kazu looked at him and laughed. "I guess I need some breakfast right about now." Al blushed big time for it.

"It is way pass breakfast, Al. That is why I brought you rice balls." Juri answered while still holding her laughter.

"And I guess you won't have any if I eat the last one." Amelia teased him. "It is simple and tasty."

"Aw come on, Mel." Al protested.

"Too late." She stated when she took the last rice ball and walk outside the room. Al chased her for the last rice ball the rest is laughing by the scenery. And when they heard, "Come on, Mel. Give it back, I'm starving down here." Followed by, "Argh... You ate it!" that is when everyone laughed out loud.

Al came back with tears sipping out from his defeated eyes and as for Amelia, she gave a satisfied smile. Al wanted to ask some more of it but Juri only raised her hand telling him there is no more. His sorrow is doubled. Kazu gave sympathy to him. That's when he saw the D - Server. He remembered there is a food dispenser that creates tasteless meat. So he took his chance and pleaded at him. "Please you've got to let me in there. I'd rather eat that tasteless meat than starved by that mean fox."

Kazu only gave a defeated sigh and point the D - Server at Al. When the scanning is in process Al only gave thank you to Kazu and disappeared inside the D - Server. Inside the D - Server, Al rushed to the dispenser and ordered a regular size meat. When the meat appeared, he starts to chow down despite the tasteless texture.

"You shouldn't tease him like that, Amelia." Kazu sighed at her.

"You are right. I shouldn't, he has problems enough already since last night. He had trouble sleeping last night. That is why he overslept and I felt sorry for him." Amelia sighed as well. "At least, he is back a bit." Al gave a tongue to her.

By the time he almost finish the meat, Andromon called him. He found something unusual in the Woodland in the Digital World. He saw several craters indicating a fierce brawl occurred last night. "More like a massacre to me." Al corrected from inside the D - Server. "I'm done with the fast breakfast. Get me out and assemble the meeting. We are going to investigate this."
