Noelle shifted in her seat on the bus, clearly a bit fussy this morning. It was only about 7:30 and already she was starting to get riled up. She sighed and bumped her head against the window pane, shifting her glasses a bit. Hearing a noise, she looked at Drew and Abby, cuddling with each other on the bus, a new couple. Noelle suddenly had a smirk on her face when she noticed that Drew had let his hands slip a little bit down to Abby's waist... much to Abby's enjoyment. Noelle smiled and looked away, just letting them have their fun.

The scenes shifted past her eyes, house after house after house, as she looked outside. Her wet nose pressed against the glass, leaving a small foggy imprint on it. It was a cold morning which didn't bode well for her since she had forgotten to put on a bra for her large D size jugs. She would have to wait until she got to her locker where she kept a spare for an occasion like this.

A bump on the seat suddenly brought her back to reality and she looked next to her, looking at a very pleased and slightly red Abby. She smiled and stretched herself against Noelle. "Hey girrrrrrrrl!" Noelle giggled and responded the same way back, readjusting herself in her seat.

Abby smelled nice today, the faint scent of her arousal and a small bit of some perfume mixed together in something that was pleasing in a few ways. Of course, Noelle ignored it and just simply patted down her short skirt a bit. Abby noticed this however and was pleasantly surprised. "My my my... someone got bold today!"

Noelle flushed a bit red and used her finger to fix her glasses. "Well, I thought it was going to be warmer so..." She stopped there to clear her throat and scratch her fur under her neck a bit. It was true though. She rarely, if ever, wore short skirts mostly due to self-consciousness. She never thought herself pretty or sexy in any way and usually dressed in clothes that covered a lot of her body. However, due to a combination of false weather reports and nothing else to wear, Noelle had a maroon red skirt on with her white and red sneakers and a fitting white and red shirt.

Admiring her best friend, she looked her up and down, poking at different parts of her, eventually giving her a small sniff. "Hm... you feel and smell like a fox..." Noelle smiled and pushed her playfully, Abby smirking back. Noelle sighed then and readjusted herself, looking at herself in the window's reflection.

Her body wasn't thin, but she wasn't fat either. She was what she called "healthy without the seconds at dinner". Her height was average, about 5'7" which just made her skinnier than what her weight would actually say. Eyes were normal, in color and shade. "A muddy brown with a black rock in the middle" as she liked to put it.

Her fur though was something a bit more unique, although she hated it when she observed her body. She used to be a bright red red fox at birth, a very healthy and lively color. Her parents were so proud and cherished Noelle over the years as she grew up. However, after awhile, her fur got darker and darker until it became a brown-red color and the white in her ears and on her tail turned a light gray. Kids picked on her in school shortly after and she became much more self-conscious of herself, trying not to interact with people if she could help it. Luckily Abby stuck to her side and was her greatest friend despite the others... and happened to be her only friend.

Abby noticed Noelle was getting into one of her funks and hugged her tightly and lovingly. "Aw girl, please don't go there again... Anyways, today is a new semester so think of the positives, hm? After all, I hear you have Chemistry next... Do you know what that means?" Noelle looked at her and slowly shook her head, honestly having no clue. Abby squeezed her friend tight and smiled. "It means lab partners! That means you get to have somebody as your partner for a whole semester..."

Abby rolled her right hand a bit at Noelle, who gave her a look like she didn't follow one bit. Abby groaned and pointed at her nose. "BOYS! Jeez! Get some hot guy to be your partner, get your little..." she then motioned her hands all over Noelle's body. "'social bubble' burst, then get him to be your bf! Trust me girl..." she looked behind her at Drew, who smiled and gave a small wave. Abby giggled a bit and returned her gaze at Noelle. "Just trust me. You want a boyfriend." She noticed they were in front of the school and stood up, helping Noelle. "Just promise me you will try, alright hun?"

Noelle sighed, but smiled anyways, nodding a bit. Abby had been pushing Noelle for years to get herself out there more, mostly ending in failure. Noelle wasn't sure what her friend had up her sleeve this time... or... maybe there was nothing at all. Noelle didn't know. All she knew was that, besides the odd looks Abby and her new boyfriend got, it was going to be a fairly normal day. At least, she hoped it was going to be.

Unfortunately, Noelle had forgotten about her braless chest area and was soon wondering why so many people were looking at her swiftly, the swiftly away in a face of red. Noelle cocked her head to the side, confused for a bit until she looked down absently, sending re-noticing her hard nipples, erect from the cold. She gasped and quickly covered herself with her books, hearing several people laugh suddenly. Immediately she bolted towards her locker, dodging people left and right while trying not to lose her glasses.

