Young Love

Chapter 15: Aftershock

By: Mirron Tenshi

A month goes by since the incident with Necro. Despite the personal event, Platinum returned to his monotone, borderline emotionless mood once more, which served as a bit of a relief to most, because Platinum's always made a point that emotions tend to serve as distractions, so it was good to see him not bothering to lose his edge. Without anyone knowing it, Platinum requested Allen and Max for a picture of Gary. The only reason he had was: By the end of the day, he wants at least one reason to keep fighting and living, to stay out of the void.

Anyway, shifting back to the lovebirds of this story. Mark, Jason, and Gary were given it easy at school, as it was they who escaped getting killed by being rescued by, as rumor has it, a white ninja. Of course, the students were eager to know what happened, but the three boys were reluctant to talk about it. After what happened, Mark and Jason were getting a little less heat for their being gay, not that they were getting bashed on a weekly basis, but just a little sympathy from the haters . . . For now anyway.

The lunch bell rang. Jason surprised Mark with a peck to his cheek. "Hi hun. How was history?" The fox shrugged and nodded. Jason didn't notice at all, but Mark was still lingering on what happened that day at the fair. Mark didn't say anything because he thought he should be over it by now.

"Can't wait for Summer Break . . ."

"Yeah! Just half a month left, babe!"

"Mhm . . ." So they got their lunch from the cafeteria and went outside to eat. The whole time they got their food, Mark was a bit preoccupied. This caught Jason's attention this time.

"You're a little quiet today, Mark. Are you ok?" The fox blinked, and shook a little.

"Y-Yeah . . . I'm fine, Jason." In truth, he was feeling apprehensive, shaky even. Ever since the fair, the fox has been looking over his back, looking for nothing in particular - except something or some one that may do them harm.

Later, the two finished lunch, and where heading outside to hang out with their friends. They caught up with the football team and chatted. As the young furs talked, Mark's eyes darted to his left, and he spotted a student he didn't know, sneaking up on someone else he's never met, with an inflated brown paper bag in one, and the other about to slap into it, and then-

POP!

"Ah! Dammit, don't do that!" The unfamiliar student shouted while the other was laughing. The fox's eyes went wide as his ears dropped down, and his nerves felt cold electricity.

-o-o-o-

A large paw was gripping Mark's neck, strangling him. As air was deprived from his lungs, his focus began to fade. The world was spinning in his eyes. He couldn't take a single breath. His sight was fading to blackness . . .

BANG!

His throat was released all of a sudden, him falling to the ground. The vulpine coughed and gagged as his sore lungs refilled with oxygen, his eyes recalling their focus again. The evil husky who was choking him was shouting angrily, but he can't focus what he was saying, he needed to help Jason!

-o-o-o-

Him, Jason, and Gary were surrounded by these furs who were wearing dark clothing with zany eyes wide crazy grins stitched on, each of the surrounding furs wearing half-butchered Halloween masks. His ankle moved, and the fox's ankle was grazed on by heated bite that came a second after a BANG.

Then Necro drew out his gun, and pointed at the huddled boys. Mark was shaking terribly as the weapon was clicked, ready to fire. When their predator had asked which one was first, Gary stepped up. Was he crazy?! Jason tried to stop him, but another POW rang out and whizzed just over his head. The fox's blood ran cold as fear gripped him like an anaconda.

When Gary was taken to the back room, there was a white blur at the far left of the room. The two young pups gasped as the blur turned into the crouching albino lion, his right arm swung like a crack of a whip, a glint of silver flashing before one of the goons gagged when his neck jerked out, and he dropped to the floor, dead.

"What the?! What's-"

"Platinu-" Jason was getting up, and one of the three goons that were there shot him in the leg. The husky yelped as his paws clutched his legs and he collapsed.

"JASON!" Mark went onto his lover. His ear's rotated and he looked as he saw one of the goons aim the gun at them. The fox cringed as he hugged the husky tightly. Before the goon had a chance to fire though, Platinum whirled the air and double-kicked the underling hard, making sure to hit a spot on the spine to immobilize him. As for the third and last goon, in a single movement to stand up, the lion swung his arms as he turned around, sending several spinning blades at him, doing some good internal as well as nerve damage. The lion then stood up. From each sleeve, a katana slipped down, and his paws took the handles before they could hit the ground. In an aloof manner, Platinum whirled on the spot, and appeared right at the door where Necro and Gary were.

The next few minutes were a blur to the fox as he just started at the ajar, watching and hoping that Platinum won't be defeated, for he was the only one at the moment who can save them.

Mark gasped when he saw the lion and hyena stab each other once at the same time. Necro bugged out and drew a hidden gun.

"Why-Won't-You-BLEEEEEEEEEEED!"

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

His stomach dropped and his senses went numb after the gunshots and seeing Platinum taking the bullets like an inanimate rag doll. All he could do was sit in horror as he broke into a panic meltdown.

-o-o-o-

"Mark? Mark! What's wrong?" Jason had his paw on his fox's shoulder, shaking him a little. Their friends stood there as well, staring, as the vulpine was pale under his orange fur. Mark was trembling uncontrollably as he broke into an icy cold sweat. His heart was going almost a mile a minute, which would explain his vague panting. "Mark . . . ?"

