The Daily War
like a whisper in night,
they are in the fight,
with weapons quite as wind,
never missing a sigh,
death leaves the lips,
enemeys collapse.
a blood curdling scream,
one taken to death,
blood covers the side of your face,
steaming in the air,
its now like mace in your eyes,
your friend, your foe, yourself,
lovers breath, lost again in battle,
ones seen it coming, why couldnt you?
now in the jungle of confusion,
wake with a start,
just another mark,
the sweat and tears pour,
like rain and snow.
life lost in reality or dreams?
feels the same,
everyone has a name,
to die at such a young age in war,
the daily war of life.