She looked around the hall, trying to figure out which one she was in. Finally she spotted a big "A" and sped up, getting closer to her target. However, when she looked forward once again, fate took her for a loop, sending her crashing into someone. She yelped in surprise and bumped backwards, her books in her hands scattering everywhere. Immediately, she started to gather her books in a hurry, mumbling out a spew of "Sorry!" over and over again.

What surprised her was hearing a male voice say the same thing back, actually helping her with her mess. Most of the other kids in the school literally would have ignored her. Nobody would have teased Noelle of course, mostly due to Abby, but everyone mutually agreed not to associate much with her.

Noelle brought her head up then, wondering who was actually being nice to her and immediately flushed a bright red in the face. There, now standing after picking up her books was a tall human boy, about 5'11". He had short dark brown hair and a nice build to his body, showing he was active enough. His eyes were a lighter brown color which reminded Noelle of bark on a tree. He wore a light blue t-shirt and dark blue shorts along with white and blue sneakers.

The guy offered a hand to Noelle after she had looked at him, visually red also. This only made Noelle blush more as she took the hand, although slightly reluctant. He lifted her easily up and looked at her all over, chuckling nervously. "So, uh, I guess you got the wrong weather report too?"

Noelle couldn't say anything. She was just so struck by the guy that her knees shook a little at the sight of him. And his voice! Oh! It drove her in a tizzy. It was deep and masculine, with a touch of charm, a hint of understanding, and just a tad of mystery. It was like he was able to paint a perfect picture inside of her head, just by using a few words.

She soon noticed he was waiting for a response and she smiled nervously, getting beet red, eventually forcing her head to go up and down in a nod. He smiled, less red now, but still feeling both awkward and awestruck. The guy stepped awkwardly in his stance and gave Noelle her books back. He cleared his throat and looked around a bit, trying to focus on something besides Noelle, Noelle doing the same for the guy. "Er, um... so-"

Suddenly the bell rang and they both jumped, not expecting it. Noelle, in a panic, jumped and started to jog away, looking behind her and shouting, "Goodbye! See you later!" Noelle then ran all the way, holding her books tight and feeling the best that she had in years.

Josh reached out a bit, clearly upset at the fox girl running away before he could get her name. He sighed, pulling out a slip from his pocket, looking at it. He had moved to this town recently, just starting school a few months ago, and still couldn't figure out where everything was. Luckily everyone was pretty friendly and had helped him get around the place, soon bringing himself up the social ladder.

He happened to be next door neighbors to Drew, probably the most popular guy in the school. Drew had helped him and his family move in the first few days and they grew to be really good friends, Josh being somewhat like a body guard against the crowds of people Drew would be assailed with. It was the least he could do, since Drew already brought him to some sports games and some concerts.

Sighing, Josh started to go down the hall, walking and checking the number on the slip with the numbers on the doors. "211... 213... 215..." At the door to 215, he paused and opened it up, the class luckily not starting yet. Everyone was just around, chilling for now, talking with whoever was around. The teacher was also pretty relaxed, letting his feet up on the table. He happened to be a monkey, a little aged but seemed like a fun and happy-go-lucky kind of guy.

The teacher smiled and stood up, waving a hand for Josh to come in. Josh walked in, earning a few welcomes from the others inside. He eventually got to the teachers desk in which the teacher said after a sigh, "So, new round here?" Josh nodded. The teacher nodded and chuckled. "And yet so many know you already... Lucky kid!" He laughed a bit and grinned, extending a hand. "Mr. Prime is my name, don't wear it out..."

Josh smiled, liking Mr. Prime, and shook his hand. Mr. Prime only smiled back and waved his hand towards the others. "Just chill out for now with some friends. I got to do something for a bit and later on I think we will do an experiment or two!" Josh nodded and hefted his bag up a bit, turning around and heading for some of his newer friends.

With some kind of luck, he found Drew, sitting in a corner of the room with a buffalo, two human boys, and a horse. Drew saw Josh first and smiled, saying, "Yo! Dude! Over here!" Josh rolled his eyes and smiled, dropping his bag next to Drew as he took a seat near him. It wasn't long before everyone was acquainted with each other and a good conversation began.

However, before they could get very far, the door suddenly opened and a small furry face popped in, looking at a card she had. Noelle had found her schedule card among her books and was slightly late going to class due to her bra situation and meeting Josh. After making sure it was her classroom though, she entered and walked in to the whole class staring at her for a second, quiet. After they knew who it was, they resumed their conversations and went on like nothing happened.

Mr. Prime looked up though and smiled wide, knowing exactly who it was. He stood up once again from his "work" and strode to his front desk, putting his hands on the table. "Ms. Noelle Millard, what a surprise! I expected you to be in a higher Chemistry class than this!" He looked at the time. "And on time. Is there a problem?"