The fox took a few steps back. The poor boy was bordering on a panic attack. He took another step back.

"Mark, what's the matter?" The fox turned on his heel and sprinted away. "Mark! Wait! Mark!"

Mark ran as fast as he could, leaving Mariner's campus and dashing down the sidewalk. He voiced out his strained panting. He didn't what he was running from, or where he was running to, all he knew was that he needed to get away, before anyone can shoot him!

"MAAARK!" He could barely notice him, but Jason was sprinting after him, calling after him and telling him to stop, but Mark wouldn't listen.

He didn't stop running until his legs felt like molten lava. The fox fell to his knees next to a tree. His paws hit the grass while his backpack swung to the ground. Mark was practically hyperventilating, sweat dripped from his face and dampened his fur, his lungs were sorer than the time Roy tried to kill him.

The husky soon slumped down right next to him, panting and groaning. "Mark . . . What . . . Is going on . . . ?" The fox's attack got the better of him, and he started to cry hardly beyond his control.

"I can't-I can't take that noise! I can't stand it! I keep seeing your dad choking me! I-I-I keep seeing you get shot! I can't stop seeing Platinum get shot at! I keep seeing it all in my sleep! I can't take it any more! But they won't stop! They won't stop!" He cried hysterically as his paws held the back of his neck and he crouched forward. Jason's ears lowered. He had no idea Mark was feeling like this, holding it all back. The husky wrapped his arm around his fox as the quivering vulpine gasped, cried, panted, coughing, hardly able to compose himself at all. Frankly, Jason was able to put that incident out of his own mind; subconsciously, he refused to let an event like that have at him again, not after that whole fiasco with his father. And now Mark is on the ground, terrified and haunted by what had happened a month ago. Jason, Mark, and Gary were given a week off from school to recover from Necro's attempt, but it seems it wasn't enough.

The brown and white husky rubbed the fox's back, him still shaking and rasping from trying to cope with the trauma.

"My my. What a cluster of hyperactive negativity we have here." A dreamy male voice sounded from the young couple. Jason looked to see a black panther in a dark, rather sharp outfit. He looked sympathetically to the two pups.

"Who . . . Who are you?" The husky inquired.

A black Prius drove into the Kenson's driveway. The panther introduced himself as Shadow before he gave them a ride home. He carried Mark as Jason opened the door, who was passed out into a dreamless sleep from the feline's mystic eyes when they met with Mark's green ones. The lock to the knob clicked, and Jason opened the door, stepping back to let the panther in with his boyfriend.

"Up here . . ." The husky said as he closed the door and lead Shadow up the stairs and into their bedroom. The black feline entered, and gently placed the dormant boy onto the bed, where Jason climbed onto afterwards while the feline sat down and gently pet the fox.

"Poor boy . . . It would seem his fears have elected a leader at the most inopportune time." Jason looked to Shadow.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"In our lives, it is usually during when we are young when our inner demons chose a specific form or forms of which we are most afraid of. It must be a strong enough impact on us for it to become our weakness, and therefore hinder us in a way to hold us back. Ultimately, we strive in our lives, risking the gambit of facing our darkest dreads, whether or not we have grown to prepare ourselves for that battle. Unfortunately for this fox, his main phobia was chosen, and was forced into that personal conflict before he could try and prepare himself. It shows he had a happy childhood." The canine looked at the sleeping fox.

"But I don't get it, what was Mark so afraid of? And so much so that he wouldn't tell me?"

"Looking into his eyes to entrance him into sleep, I took a look into this year through his memory. He hardly noticed his fear until a little while, and it wasn't so horrific to be major problem."

". . . Before you found us, he did say something about a noise. But what noise could it be?"

"Think back to when his fear was at its peak before today. What happened during that time that made him drive to the high point of anxiety?" Jason thought for a minute.

"Well . . . The only other time I can think of is when my dad attacked us at the park that one time . . . But I still don't get it."

"That's alright. That riddle may be too cryptic for you. I saw that he had almost killed that day. In the height of that moment a sound broke the glacier and became his phobia." The husky thought a moment and looked up.

"When me dad was choking him, his dad shot the gun at my dad's ear."

"Precisely."

"So . . . Mark's afraid of gunshots? That does make sense, there was a point where we were shot at, and there was a good about of guns being shot."

"And something happened today that pulled the trigger to his pistol of anxiety."

"Well, what happened at that?"

"That is not important. What is important is that he needs to get away from his routine life until he is relieved from what is hindering him. I wish I may banish his hurt for him, but I cannot, for this is apart of growing up." Jason nodded and wrapped his arm on to his boyfriend. "I'll show myself out. Keep him safe." Shadow had then rose up and exited the room, and then the house.

Several hours later, Bill came home from work. "Jason?" He called out. The young husky came down the stairs in response to the older fox calling for him.

"Hi, Bill." Bill shrugged off his police jacket and set it onto the coat rack before turning back to the pup.

"So how's Mark doing?" He was very concerned for his son; Jason had called him earlier and told him about Mark's episode. A severe panic attack at the age of 16? This is hard to believe and hard to swallow for Bill.

"He's sleeping right now." The older fox sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Jason, I want to ask you something, and please be honest. Have you had any repercussions since that incident?" The husky shook his head.

"No, not at all. It was over and past, and my leg wound healed up. I don't even have any nightmares about it. And Mark hasn't told me a word of it this whole time. Did he say anything to you?"

"Not a word." Bill's ears drooped; he was supposed to be a responsible father, why didn't he see this coming? "I knew one week off might not have been enough, but I went with it anyway. And now my son's having an attack at an early stage of his life."

"Hey hey, Bill. It's not your fault. I'm with him all the time, I should've asked him more if there was anything wrong."

"It doesn't matter now anyway. I can't have Mark go on like this, or he'll rip his fur out." He then indicated the pup to follow him. "C'mon. I'll explain it to you both." Jason nodded and followed the father up the stairs. They carefully entered the room and approached the curled up fox. Bill sat down on the bed and stroked along his son's head and neck. Mark gradually woke up to his parent's soft petting.

"Hi dad . . ." He uttered weakly, mostly out of sleepiness.

"Hi Mark. Rough day, son?"

"Mhm." The little vulpine replied while nodding.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that, son. No kid your age should have an episode like that." Mark groaned a little.

"I just don't know how I'm gonna deal with the rest of the school year." Bill chuckled as he stroked his son's cheek.

"Well, you won't have to." Mark looked at Bill when he said that. "I called the school, and told them what Jason told me. Under the circumstances, they are excusing you two from the last 3 weeks of school and starting your Summer Break early." The fox's ears perked up as he lifted his head up, hardly able to believe he was being pardoned from school.

"R-Really, dad?" Bill chuckled a little more as he ruffled his boy's head fur.

"Yes, really. A nervous breakdown is the last thing a teenager needs in this day and age." Mark couldn't help but smile. "Not only that, but we're moving our Miami trip to next week." The younger fox gapped at his dad, getting excited in seconds.

"Wait, Bill, can Scott come too? Please?" The older fox smiled and scratched the backside of the husky's neck.

"Of course he can. I figure it'd be fun." Jason barked happily as his tail started wagging. Bill laughed a little before getting back up. "Now I've got to make arrangements for our flight now, and get Scott's information ready."

"Thanks so much, dad!"

"Thank you, Bill!" The father fox then gave both boys a kiss on their foreheads and left the room to make the arrangements.

Jason murred as he cuddled next to his foxy. He nuzzled his neck and nibbled on his ear. "Now that you're in a better mood, you want me to get frisky for you?" Mark murred a little, but he was all that up for a bang session at the moment.

"Actually, I'm not sure if I wanna, babe." The husky pouted before giving Mark big lick.

"Ok, then how about something simple?" The fox smiled as his doggie nibbled and gnawed on his shirt.

"Heheheheh, alright, alright, go ahead, puppy." Jason smirked and gave his fox another sloppy lick.

Jason had then put the fox lying on his belly. In a few minutes, the husky pulled down the fox's pants and threw them to the side, and then tugged his boxer shorts off, showing him that cute little fox rump, and not even bothing with his shirt. Mark couldn't help but giggle as he felt the canine's paw grope his naked globes, giving them a light smack. This was starting to make the fox hard.

"Now I'll show you why I've been snacking on oranges lately."

"Wait, what?" Mark the gasped as his fur stood on end. He squirmed a little as his musky anus was licked thoroughly by his husky. "Ahhh . . . ! Ohhh Jason . . ." He moaned out as the dog's tongue became very friendly with Mark's rear. The fox moaned, cooed, and giggled the sensitive crevice and both round cheeks were licked and groomed, while Jason was counting his lucky starts that his boyfriend kept himself extra clean in that area.

"Oh, hoh, hoh, ohh . . ." Mark huffed as his pucker was slurped "Aahhh!" He yelped and moaned out loud as his pink bud was pierced with the husky's saliva coated lance. The fox squirmed and writhed on the bed as he felt that tongue dart in and out of him, invading his perfectly clean innards. "Oh my god, Jason!" Mark moaned loudly and started to yelp as the tongue plunged into him and wriggled each time.

"Oh fuck, Jason!" Mark moaned more and more, and then yipped out when the husky's tongue brushed his young prostate. "Gaahh- JASAAAAAHHHHHHHHN!" Marked moaned out loud as he jerked on the bed, his member unloading all over his underbelly and sheets.

Sensing that his job was done, Jason slurped his tongue out, and crawled up and laid next to his boyfriend. Before anything else, the husky reached over and grabbed his box of mints. "Clean or not, I still want my mouth nice and minty when I kiss you." The fox chuckled and panted as he heard Jason pop a couple of tablets into his mouth and crunched. Then, Jason took off his clothes, except his boxers, and slipped into bed with his half nude boyfriend. In minutes, both pups snuggled close, and fell asleep in each other's loving arms.