Noelle shook her head and grinned was all. "No, no... just had a bit of trouble remembering where the classroom was Mr. Prime. I hadn't had you since last year after all!" She chuckled a bit along with Mr. Prime, who shooed her on her way, forgiving her tardiness. Immediately she brought herself to a faraway desk away from most of the people and sat down, taking out a pad and pencil, drawing something.

Josh, however, wanted to know what that something was, but didn't want to go up to her, not even knowing her name. It also struck him odd about the whole behavior of the classroom towards her. While he got friendly hellos and such from everyone, she was welcomed by a cold reception from her classmates. That didn't fly by him too well and he turned to Drew, after he was done laughing at a funny joke. "Hey, dude... who is that chick?"

Drew looked at where Josh was pointing and shook his head. "A sad case really... Don't worry about her Josh..."

Drew clapped a hand on Josh's shoulder but Josh shrugged it off. "No dude, seriously, who is that girl?" He had noticed, along with some of the others in the group, that Josh couldn't help but stare at her and admiring her, much to the others shock and disgust.

The horse, named Damien, shook his head and crossed his arms back and forth. "No, dude, don't even think about it. She ain't worth the trouble she would cause you! Nobody talks to... to..."

"Noelle." Drew muttered to Damien.

Damien nodded and looked at Josh. "Yeah, Noelle! I heard she's part of the Nagi Regime, that weird terrorist group from Germany!" Josh chuckled and rolled his eyes, but Damien looked pretty serious, continuing. "I mean it! I hear stuff like that every day and usually worse from around school!"

One of the human boys, Paul, nodded right after he said that. "Yeah, I hear stuff too! I heard she killed her cousins by poison one Christmas so she could have more presents! I also heard that..."

Josh listened to the wild accusations for a good 10 minutes, thinking that they had to be wrong or mistaken. Such a cute and wonderful girl couldn't be that bad... Could she? Josh shook his head a bit to clear it out and finally thrusted out his hands into the group circle. "Guys! I just wanted her name, not a life story, alright?"

Drew chuckled and playfully punched him. "Hey, just having a conversation is all dude, lighten up! Anyways, isn't-"

Mr. Prime then suddenly whistled, cutting Drew off from his sentence and getting everyone's attention. Once he knew everyone was looking at him, he got behind his desk and motioned for everyone to take a seat. Drew sat in the top right corner of the room, nearest to the door, while Josh sat behind him and in front of Noelle. He walked by her from behind and looked down at her, but she was too caught up with what she was drawing. He could smell vanilla and lavender on her, two of his favorite smells, and almost melted right there. However, he slipped into his seat and looked forward, trying not to get in trouble with the teacher already.

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Noelle was blushing terribly once again. She couldn't believe what was happening! There he was, again; that boy from before that stole her heart and lit her soul on fire. She sniffed for a bit and exhaled dreamily. He smelled of campfires, one of her favorite smells, and smiled happily behind him. She could feel her tail wag slowly back and forth, showing her feelings very well. She hadn't felt this way in... well... she never had felt this way! It was both indescribable yet so familiar that she should have known how to talk about it.

Suddenly though, she heard a voice, distant at first, but then slowly focused on it and it got clearer and louder until- "Noelle? Noelllllllllle? Are you ok?" It was Mr. Prime and he was over her, looking down at the fox in slight worry.

Noelle suddenly snapped back into reality and looked around in awe, going, "Hm?" Everyone in the class was looking at her, wondering what the deal was, and Noelle flushed a bright red, not used to and not wanting the sudden attention. She eventually nodded at the teacher and murmured, "Y-yeah, I'm fine... I just smelled... something really good and-"

"Was it vanilla and lavender?" a male voice resonated.

The fox looked at Mr. Prime, thinking he asked her the question, but he looked as surprised as she did. Noelle wrinkled her brow in confusion and looked around, noticing the attention had shifted from her to the seat in front of her. Josh sat quietly, sitting face forward while everyone, Drew included, looked at him like he was some kind of nut. He shifted in his seat and asked again. "Was the smell vanilla and lavender?"

Josh turned around and smiled at Noelle truthfully. It wasn't a cheesey smile or a smile that was forced upon his face, no. It was a real genuine smile, all for Noelle. Noelle flushed even redder and sunk in her seat a bit, so embarrassed and awed at that moment. However, from the pit of her stomach, she produced the energy to shake her head. "No, it wasn't... It was the smell of a campfire..."

Josh's face suddenly lit up and he chuckled a bit, still looking at the girl behind her. Mr. Prime looked between the two of them and shrugged his shoulders, joining a few of the others in the class, who all returned attention to the front of the class. They thought nothing of it, thinking that someone with a reputation such as Josh would never be interested in a girl like Noelle. It didn't add up to many of the students in there but one thing was for sure; Noelle and Josh knew that their chemistry was working out.
